Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan... what we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.

Robin Williams' plan...
I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here's one plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their
affairs, past & present. We will promise never to "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with
Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We
would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the
fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and
leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be
gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are.
France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 day
visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would
be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide
here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more
cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they
don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home, baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self sufficient energywise. This will include developing non polluting sources of energybut will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will
have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, forseeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets
"lost" or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little, anyway.

9a ) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, it would make agood homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

9b) Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan.

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You wanta piece of me?'" - Robin Williams

I'm not surprised that you find his point of view offensive, C.A. as his position refuses to make the U.S. the Great Evil, but does put some responsibility on other nations' shoulders. I suppose we are to tirelessly work to solve other people's problems, allow their nations to drain us and use us, and then, whenever they have a problem they don't want to face, they can blame us for being mean ol' villians and throw rocks at us.
I'm beginning to see how intelligent he is and how sick others are.

I'd like to see where he said this. The only thing from the whole thing I bet he said was the last quote... I watched he say it so I know that one is right. The rest, I bet, is not from him.

I like it!

T.C. seems to have hit the nail on the head!

So C.A., please explain why you don't agree.
All you ever do is complain about how EVIL America is, so why does the idea of us keeping to ourselves bother you so...?

The only part I don't agree with is the drilling in Alaska but all good plans need a flaw I guess

I don't like Robin Williams funny point of view on immigrants. Most come here to make a life out of the country that wouldn't offer them one. Immigrants are the people who make the United States what it is today. If anything we need more Immigrants to show native born Americans that If they want a life, they better be willing to compete for it.

Cold Anger's response shows that it doesn't matter what the U.S. does. For some it won't matter, America is the devil and should be exterminated.

With the technology of hydrogen improving every day, it just might be possible to enact such a plan.

This text is a fake in my opinion it's too incoherent .. perhaps the first points are from him... or Robin Williams is really funny in the head...

Ahhhh, you are finally seeing it from my perspective. Now u see what I have been seeing for a very long time.

Robin Williams has the right idea: isolationism and self sufficency. An America closed off, removed from ,and independant of the world. No more US meddling in other affairs. No more American soldiers blood fertilizing the soil of foreign nations who are better off left to thier own devices. Close the borders off, close everything off. Dvelop like mad our own independant energy source. recycle metals and other recylable resources. Rebuold our own indurstial base to produce all the products we need.

After all the world hates America. Logically, then if we are dealing with a logical world, would say good, stay in your own country, keep your filthy blood money and soldiers at home. Yet I never stop being awed by the response when i suggest the US pull out of the world and its affairs, and withdraw and close down. they scream no u cant do that, omg. Why Not? If everything we touch turns to #, then wouldnt it be a better world if we simply went back home and took all our imperialist garbage with us?

NO, NO NO. They dont simply want the US do go disappear, they want to exterminate us, kill the great devil, and all that bull#. No, we could stop getting involved with other countries, we could pull out of the middle east entirely, and yet still they would complain we must be destroyed. This is the very reason I laugh at anti Americansm from most people: they have no real rational reason, nor solution to the american problem. America is bad! they kill people. What are we the firsst? Do we have a monoploy? I say, well, then we should remove american influence then, bring it all back home, close the door, and let you all exist in for happy peaceful delightful Americaless world. They dont want that tho. The impression that I get is they want an America that follows thier dictates and uses military force when THEY want us to....they want what Israel has: a big yankee lapdog to do its bidding. Of course, then again, theres people who want the country simply wiped off the planet....and they call us violent war mongers....... lol

If anything we need more Immigrants to show native born Americans that If they want a life, they better be willing to compete for it.

Not a lower standard of life. An American cannot compete with say a mexican or Somolian who will drive a truck for 6 bucks an hour under the table no benefits. the cost of living in America, well, to raise a family in something higher than a shack, prevents it.

