Im sure most of you have seen the emails,

Youve won 1 Million GBP!!!!!
I am looking for a man who will love me forever
I need your help transferring my late fathers millions out of Africa
My brother is sick and needs money for an operation
We have authorised your $60 million loan etc etc etc

Up until yesterday I just deleted them or occasionally opened them and had a laugh but that was it.
I came across a forum that makes a sport out of messing with these people, Getting them to travel to meet you, getting them to take stupid photos or upload ridiculous videos, wasting their time making new fake documents and replying to you etc etc

The main aim of course is to close bank accounts associated with these scams or the holy grail of the sport, getting actual scammers arrested.

In Australia alone these dodgy con artists con people out of $10 Million a month

Hers a 15 min clip on 60 minutes that outlines a bit of what they do

Basically the more time they waste with you the less time they have to scam actual victims.
Im currently corresponding with 4 of them and having an absolute ball

Its amazing anyone falls for it but sadly they do, all over the world people are losing Billions every year, some of them are even killed when they fall for the scams and travel to meet them.

But clever people with an odd sense of humour and too much time on their hands are fighting back

Check out a few of these clips that are just the tip of the iceberg

Male love scammers

Female Love scammers

And lastly just your run of the mill Scammer

So what I wanna know is anyone here involved? got any stories to share?

And secondly if anyone would like to join me in a bit of fun with these guys?

Enjoy the vids and let me know what you think.

P.s Ill upload all correspondence I have with these dodgy buggers (Or lads as they are known in the baiting community) when they finally realise they arent getting any money out of my character.

P.p.s never correspond with them from an actual email address, always use 1 created for the purpose that is untraceable, also never let them know your onto them or that the baiting community exists. Im sure the good ones know but we dont wanna make it easy for any noobs, let em learn the hard way

P.p.p.s if you get any of the emails Im talking about let me know and Ill have some fun with em and keep you posted

funny a friend of mine is always bragging about all these hotties he meets online from all over the world and they love him and want to be with him , then they always ask for his money . he got conned a few times as he is very desperate .

I tell him he is a butt ugly guy and he has girls that look like super models hanging off him and never has money lives in a ghetto bachelor apartment ,

but he will defend them till they ask for his money. Makes me laugh a little at how gullible he is

419 eater right?

www.419eater.com...

been a member there for years and did this for a while it is quite sad though that it really does have no effect since the amount of stupid people far outweighs the people doing this to stop them.

tbh i blame the stupid people more then the scammers, because seriously some of them are just outrageously obvious.

edit: the mrs robinson one is one of my all time favs lol simply awesome.

Thanks for the thread. It is beyond satisfying to see such a wildly creative and effective response to this bull#. My grandmother got ripped off via this type of scam.

I am so happy that you and other people are engaging these low-lifes like this. It's a little dangerous, but it seems to me that the danger is mitigated by the fact that the contra-pranksters, you and the folks in the videos, are obviously a great deal smarter than the perpetrators. Very strong work.

And secondly if anyone would like to join me in a bit of fun with these guys?

Well, I know that Discordians can't take credit for this magnificent display of tom-foolery, but I know that the spirits of all the Discordian Popes that have passed beyond the veil are applauding this grand effort, and as a Discordian myself, I can't resist.

Where do I sign up?

Didnt want to mention any other sites just in case the thread gets closed because of it (Dont say anything but I think one of the mods on here is out to get me and didnt wanna give them an excuse to post ban me *before anyone says anything yes I am paranoid!! but then so are you!!! your a member on a conspiracy website so leave me alone*) But yes thats the site I was reffering to.

At the end of the day your probably right and this will make little difference but it doesnt mean we shouldnt try and while trying have a butt load of fun

Plus the more people involved and the more time of theirs we waste we may just save some old Granny from getting her life savings pinched.

Have you watched the 3rd vid I posted about Ed Smith? its a trilogy and its just freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!

Got any memorable moments to share from your baiting days?

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother but YAY for you joining the cause

First step is to check out the site linked by Rayuki and read up on the Ethics and safety tips and maybe check out how some of the masters there work then its basically just go for it. Im only 24 hrs into this whole gig myself so dont have much advice other than whats on that site. I guess just be as creative as possible.
In one of the baits Im working on Ive had a Scammer remake a "legal" document 5 times in 24 Hrs!!!!
1st time because my country doesnt recognise English law and he had to get documents for Laos
2nd time because Im a follower of Vishnu and refused to sign anything with the word God on it,
3rd time because he just erased god and didnt replace it with Vishnu,
4th time because he didnt include a pic of Vishnu on the doc
and finally the 5th time I wanted a different background colour, he didnt even argue and just put it on a purple background LMFAO, needless to say these guys arent terribly bright

We can keep in touch Via U2U and maybe if we get a few others involved we can work on a collaboration like the baiting of Ed Smith Video.

