the chinese used pooh and cowpies for cooking,its how stir fry was invented.Since a cowpie didn't burn for a long time,you had to get it all done fast,hence the rounded pans,and very thin pans to heat quickly and evenly.
As stated in another reply,a 55 gallon setup would lite a burner for 6 minutes or so.Probably wouldn't start a generator!
In my humble opinion,why try to keep a generator running to begin with?It requires fuel,oil,and maintainence.Need heat to cook or boil water? Use a fresnel lense from an old TV.Solar power to charge batteries.
