I've been having a recurring dream lately where I visit a village. I know I'm dreaming so am able to explore the area. Nothing really happens in the dream other than I can freely walk around, there is a church, pub, shops and a castle in the distance. I can reach the castle but am not allowed to enter, there are farms and animals around the castle. One of the farms I fear entering and stay clear. The roads are covered in bright green leaves. There is also a port nearby with a huge white crane.

It's been on my mind to come here and see if anyone would like to try and share this dream? If we are all part of a much larger consciousness, then what if we connect to it during our dreams? I think it would be incredible if I try and visit this village in my dreams and encounter fellow ATS members!

At the moment, I am free to walk around but don't feel welcome in the village. In fact, it often feels hostile despite how beautiful it is.

I'll post a couple pictures to give an idea of what it looks like-

The built up area looks similar to this-

On the way to the castle and outer areas-

I know it is a longshot but I find it amazing that I can visit this place in my dreams and maybe if you try, we could share a mutual dream...

I'll have to remember to look at this right before bedtime.
I often dream of what ive seen during the day.

Post a pic of a castle, the farm should be full of sheep or alpacas, because those animals aren't aggressive, and maybe won't be scary to walk through.

Maybe you'll have lots of company this time in your dream

i regularly, in fact most of the time, dream i'm in a town of sorts that is similar in general to 'your' dream village. in that there is a pub, a church, farms. it is always pretty much the same, so i know the layout of the place well.

Might I suggest changing up your location? The less familiar you are with something in a dream (in this case a location) the less reliable it is to work with. It's going to be tough for a dreamer to actually get to that location.

Somewhere like the moon on the other hand, everyone is familiar with. The moon for a shared dreaming meeting place has the added bonus of being barren and desolate. That means there's nothing interesting up there to hold your attention, so if there is another dreamer present, you will naturally be drawn to them since they are they only thing to focus on.

I'd give it a shot, but I haven't been sleeping well.

It'll be interesting to see what happens as long as as you read about the dream and you may well be taken there

Interesting, would you be able to share any more details, are you free to walk around and in control?

One central piece from my dream that stands out is there is a patch of grass surrounded by a shoulder high wall. It's in the centre of the town part, and you can look over the wall to a pub, it's an old style pub, something you would see in Ireland or old English town.

I spend a lot of time in the dream here, whatever I'm slighty nervous about I think is in the pub, tree branches and leaves dangle towards the wall, so it is like I am hidden looking out, almost as though I'm on a stakeout!!

not in the 'lucid' sense, ie i can't directly influence things. but within normal dream parameters yes i am free to wander around, there are no 'off-limits' areas i'm aware of.

Interesting you should bring that up. One of my most memorable dreams was several years ago, but I still reflect on it every so often.

My parents sent me to a special hospital located in deep space. Stay with me... I know how bizarre this sounds, lol! Anyway this hospital was a very lonely place. My parents told me I had to go there because it was the only place that could treat my condition (no clue what my condition was). I guess doctors were there, but I never saw them? They never communicated with me.

The actual "treatment plan" was sitting in this metallic pod type thing, covered in windows all around. The pod hovered about like a satellite from whatever far off planet I'd been sent to. I'm not sure how I got there or how I returned, but the treatment felt like it lasted for years yet went by quickly, if that makes any sense at all. The only thing I can recall about the experience is how lonely I felt out there. It was beautiful and the treatment worked but I had no one to share it with.

So weird! I don't watch or read science fiction stuff. My true belief in UFO sightings is that they are military projects we aren't supposed to know about, maybe even for our own good. I'm not good at dream interpretations either, but I sure do have some damn strange ones every now and then. I think this one is in my top 50.

You may not be big on sci-fi, but you still know the basics. I'd say it's that unfamiliarity with the topic that led to it being such a strange dream that mixed themes (space/medicine). If you had been a sci-fi buff, the dream would have followed structures you would recognize.
