Texas Moves to Repatriate its Gold from the Federal Reserve

This is one of the most interesting stories I have read regarding the precious metals market in quite some time. It appears that Texas Rep. Giovanni Capriglione has a bill in play that would move the state’s gold from New York (where its under the “safekeeping” of the ultra shady Federal Reserve) to a depository within the state of Texas itself. The reason this would be such a big deal if it happens, is because a lot of the gold bought and sold globally is not very likely not actually owned by those that “buy” it. From my perspective, pretty much the only countries that actually buy gold and bring it within their borders are China, Russia and Iran. Most other nations that claim they “bought” gold, most likely hold a certificate that states they have gold in London or New York. So in other words, they have no gold. It looks like Texas is wising up.

This is very fascinating news, I know some see Texas as the last place to escape the Tyranny.. I think Texas might be preparing to go independent and if one state could pull it off it would be Texas.

If i'm not mistaken Texas has always been kind of a hard audience to feed bullsh*t so it makes perfectly sense they are planning an escape.

Further on some interesting quotes that only supports the notion the the federal reserve is empty. And regretfully shows that the US economy is heading for a big crash.

The United States and many other countries stopped pegging their currencies to the gold standard decades ago. Capriglione said the bill is not about putting Texas on its own gold standard. Rather, a depository would give the state a reputation as being more financially secure in the event of a financial crisis.

Transporting gold from New York City or other banks to Texas would be impractical from a security and logistics standpoint, Capriglione said.

As the author from the article says its weird; gold is being shipped all day, and it wouldn't even be an international shipment... so why the fuzz?

So some of them are preparing... Oh and the juice it up... Ron Paul isn't to far behind from this whole idea and think tank... or that's what I got out of the article.

Such a bill might not divide lawmakers along strictly party lines. State Sen. Rodney Ellis, D-Houston, called the bill “an interesting concept” but said he would want to learn more about it and talk to “colleagues in the financial industry” before weighing in on its merits.

Perry, lawmakers want state’s gold back in Texas

I see the Almighty Financial Industry needs to be kept abreast of the situation, before anything can happen.....

Lets see Texas take it back by force, if need be.

If the gold belongs to the state of Texas, I think they should possess it. As far as safely getting it back to Texas, come on, they can get a thousand trustworthy people and thirty armored cars in an instant there to escort the gold. I thought everyone in Texas had a gun. They will make sure the stuff reaches it's new home.

Well this is certainly something to keep an eye on.. I truly interested how this will develop. So Texas is like the 3rd country/state to ask its gold back? This can only show world wide economic collapse/ war

Take a pick hehe. Also when u link it to : www.abovetopsecret.com...

Bernanke thinking of stepping then you know SHTF is close.

Interesting... I will keep an eye on this.

I'm curious to see if the Texans get their Gold back in less than 7 years.

Yes, us Texans have guns and them some...

We could transport all our gold back here safely from New York with our own armored vehicles, hehehe!

That's right, don't mess with Texas!

Makes me proud to hear this news and I certainly hope every effort is made to insure it's completion.

I think it should be a requirement for all Texans to have at least one gun per household to qualify as a citizen of the state. If they don't like it they can move to New York. We have mostly deer rifles up here in the UP. There are probably a lot more deer rifles than deer

We want our UP gold back from the Feds too..........Someone can mail that denial of having any gold in an envelope.

This is a false claim. I live in Texas. Being an independent republic, Texas has always held it's own gold. The Federal government holds zero Texas gold...Is Prick Perry ready to file a false claim? That sounds completely legit! Let our "govener" pursue this claim; I'd love to see him behind bars.

It gets squashed because it's an effing lie. There is no "upstairs"....upstairs talk is nothing but paranoia.

I can just see what the Feds will do.
They will do everything in their power to get them to stop it.
Including killing family members.

Texas are doing this so they can sever all ties to the Obama dictatorship.
If they did. Obama would close their air space.
And close the borders.

Texas can get bent. They and a few other states actually want to secede from the United States. Absolutely ridiculous, will never happen. I don't see them getting any supposed gold either. If they allow them to do that, then everyone and their dog will be demanding gold.

Everyone is demanding gold. Did Chavez get his from England before he died? Is Germany going to get their gold from the Fed in New York? Is Texas going to get it?

Probably not - it's all gone. Probably moved to the vatican.

Good for Texas. The next thing they should do is hold all of the federal taxes they withhold prom payrolls for ransom.

That's pretty funny. My bet is they would get pulled over by the DHS armored tanks somewhere between texas and New York, and have all the gold confiscated on the grounds that it's illegal to cross state borders with that much money...

Why NYC - Ft. Knox Kentucky is much closer - if this meatball was anything more than a fake grandstanding politician - he and Dick Perry would rent 20 Armored Trucks and drive to the gates of Ft. Knox and see what's up.
