Great Idea. I'd definitely contribute and also learn from a forum on agriculture.

I think you've made a wonderful suggestion and I'd be very interested in participating should such a forum come about.

Great idea!

Aaah, gardening.

Spring fever caught me late this year....I try to start seeds around March 19th....and love to talk about gardening.

Over the years, there's been plenty of garden threads.
They can be in Survival, Chit Chat or Food and Cooking.

We gardeners will find them

Yes please oh please oh please....I would love a gardening forum.
This is so much more important than we think. It's not just about food, but also medicines and disease prevention, and the more we can share resources and knowledge the better. We have a seed bank, we have started our garden diary, I've ordered a heated propagator, and I can't wait to start on this years crop. Most of our planting will be in containers this year as we are expecting to move house this year, but that's fine with me..it's a challenge, but will still be productive.

Consider me another yes vote!
I think it's a great idea, as well as proactive to some of the issues facing us today.
I know I would feel more comfortable contributing somewhere that I actually have more experience than just reading about it. Please?

Yep another thumbs up from me for a gardening section, even if it's stuck down in BTS somewhere.

With times being hard for many, and things only getting worse around the world, i would love to see a forum that could help us grow our own.

Whether full on food growing or just decorative gardening and garden diy projects, i would love to see it happen.

Not saying i'm any good at it, but i want to learn for the sake of me and my kids. This week i am looking to get some guttering so i can make salad planters on the fence.

A gardening forum would be incredible cool!
I hope to see it happening - I mean - why not?

Oh, and if not - start a thread - we'll all keep it going for sure! At least I hope so!

peace

Sounds like a good idea to me. I would hope to learn a lot and maybe even submit my own info. I'd like to learn
about different methods of composting. Many subjects could be worked into the forum. For instance, the idea
of seed sprouting has been around for awhile but read somewhere it is not always safe as purchasers of
seed sprouts have been sickened. Thanks for submitting the idea of a gardening forum.

I myself wouldn't mind a forum for gardening, I just don't think it would be active enough to warrant its' own forum.
I've posted gardening posts under fragile earth before, survival isn't a bad option either.

I think a Gardening Forum in off topics would be a good idea

Me too.

I learned a lot about gardening and growing plants and food on the survival forum.

A Gardening Forum would round off ATS.

I'm throwing my vote in for this as well. I plan to start a garden-related thread somewhere else regardless (because I can't help myself - it's begun!!) but I have never felt gardening fits very well under the other categories. It's a topic that would benefit greatly from communal discussion and I think there is an audience here on ATS.

Someone stared a garden thread I will try and dig it out. For the time being that will have to suffice. I will find a link to it for you...
