What takes too long to get there, and gets there fast enough to do the job?

Unfortunately, it's the police that too often take too long to get there. When a bullet from an honest, hard working citizen's gun takes a fraction of a second to respond to the necessary call.

The speed of light takes a fraction of second to send a phone signal into outer space and back, but the police car's internal combustion engine is still limited by traditional, earth bound laws of physics.

We're in a crime riddled era. Gun grabbing Feinstein Wives claim we don't live in the Wild West any more. True. There weren't as many gangsters in the Old West as there are today. The odds are far greater today that the man on the street will try to mug or rape you, than it was in Wyatt Earp's day.

The gun grabbing Feinstein Wives say, "Let the crime happen. Let the rapist rape you. Then let the police do their job afterward."

Yeah, a lot of good that does the victim. The Feinstein Wives have their armed bodyguards and their concealed carry permits. But it's okay with them if the average citizen has little recourse but to file a police report after they've been hospitalized by the criminal act.

One woman made headlines by opening saying, "I'd rather die than hurt a criminal by defending myself"

That philosophy doesn't sit well with many people......myself deeply included. When the criminal is done assaulting you, there's a darn good chance they'll go after your family.

This gentleman in Oklahoma kept telling the 911 dispatcher the police better hurry up. The criminal was kicking in his door. Then told the dispatcher, "I just put three rounds into his a&&."

This is a story becoming more and more common in an America run by liberal politicians who keep the borders open to the drug cartel business.

While the Feinstein Wives with their bodyguards claim that all is just fine in an America they think you don't have any right to protect yourself and your family.

Fully justified, the guy's house was broken into at 4:30AM, he stayed on the phone with the dispatcher the entire time, and he defended himself like he said he was going to. You make an excellent point, no matter how great the technology is, police will most likely not make it to the scene on time.

It appears that there has been a lot of resistance against the gun control lobby, so hopefully this will be another story combined with all of the other stories of justified self defense that can further convince anti gunners that it is indeed OKAY to protect yourself, and you don't have to be a victim.

I'm not a violent person. I abhor conflict of any type.

But if someone broke into my house, and/or threatened my son or myself, there's going to be a fight.

I survived one assault. The next time...one of us is going to die. And I'm determined it won't be me.

Home invasions occur about once every 15 seconds in the United States. As for kidnapping, in 2010 the US ranked 6th highest in the world for rate of kidnappings for ransom, right behind the 5th highest, Columbia.

Now I know how to defend myself. So that's one good thing about surviving.

That's why they say to teach your children young how to protect themselves.

It's nice to have police around......and they should have police protecting children in our schools. A lot of schools have been doing this for a long time.

But we have to teach our children to be self reliant in protecting themselves.

you know they will probably prosecute this guy for attempted murder, and use the 911 tapes against him...

Good for him shooting that piece of trash. If more homeowners provided their own protection in their homes instead of relying on the police or "neighborhood watches" criminals would think twice before trying to break in and steal what is rightfully another human beings.

Good for him, everyone should be more like this guy. People yelling about gun control or waiting for police are just cowards too scared to defend themselves and protect whats theirs. When the time comes will be the same ones screaming for security at the expense of freedoms and rights. It is insane to stand their and let someone assault you and rob you blind, its quite sane to have the want to hurt someone for trying to victimize you or your family. I just call it human nature.
