Explanation: Yes you read that correctly and here is why ...

DailyFeed December 2007 [bunrab.com]

When the bill arrived I saw a charge of five bucks for toast:

Now that IS a Pimp Slap!

Personal Disclosure: I hope I have 'proved' this issue enough to show clearly that 'Toast',...

... being now 'Pimp!',...

... costs a lot of dough! :shk:

And I'm not sorry if you thought this thread was going to be half baked ok!

Because I thought it best to 'butter' you all up and 'spread' this info around before anyone gets into a 'jam' ok!

Dang that must have been some fancy toast. I wonder if it had poor taste in clothes.

Explanation: St*rred!

Yes IMO they do have poor taste as far as the clothing side of things goes :shk: ... It's a bit 'crusty'!

But that is ultimately down to what 'suits' you,... since that is the way the cookie crumbles!

Personal Disclosure: Pimp Toast ... is the best thing since sliced bread ok!

...and the overpriced toast is the only problem with this bill?

Doesn't the $10 for 1 egg, and $6 for 1 slice of bacon also seem to be a bit high?

That is the most expensive basic breakfast I have ever seen! You could go to my favorite diner and get toast for about a dollar! A loaf of bread is about $5 bucks!

Where was this at? Do you know?

Looks like it was somewhere around the San Fransisco Bay area.
'Bar Jules' I think is the name of the place.

lol. Well also, this was 5 years ago. It's probably 2 or 3 times higher by now.

I get 2 loaves for $5.

I also now see that I may have been slightly off with my previous post.

Still seems high, but
1 fried = "Two perfectly fried eggs next to porkilicious stewed meat with potatoes"
1 bacon = 1 serving(a few pieces) of bacon

[color=7AA7C9]The runny yolks and juices were too good to waste and I asked the server if I could have a piece of bread so I could sop them up. She appeared with two pieces of olive oil rubbed toast and I cleaned my plate completely.

Explanation: St*rred!

Yes, eggsactly, they were very highly priced ... but that is what comes along with the various 'trappings' of Pimp Toast!

Personal Disclosure: I am not hamming this up you know!

Explanation: St*rred!

The name of the restaurant is listed within the link I provided and I don't wish to embarrass them ok!

Personal Disclosure: BUT they did make ammends also ...

Even though I told the server to go ahead and charge us for it, they graciously took it off the bill and didn’t make me feel like an oaf for pointing it out.

Wow higher now?! I would never eat there lol

I can make my own breakfast thanks.

I still think $6 bucks for a side of bacon is nuts. Here it is no where near that high, it's about $ 2buck for a side of bacon.

I can get a 3 egg western omelette with added mushrooms, ham and cheese with rye bread toast and hash browns or home fries for less than $10 bucks with coffee. IF I add juice and milk it's about $14.

Twas a joint in San Francisco.
SF is pricy so I'd expect this from a high end joint, but somehow I do not believe this place to be a 5star.
Still a fun city to visit and see all of the people that even I can call ....weird.

Dang! For the price you paid for that breakfast I can cook breakfast all week- enough for several people! I pay only $1.29 for a whole loaf of bread and under $2.00 for 1 1/2 dozen eggs.

It was at this guy's computer where he made the receipt. $10.00 for an egg? Come on. And then he made the egg more expensive than the bacon. This is a food hoax.

In my world; I make my toast at home; I get the bread for free; and I make my own preserves; plus my friend owns a dairy farm and I get free butter. Five dollars for an order of toast is just not acceptable!...in my world that is...

Damn- Ozland really IS advanced.

Here in the U.S, we have to buy BREAD, go home, and put it in a toaster to get toast!
