Revisiting John Titor predictions 12 years later. Look Familiar?

I read up on the Titor stuff a while back and it was pretty interesting. Some of what he said about this time period seems plausible to an extent. It doesn't take much to see how bad things are getting. We have a lot of idiots running things these days and a lot of people are unhappy. I do think some group or government is eventually going to do something irreversible and cause a lot of damage.

The world he described in the post nuclear war age actually sounded appealing to me on so many levels.... small communities... simple lives... much more difficult but much more rewarding. I'm not so sure that any effort would change that future.

If it's going to happen, maybe it's best not to worry about it too much and let it happen. We've been on that course for many decades now... centuries really.

I don't know.... like trying to stop a runaway train....

John Titor would be buried in my hoax bin right next to D4rk Kn1ght and hidden-hand if it weren't for the fact that the time machine schematics he produced resulted in a patent. Not that patents mean a whole lot these days but someone thought it was worth it to spend the money on it.

I do not give his "prophesy" much weight at all. They are all too vague and based on conditions that were present when they were written.

I also don't think time travel will ever be possible, or we would know. Even then, this picture sums it up:

Not to be directed at you op. I found it all extremely fascinating at the time.

does not matter who he was or where he came from. thats all window dressing. he may have been a clairvoyant or an abstute observer of humanity. what he said should be judged and at least some of what he says is spot on. my 2pesos

Yawn. Strange he wasn't one of the three billion wiped out.

Of course the power grids and all electronic and mechanical equipment would fail to work and so he manages to build a time device anyway ?????

His scenario is plausible, but so is any scenario anyone could put up here.

This isn't a movie, or a video game... k? Nuclear holocaust isn't a joke, or a fantasy. Except IN your fantasies. It would be bad news for everyone.
From a Biblical prophecy standpoint, if I understand correctly: The three years of peace are BEFORE, not after the Tribulation. So, it would be before any said disaster that we experience such a peace. There is no time of peace after the Tribulation. Everyone is taken up and goes in the first wave to Heaven with God, or they go in the second wave, or they go to hell. The 1,000 year reign.doesn't ever say it's on Earth, I've looked at this prophecy over and over again many times, no where does it even suggest that it's on Earth. In fact, it says "taken up into the air" and THEN reigning for a 1,000 years.

Everyone needs to stop the "oh I can't wait until half the world is eliminated so the rest of us do-gooders can live in peace and harmony" Pshht. It's not gonna happen. Not like you fantasize. Ever.


I believe it is only for the faithless to hope there is some kind of twisted peace on Earth. Afterall, it would be twisted to appreciate a peace when half the people on the world have been wiped out, and ESPECIALLY twisted if you're wishing for it before it even happens. Plus, if you have faith in God in Heaven... why does it have to take place on Earth? Yep.

Do correct me where I'm wrong, but only if you can correct me with the Bible, cuz that's what I'm talking about and I'll just ignore any of the "well if you believe in the mythical bible" or whatever.

Regarding "The Patent". First of all, ANYONE can get a patent for ANYTHING. This patent is years old and yet nothing has come out of it. The guy who got the patent also has 0 credibility in anything and is actually a big John Titor fan. Probably some guy with a lot of money who believed too much into a very poorly written science fiction. Yes, Titor was terrible at science fiction, but great at marketing. Any science fiction buff KNOWS JT is bunk, because of his obvious attempts at appealing to Sci-Fi. Even moreso, if you're also a hoaxer you have even more assurity it's all bogus. His phrasings and patterns are littered with standard hoax (or time traveler hoax) patterns and formula. If this keeps going on I'll begin to point it out more and more. JT is not a fraud, he did a good thing, so I won't call him a Fraud. He did something that needed to be done and inevitably would be done. And, like I said... an idea I had at 10 years old.... more on that next paragraph.

Regarding him being "spot on" If you look at many ATS threads from years ago, many of them are "spot on" with what's going on today, but none of them are time travelers. Heck, like I said, i was TEN years old and was much more spot on than John Titor was about today's day and age. You think he's a visionary when it succeeds no more than a 10 year old's visions. Quite sad.

