I think most people were dazzled by it .. but me as someone who's always been interested in astrophysics thinks this is cool but not unusual .. the rare part of this is that it happened in an inhabited area.. but strikes liket his actually occur far more often than people realize.

To be honest, the most amazing thing about this event besides the fact it happened over a populated area.. was how many cameras were on to catch it .. HOW many people have dash cams these days???? =)

In Russia dam near everybody has a dashcam... Like seatbelts, it's very important for protection when driving.

So much for mass sightings around ufo's..imagine if folks had them for the Phoenix Lights...that would be impressive..

Dash cams are a way of life in Russia. The number one rule of the Russian roads is expect the unexpected.

Also, it was interesting to note the Meteor Detection live feed was down for about two days when we had the Russian Meteor, along with the Cuban, San Fran Bay, Spanish and other meteors at the same time. Usually it updates about once a minute. Coincidence???

Yes, probably.

Umm, that last one word question of mine was rhetorical, as this is a conspiracy website.

We do seem to be undergoing a huge increase in daytime fireballs with sonic booms, and IF the cause were to be know by the PTB, it wouldn't be a stretch that they would cover it up.

Can some "amazing" person please run some of the closer / clearer ones through a filter.

There was talk in an earlier forum of "something" hitting this this prior to impact.

Would be great to see this "supposed" strike if available?

Many thanks in advance

Not surprised at their being such a conspiracy =) but I doubt it .. it behaves as I would expect a meteor to behave.. hitting the atmosphere at such a high rate of speed causes immense friction which causes immense heat, it starts melting and breaking up very quickly in a ball of fire.. usually only tiny little fragments make it to the ground.. it's the airburst that causes the damage.

These kinds of events happen multiple times per year, just usually over un-populated areas like the ocean

Thats a myth, it's not friction that causes the heat it's the pressure wave. At the leading edge of the object air gets compressed (which causes heating).

Because they didn't immediately stop their car or swerve off the road killing themselves? Please give people more credit. We are humans not reactionary lower primates.

Great compilation.

AND EXCELLENT ACCOMPANYING MUSICAL COMPOSITION!!

I think the OP needs a sound system upgrade, those Walmart $3 desktop speakers are restricting your ability to experience a whole realm of epicness.

I'd love to see your second link, but alas i'm on three network and thatbsite is being censored/blocked with no explanation. But that's what you get if you allow a chinese company to run a phone network. And they won't even acknowledge the censorship.

Out of curiousity could you tell me which site it is as I'm compiling info on such censoring to bring here and to my local *spits* tory *spits again* MP *spits and vomits*

Great video...Great meteorite...

I've witnessed a number of meteorites during my lifetime...And coincidentally, the most recent was about 3 nights ago...

Now I'm not talking about those meteor showers we all see from time to time...I'm talking about meteors that appear to be about the size of a dime or a penny held at arms length as it travels across the sky, similar to the Russian meteor...

Most have appeared to be a beautiful aqua/emerald green but the most recent one was bright white...Characteristically, they all seemed to travel in a similar pattern as the Russian meteor but maybe a little higher and after dark...When they would travel to the horizon, you would swear they landed just over treeline or skyline...

Around 1960, a bunch of us witnessed one coming down and it actually landed about two miles from my home...May have been our vantage point but this one appeared to come straight down, not in an arc...I don't know if the local newspaper's archives go back that far but the thing landed right smack on top of a car which was parked right next to a house...The paper people were out the next morning and took pictures...That's how we knew what it was...

I have never heard a sonic boom with one of these...And, I have never witnessed an explosion...They claim that all those little specs up there that look like stars shooting across the sky are meteorites that are entering the atmosphere and burning up, which is what we see...

The one in Russia it was claimed, landed in a frozen lake apparently not far from where it was seen on the video...On the lake video, the hole is perfectly round which seems to me to be a little odd for something traveling in such an arc...There were also reports of a lot of structural property damage associated with this thing...

Because of that and the lake landing, I'm thinking this thing was relatively close to the ground, well inside the atmosphere...And even while watching numerous shooting stars thru-out the years, I've never seen one of those explode...

Curious thing this meteor and exciting to watch...

I thought the music was wonderfully beautiful and fit perfectly with the theme of the clips. Can't please everyone though I guess...

But thank you for posting this OP, I've not seen many of the clips in this compilation.
