Very odd and very strange. There must be something going on. Why this show? Why now?

South park hasn't made any new episodes for a while, Supernatural is taking forever for the episodes to be released.

True blood and all those other shows are crap.

Pretty much Supernatural and Game of thrones are the only decent fantasy series out there. People are freaking out because its just been reruns and crap people don't like to watch on TV for a while now.

People are dying to know what will happen with the zombies. And the dragons. Everything else in the show was just a filler, at least in my oppinion the main story line is boring. All the diologue is boring. Sometimes its interesting but its mostly just a lot of rabble rabble rabble rabble blah blah blah im a dwarf and i have a sense of humor.

If the show did not have the Wall, the big ice wall. Or the story with the kalisi, No one would watch it. Period. People are only wondering what their interpritation of zombie apolcalypse is, and wtf the dragons are doing? And why are they in the show? If there was no dragons the show would of been cancled a while ago. KInda pisses me off too when i watch episodes that don't show that side of the story. Just boring dribble about betrayal this betrayal that. Repeat garbage. The acting is *okay* they play their part and they do a decent job. But all to often they are soft spoken, and you miss a couple things they say. Ontop of that, It kinda makes you sleepy. Just listening to them ramble on about absolutely nothing.

The dragon and zombie story better be good. Otherwise im predicting this show will go belly up if the plot isn't any good.

...If you want to know what happens. Read the books. Very little is "filler" (except the sex scenes which I could do without)

As Game of Thrones is filmed here in N.Ireland I like watching it and trying to identify the background. Mostly it's around Co.Antrim, where we have large areas with nothing in it but bracken, like the Antrim Plateau. Sean Bean is often seen in Belfast bars too.

Game of Thrones is one of the best TV-shows running out there in my opinion, nothing overhyped about it.

It has not created some kind of cult, it simply is that good. The books have been extremely popular and their popularity can be compared to Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings. IMDB rating of the show is 9.4 by 280k people, which is one of the highest rated tv-series ever. As far as I remember only the Wire had gotten more points than this one.

I have also read the books and truly one of the best storylines I have ever seen. Brilliantly done
Cant wait for the season

The first time I read "The Red Wedding" sequence was the first time I read over the same section of a book multiple times in an hour.

The OP has to be to be completely removed from current pop culture.

-LOL, I am removed from POP culture- But now POP culture is totally invading the land of the Nerd... Obscure things like Lord Of the Rings (imagine that Lord of the rings was once obscure-) seeped into POP culture and its not ended since.

The Walking Dead (something else nobody had ever heard of)- Song Of Ice and Fire (now the most popular cable Show) and soon :" American Gods" (HBO is in talks to make that into a series)

POP culture has invaded nerd-dom- Soon regular everyday people will be talking about their Bid D&D game over the weekend and I will *Facepalm* LOLOLOLOL

perhaps its because the new season starts at the end of the month? its been a very popular if not long winded and often delayed book series but i fail to see the conspiracy here relating ebay to it but i would be very happy to get your point of the view on the matter.i hope i helped and hope you can clarify what you are worried about as im curious as to your reasoning

Hope you enjoy it.
My mother loves it and she's past 60 years.

I'd have to admit that I'd be blushing though if I ever sat and watched it with her during some scenes.

No thanks, mom.
I'll catch it when I get home.

read the books they are better....tv show is more of a clifs notes version of it....only complain i had with the book is that its a bit rape heavy in a few parts for my liking and while i know that was the standard for the day they portray it was normal but still not something i enjoy reading about but it is a really good book series in my opinion

I'm sure they paid for it to top E-Bay, as advertising for the new season premier...

Game of Thrones is an excellent and very popular TV show on HBO. I would imagine the reason for it being hyped at the moment is that it is just about to come back on the air for a new season. Those of us who watch the show have been excited about the upcoming episodes for awhile now.

Exactly, for fans of the show, it's one you don't DVR, but watch that night because you want to see what happens (even those of us reading the books). The books are very well written (though he does go on and on describing things a little TOO much sometimes.) The narrator of the audio books does a good job too. I've done a combo of audio vs. print in my reading of the series.