What, really... does John Titor say that isn't obvious? Remember, he says NOTHING specific. Like I said, no specifics anywhere. You'd think he'd mention the flu issue, the MAJOR sandy hook event, Christopher Dormer, Dark Knight shootings, Pope being elected, OR... if you think those are all "world line" differences, what about the probably NOT world line differences... like Flat Screen phones, etc? We'd have those I'd say regardless of the world line. John Titor is an obvious hoaxer (beyond obvious) in the way that he does what a very basic and amateur Sci-Fi writer does, he leaves the IMAGINATION UP TO YOU... he gives you little outlines here and there but let's you fill it in, which is some of the biggest proof he's a hoax and one of the biggest tactics of a hoaxer. Very, very common hoaxing tactic. This shows that he is a much better MARKETER and psychological scientist than a writer, but still obviously an avid appreciator of both. Nothing, nothing about him is genuine. Like I said though, he's no fraud, but he is a hoax, I say he's no fraud because I believe he did a good thing in many ways.

But, I also think you're supposed to figure out it's just for fun/adventure sake. It's supposed to be the awareness of your typical american (the awareness of all the conflicts...) ... that your standard american should have... relaying it in a fun, time traveler, sci-fi way....

Wow, what a grim outlook. Could something so disastrous actually be a possibility in very very near future. Well, look at the world around us. Seems the conflict here at home between the federal government and the people just keeps getting worse with every month that passes.

Those against the government and status quo back then were considered outsiders and nuts. Now the government has a 20% approval rating and chatrooms, message boards and work place conversations center around the corruption involved.

Whatever anyone has to say about the man and his predictions, the one thing that stands out is someone or some group of people had a keen sense for predicting where we were headed, or were the same people making it happen.

And here we are, discussing time travel, exactly what I tried to explain this post wasn't about. Due to the very nature of time travel theories, this is a subject that can be debated till everyone dies and no one can prove either way, so it is a waste of time, and a waste of space on my thread.

I was hoping we could instead look at the message, and the state of the world today, and discuss the possibility of our world heading in the direction he described.

Remember that Titor also said that they would discover the secret to time travel at the CERN. Today they just announced the discovery of the Higgs boson. Amazing isn't it. According to Titor, they discover a way to create stable mini black holes in order to warp time and space.

Whatever, just type out anything you want and it's likely to come true in one way or another Even when small things happen like Australia and Japan have a dispute over some type of media or something, people will apply that prediction to it. Many countries WILL develop nukes, inevitably. And we will probably have a president that seems like many to be a dictator, and with the internet many people will "stand" against it. This could be applied to the third prediction.

and this is WITHOUT current economical/political or historical analysis. Which I'm not very good at or do I care... But if I was, and I had my current Hoax'ing abilities.... boy oh boy you would seen a good hoax making a lot of accurate predictions.


All you need is my hoax'ing/Sci-Fi abilities, and a little bit more of knowledge about the depths of current events/politics... and you have John Titor...







So he made some semi-accurate predictions?? From YOUR angle there was no way to perceive these predictions, but maybe from his studies it WAS obvious to HIM? People often come up with varying and conflicting predictions, predictions that contradict the expected.

So you're only saying that we've been closer after 9/11 than we were in the year or so that led up to it? Eh, that is probably a fair assumption, although I dont feel we've really been all that close since the 1980s (with the exception of one incident in the 90s, anyway). Closer to armed conflict, absolutely. But with nuclear weapons? Not really, in my opinion anyway.

THEY'RE NOT ACCURATE.

he uses the the simple aspect of "well our world lines could differ so these predictions may or may not come true" to dupe you! He provides an element that makes him correct NO matter what. Typical Time Traveler hoax methodology.

"No matter what I say, I'm still telling the truth because THIS could interfere with my predictions therefore giving credit to what I say no matter what"

We're.... *always*..... *very*.... close to Nuclear War. Any time you have nukes in the hands of mad men (now and for a long time) then it is an easy possibility at any point.


This is what makes it such an easy Time Travel hoax topic. or prediction/prophecy hoax topic.