Do You know what sites he uses or where he finds these girls?
Could be good for him and a bit of fun for you to impersonate one LOL

I know it sounds mean but if you cause him a bit of embarrassment in the short term it may save him alot of heartache and financial issues down the track.

Just a thought

Thanks to you, i've just spent the last 45 minutes watching random scambaiting videos...

45 minutes well spent!
s&f

I watched all 3 parts of the Ed one and it was hilarious.

It's a damn shame certain people are getting scammed out of all their life savings though.

These guys are scum. I would have a go myself but it all seems too complicated and time consuming. I'll let you guys have the fun and i'll stick to watching the odd video now and then on the tube.

hmmm

bored easily; check!
loads of free time; check!
need something to do since giving up grog: check!
Hate these spammers with a passion; check!

Where has this idea been all my life, take my attention plox!!!!

haha.. Definitely gunna have a look at this in a more sane hour of the day, I have no idea how these buggers keep getting my personal email, but it shall be put to good use.

Also, just thinking about that 68 year old granny who went to Africa and they killed her in 2 days.. she sent them over $200,000 before this too, so yeah she's stupider than two bricks missing 1 brick, but still, she was obviously lonely.

so even if I get one scammer to suffer severe falaqa it'd be worth it.

I've done this on and off for a few years now. My usual style is to play dumb, string 'em along for a few days to a week or so till they give up out of sheer frustration.

I like claiming endless issues sending the money through western union, in the end I search their area on Google and find an address for the police station, prosecuting attorneys office, something like that. I tell the scammer he can pick up the cash at that address.

It's good clean fun lol

HAHA

You were 1 of 5 I knew would be up for it. I think ATS should have its own baiting team and maybe even a league, not only is it great fun but it is also arguably doing a great community service.

many on this site have the intellect, wit and I guess most importantly time LOL to make this work.

If anyone is interested in reading where Im at with my current baits let me know and Ill email it to you. I dont wanna post it on here just in case any of them get clever and decide to google search any part of the convo.

When each bait is complete I will be sure to post it in full with any pics, vid or audio I manage to get hold of.

Current highlight from the past hour is a guy who claims to be from the UK is saying he will come to Singapore to view the development we have going there, of course when he lands I will have him picked up by my driver and taken to the hotel one of my partners owns and fully reimburse him for his trip even if he doesnt agree to give me the multi million dollar loan I need to complete the project. Hes getting his secretary to see his schedule over the next week and if he can free up some time he will fly over.

God damn this is good fun

Have you ever tried a longer safari? (safari is a term used to describe making a scammer travel a huge distance to collect their money for those who may not know)

Ive given 1 guy about 7 excuses as to why I cant get to a western union office today, Im currently hassling him for his bank details, Dont think Ill get them but Im quite firm that if he needs the money to release the funds and he either supply a bank acc no or find someone else who is willing to help him

This is ridiculously addictive

I haven't made them travel yet, but I like it

I like the thought of trying to get them to send me money. An angle I thought of but haven't tried yet, agree excitedly to the subject of sending them money, but, you're broke. You have a car (or whatever really) that you could sell for some serious cash, which you will send to them. But, the car is broke, will take a couple hundred to fix.... You get the gist.

I have a few saved I could post, but they would probably blow the t& c's to shreds

I'll look for them tonight and pm a couple to you.

Also, if you need / want a partner for one sometime let me know.

Seen some scammers use fake Escrow accounts to get people to send them an item or use it to get their bank info (sometimes both) - maybe do that in return to the scammers. Create a fake escrow site - tell them that they can get their money from the escrow after they register...but I think that part might be illegal even to get back at a scammer.

Good luck

While getting them to spend and waste money is encouraged actual taking money from them is illegal, how ironic would it be to get arrested for scamming an internet scammer LOL.

Not sure about the fake site bit but there are other ways to get their details, the job application one or the "I cant find a Western union, whats your bank details"

Gotta keep it legal

Several years ago I knew someone who got scammed by one of these. Being a devote christian when the got the e-mail, he believed it was the work of God and God had decided to bless him.
I think he learned his lesson though.