Well, I think the point on immigration above is valid. After all somewhere around 99.99% of our population is made up of immigrants. BUT........................................
Today is VERY different from the America that existed 100 years ago (when my father's side of the family arrived). Back then there were no terrorists lusting for American blood. People actually came here for a better life for themselves and thier families. Now it seems that people only come here for a free ticket to ride (or kill as many Americans as possible for Allah or some other "god").
Well, maybe it's time to close the valve *a little* and allow in those who want to better themselves while bettering the country at the same time. I see nothing wrong with SELECTIVE immigration. God knows Britain could use it right now
.
Point is, we have held the gates wide open for a couple centuries and we are being kicked by the rest of the world for actually giving a crap about everyone else. I, and many other Americans, are getting a little sick and tired of hearing the bitching from the rest of the world about how we do things. If we suck so much why do you keep coming?????

Yea ...

Close the god damned border's. Pull our troop's back home where they can actually serve their country better by protecting it's border's. Pull all foriegn aid fund's and start helping the american people. Deport illegal alien's that are trying to screw a fast one over the citizen's of america. Learn to take care of our own before we even bother to attemp taking care of some lazy ass third world country. When we first created this great nation, we weren't any better than a third world nation, so I don't wanna hear no BS about third worlder's can't take care of themselve's. Complete BS. They're living off my #ing money that my government decided to give a portion of to them. BS. What are most of our tax's for anyway's? Paying off this or that country. Delivering food here or there. BS like that. Prolly 1% of our tax's go to care of the american people. We don't need them and they don't need us.

Skadi, the "american question" as you put it, doesnt seem so complicated to me : abiding by international laws and treaties, which would of course mean restructuring the domestic economic and political life, but it would already be an enormous step forward.

An enormous step forward......in whose perspective? By whose standards? Restructuring our internal structure to satisfy what someone else thinks would be accpetable? I think not................

We have no desire to do so, international law and world govornment are pretty much the obvious goals of technocratic NWO type crap. So.......since we have little desire to turn our country into the untopian ideal everyone else is fooled by, a better idea would be to pull out comeletely and let the world have thier "ideal" and leave us to ours. We stay home, no more laws for us to violate, no more countries to whine about. No more sacrificing the security and future and dream of america for other interests. We stay home, u have your world full of people who want your freak global international laws, and stuff.

Everyones happy. No more problems

Skadi, take alone the carbon emissions. If the USA wants to better itself, it would have to switch to a new type of industry. Automobilies would also have to be built completely differently. That's the kind of economic change i'm talking about. As to political change. Since US in isolation couldnt export it's inflation to foreign countries anymore, the whole financial system will have to change in the US.

Ah but see, no one wants America to simply mind her own business. They all have visions of vast enormous wealth that must be exploited. We are to be the bitches of the world. The pawns of the UN to do their dirty work and then it's "back under the porch" with us all. If you research the Council on Foreign Relations, you will see that this idea is actually seeded right here in America..to make the entire world a socialist nation and Americans the slaves that drive it's economic engine.

The thing most don't realize is that Americans haven't tapped into any great physical void of power. There aren't pots of gold buried in everyone's back yard. The wealth in America comes from free enterprise and the ability to prosper from one's own work. Take that away, and there is no huge stores of wealth. Take what resources America has and divide them with the world, and then take America out of the picture and the wealth would be burned in a couple days. Its the idea behind America that is valuable but its the same idea that threatens every dictator in the world. What I'm saying is, they want American wealth but are not willing to release the power to their people to get it. Its a catch 22. best they can hope for is to contain us and harvest the spoils of our labor.

I think its hilarious and not only the initial post but also the responses of those who comments are anti-American for the most part.

AS far as fuel, we could convert to such a product derived from corn. No real need to spoil the Alaskan
Wilderness in respect to our industry. We could
convert everything over to south and Central
American interests.

Theoretically the conversion could be accomplished in about 5 years and the resultant effect would be and improvement in the Job market.

The Western Hemisphere as a result would become more or less one nation eventually.

In theory this has been taken seriously (to the best of my knowledge). The problem is the extent to which taking such an action would destabilize the Easter Hemisphere.

Experts consider that as a reuslt of the USA taking such a position, we would eventually have to deal with the fact that the effects upon the atmosphere of an eastern hemispheric nuclear war which would alter our own environment.

To be certain if a way to split the planet in half were feasible we would do it (trust me).

MS I am certain the US would consider such a position just as soon as American scientist can provide documentation that Hell has frozen over. And have published the aforementioned documentation in a legitimate scientific periodical.
