Is it just me, or does it seem like there are less and less interesting UFO sightings. Does it seem like fewer people are interested, less documentaries are produced, rarely any good investigation is completed and there is no media coverage when research is being done?

I feel like the UFOs have all flown away, back to wherever they came from. What happened to the quality sightings and investigations that seemed to occur weekly back in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s? Have they been replaced by hoaxes on youtube, barely comprehensible three sentence "sighting reports" with poor grammar on mufon.com? Every once in a while the MUFON UFO journal will have some investigated sighting reports. Every once in a while.

Are UFOs dying? Could the subject die out completely? Would it even be possible? In 100 years, or even 50, could there be a sizable amount of the population that doesn't even know about the UFO phenomenon? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe more people are interested in the subject after all. I hope so.

IMO the last truly good UFO case with substantial media coverage was the Stephenville Texas sightings more than 5 years ago!

These ideas sadden me. I believe that UFOs are a true mystery. Not aliens necessarily, although it could be. If there is something behind the UFOs whether alien in origin or even stranger, it would be a tragedy for the entire subject to die without the public knowing the truth.

What do you think? is the subject dying?

I have been wondering the same thing. It feels like the media pumped them up so much for them to all of a sudden start to dissipate. Hmmmmmm I wonder why...

Have you noticed the craft have gone through a complete design change since the 1940's .... and that they chnage in line with our sci-fi programs designs on TV and the movies......

Perhaps what you are sensing is that many have caught on to the lies and the deception.

Many researchers such as Joe Jordan have exposed the fraud, coverup, and the hidden agenda even among some of the researchers themselves and so fewer people are as gullible as they once were.

We ARE being LIED to and people like Joe Jordan, L.A. Marzulli and others makes this absolutely undeniable.

They are inveterate liars and deceivers, and delight in bamboozling and misleading mankind with all manner of nonsense. They are addicted to the abduction or kidnapping of humans. (The Scotsman Robert Kirk, who wrote "The Secret Commonwealth" in 1691, evidently "knew more than was good for his health", and was killed by them.)

The True Nature Of The 'UFO Entities' By Gordon Creighton

“UFOs are real but they are not physical. They are messengers of deception”Jacques Vallee

The UFOs do not seem to exist as tangible, manufactured objects. They do not conform to the natural laws of our environment. They seem to be nothing more than transmogrifications tailoring themselves to our abilities to understand. The thousands of contacts with the entities indicate that they are liars and put-on artists. (John Keel - Operation Trojan Horse p. 266)

Forbidden Secret - www.scribd.com...

"We got a coverup among the researchers themselves that people are relying on for the truth" ~ Joe Jordan

"Joe is obviously not popular with many UFO believers for ‘blowing the whistle’ and revealing the deception behind it all..."

I actually tried to make a thread about that.

Where did the flying saucer go?

So that brings me to the point of the headline. Because today, we see videos from youtube, and mostly they are lights in the sky, they are sometimes still disc shaped, but dosn't look like the metal looking hardware from the old days.
So does it exist, the flying saucer? It seems to have vanished, in to thin air, and as we entered the digital era, the flying saucer upgraded to flashy lights, some even transformed in to triangular shape.
When they come on video, they are blurred, shaky and sometimes obviusly fake.

People aren't looking at the sky now that we have flat-panel displays, the Internet, cell phones, and hand-held game devices.
The cherry blossoms are in bloom in Japan, but people walk down the street texting and don't notice much off-screen.

UFOs can buzz around with impunity and go unnoticed.

Well, I would assume it's used as part of the giant social experiment and it's use has run out for the time being.

Probably it's not marketable at the moment or they are waiting to unleash it all at once like usual.

Personally I don't think they've EVER been here and what we are seeing are probes from multiple races.
Sometimes they shoot through Sol's system and carry on their way,
other times they get caught up around Nuclear facilities.

Either way, they aren't organic imo, they are drones piloted presumably by programming.

Are you trying to allude to the fact that ufo's change with the times and that they are reflective of us and not us of them? Any one with half a brain and I say again half, knows that the ufo phenomenon is a meme and not a truth. All the best and prolific investigators come to an understanding that it is a trick. Something is haunting our planet and people walk around with the creatures faces on t shirts and avatars. Only armchair amateurs think the ships have life from other worlds in them. Those that know better understand a darker truth that is not at all pleasant.

You KNOW! Thank god there are some out there who do, I was beginning to think that no one could possibly understand anything anymore. Yes its all a joke on mankind. Where does christianity come from? The hidden ones. Where does Islam come from? the hidden ones Where do all of the religions that devide human beings come from? The hidden ones. they play humanity against each other in order to divide and conquer, keeping us busy killing and hating ourselves in order to not take the time to truly see them. The current ufo type meme is a play on our infatuation with technology and our lust and desire to make things easier for ourselves with magic tech that will make our life so cushy and fix all our woes instead of working it out for ourselves. 100 yrs ago it was airships that had period dressed people popping out of them and a load of garbage about steam powered airlift and the like. Who knows what they will be doing in 50 yrs, maybe we will be back to fighting with bows and arrows and they will appear to us as the gods of old, and the wheel will turn again.

Everyone is looking down at their phones instead of Up at the skies. Not only that but those that do look are can't be bothered to gather video, photo's or other evidence just to be told a billion things it could be ad nauseum or that it could easily be replicated by someone gifted with CGI knowledge. Why bother? There comes a point when it is really not worth trying to help open other people's eyes when they insist and squeezing them shut and shouting while holding their hands over their ears.

I think the previous posters who have stated that humanity's obsession with its own technology has caused us to put our search for ET life on the back burner.

Does anyone know if the amount of reported abductions has decreased in recent years?

Because if it has, that fact coupled with the decrease of sightings could imply that most abductions really are nothing more than products of sleep paralysis, and sub-conscious hallucinogenic manifestations.
