Not really. A good indicator is the slow, steady drift with the direction of wind.

When you see a real one, you will know the difference. They have this way of removing all doubt. I like that you are interested enough and carry pocket binocs... if you are outside a lot and keep looking up in the sky maybe, just maybe, you will see one during your whole life.

Thats a neat trick. So that from any angle a ship can appear to a person to be a jet or balloon? Why bother?

They could just cloak. How do I know they cloak? The same way you think they have a catalog of earth objects to disguise as.

I saw a jet that was really a UFO... how do you know? I mean really? Did it "flip" while you looked at it? I have never heard of such a report.
