I wonder whats going on. I feel there doing something. maybe placing another roadblock in the equation other than just DNS and servers.

What ever is going on I feel positive its rouge branches of the US government. And Highly ILLEGAL.

We received a DDoS alert from our service provider. Our (unnamed) industrial-strength countermeasures kicked in and corrected the situation.

It's unclear if we're actually being DDoSed, or if there are other network issues making it seem that way. Our team is investigating.

... abovetopsecret.com has been timing out for me this past 20minutes. Never seen that before.

HTTP took too long to respond.

I've never seen this alert page before and thought it may have to do with some slightly controversial discussion I was posting a question about... maybe it was indeed a part of this attack?..?

What? I don't even understand what you were trying to say.

I'm aware of how TOR came to be if that's what your suggesting. However if there is a concentrated effort to shut down free thinking websites such as this or at least disrupt. Eventually we ALL move to TOR. So then they are confronted with dealing with it.

So what were you trying to say?

This could be an experiment or it could be a first assault on conspiracy websites. I just read a thread today about how the government is going to start going after conspiracy websites and this could be it.

Ugh...

You do know that this sort of thing has been going on since the Great Ping attacks of the early 90s, right? Hell, even I used to take people off IRC by sending false oob packets to people so their windows 95 machines would blow up. lmao. take that pedos.

It begins... you must be being satirical. Has to be.

One thing I've noticed still though, as soon as someone hits a page taking forever to load, you all instinctively hit reload 500 times.

That's the same as helping those who are ddos'ing. You're adding to the server load.

If it times out, give it a minute.. don't refresh insanely till it comes back up.

This past 5-10 minutes could not connect or load past home page...working fine now, obviously.

FYI: This last brief outage was planned as we did a rolling reboot of our servers to clear some network issues.

Wow...my conspiracy senses are really tingling now, is this not an attack...

I am actually having intermittent trouble reaching ATS. Oh, thanks SkepticOverlord.

Glad it seems to be ok ATM. I connect via iPhone mostly using safari and the last 10 mins I've been getting "server can't be found" message. Seems ats vanished into some web blackhole for a little while.

Eta: ok explained in above posts

We have plenty of Anons here... any talk of an op in any of the IRC channels??? I can't find any mention of one aimed at conspiracy sites.
