Pew: For Every 10 Americans, Only 3 Trust The Government

Well ats, this is unheard of, Americans for the most part, dont trust their governement. ( sarcasm off)

What does it take for them to listen and do what is right? I mean every one of these for over a decade now has been showing the same thing. I dont know why anyone would be suprised though, look around, talk to anyone, everything they say is a lie, they kill, they steal, they break every law thinkable, and the only people ever held accountable are the regular joes, not to mention the bail outs for the already filthy rich that could stand to lose several hundred million each, while the little guy who is already hurting loses his entire life savings, sorry about you.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C. has found that fewer Americans than ever trust the decisions made by the government.Data collected from a survey taken in January of this year indicates that all demographics and partisan groups experienced an increasing lack of faith in government leadership, according to arelease posted on the Pew Research website late last week.“However, there are disparities,” the official summary noted. “[M]ore than twice as many Hispanics as whites (44 percent vs. 20 percent) trust the federal government, and more blacks (38 percent) than whites trust the government.”Researchers additionally observed that younger Americans trust the government more than their older counterparts, and that more liberals believe in the administration of President Barack Obama than either independents or Republicans.Conversely, distrust of federal government is presently at 73 percent. Earlier on in the Obama administration, it reportedly hit a record high of 80 percent, according to a graph constructed and presented by researchers at Pew.Public perception of federal government has also gone down during Obama’s presidency – particularly among Democrats.“Since Barack Obama’s first year in office, public assessments of the federal government dropped nine points,” the release stated, citing findings from a survey conducted in April of 2012. “Most of the change was among Democrats and independents, as the level of favorable views of government among Republicans was already low.”Trust during President George W. Bush’s time in office was not much higher – and fell far more significantly during his eight years as Commander-in-Chief.According to Pew, almost 60 percent of people in the United States had confidence in the federal government before President Bill Clinton left office. When Bush left, national trust was down to about 25 percent of the nation’s people.Past presidents fared far better in the minds and eyes of the American populace. Trust was reportedly especially high when President John F. Kennedy was in office.

In my eyes, the only thing that has really changed besides the players is the fact we get our news from the net now, and arent limited to propaganda machines like back in the information dark ages, so we find out about their dirty little secrets, and are putting their feet to the fire, which is why they want a internet kill switch, and a great firewall of america so they can censor our content like china.

This is in no way to say I dont think bush and obama are just the worst, as I think these stats plainly show a lot agree.

It frightens me that 30% still trust the Government. At least with Bush and Obama more people should wake up to the fact that both parties suck.

I see the lessened trust continuing. Now the establishment may counter it even more. For the longest time they were not very worried but they are loosing the status quo control of people and more modern fear based grasp on the masses due to being too greedy. The question is now where will the masses be, how will they react? Similar to protests in Europe or are are they too weakened to rise up?

There is going to come at time where you will be forced to rise up... This charade cannot go for much longer in the West, if 30% only trust the government then the numbers are stacking against them. I reckon at about 20% an Israeli type paranioa will kick in

I was also more shocked that there werent more than the actual number who were. I have long stopped trusting these swine, though it is nice to see we arent the only ones who have noticed.

Well so far it seems that nobody is suprised really either, that is the scariest part of all.

I believe that they will be ratcheting it up even further now, with their " you WILL like us, because we said so, or else" mentality. It is very scary.

Hopefully we can get cells next to each other in guantanamo, I would hate to have nothing to talk about indefinitely.

3 out of 10 is generous. But they still buy the media hype and love our god like, commander in chief. They have no clue about the NewWorldOrder agenda happening as we blog. We have become a nation of sheep and market day for our fleece is almost here. BaaaaaaaaBaa!

Well said, what a good first post, star for you.

We just need to wake to 30 percent that are still asleep. Though a large portion of these are indeed those that are quite happy with the way things are going. So they dont want to be awake as acknowledging the state of things would require them to admit they are complicit, or may even be the very people causing it intentionallh.

Sorry it sounds like doom porn, but thats the way I see it.

Would that include law enforcement? I'm sure you feel the love, when you see those red and blue lights flashing in your rear view mirrors.

What point of interest can we examine today and not have it reveal that we are lied too, being subjected to more control and used for the purposes of a few elites that have their own agendas? What one? UFOs? wars? financial? Economic? Religion? Politics? Which area is honest and true, for the sake of the people and for nothing less noble?

That is the reason why the free internet is such a danger to those that control us in the areas cited above and in many others we never recognize. The people are awaking, and the resulting and eventual chaos will not be their fault but that of the systems and forces that attempts to keep them on their knees, ignorant, unthinking and loyal to the official spiel.

Out here in rural America I think its way less than 3:10 who trust the government, especially the Federal one.

I would bet they hit up samples from the major cities NY, Chicago, LA and let it go at that.

I honestly haven't talked with anyone in months who has any confidence/trust in the Federal Government.

I agree, though I also believe that the level of distrust is so high because of it, as we can actually find out the tduth these days, instead being reliant on msm for all the news.

Where just 30 years ago, the only way for people to get the real story is to know sombody on the inside, today it is plastered all over the net, they can no longer hide their crimes.

This is the reason for their fear, as they have no intention of stopping, they only have the one option.....tyranny.

I honestly only know a couple of people that still have any faith at all, and that is because they have bloated .gov paychecks and benefits, and retirement packages. So for them everything is great, they dont see what everyone is getting so upset about.
