For many years the people in the Upper Peninsula have referred to those in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan as trolls. Those who live below the
Mackinaw bridge are trolls. The people in the Lower peninsula preferred to us as Yoopers.....or maybe "a little different".....if they were nice.
I'm sure some referred to us as a pain in the ***.
I think because this practice of calling those who live below the bridge trolls far predates the invention of the internet, that the people on the net
using the word Trolls, as referring to people, should not be allowed to unless they are referring to people of Lower Michigan. We don't want to
associate the trolls of Michigan with this group.
This should be classified as protecting intellectual property....... or in the case of Yoopers, not so intellectual property
....and keep this
from causing even more confusion in the world.
