Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been heavily criticised by the US, Israel and the UN for branding Zionism a "crime against humanity". He told a UN forum this week: "As with Zionism, anti-Semitism and fascism, it is inevitable that Islamophobia be considered a crime against humanity." Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu called the comments "dark and mendacious".

I'm somewhat surprised Erdogan said this. Its no secret the Turks hate the Israeli's but I never thought that he would say its a "crime against humanity".

And the massacres in the Ottoman Empire were not Erdogan? Also how they continue to treat Kurdish groups in Turkey one can draw similarities between this and how Israel treats the Palestinians.

“I strongly condemn the comparison that the Turkish prime minister drew between Zionism and fascism,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying by Haaretz, adding that he “thought that such dark and libelous comments were a thing of the past.” Netanyahu was responding to a speech by Erdogan at the opening of the fifth United Nations Alliance of Civilizations in Vienna on Wednesday, where in passing the Turkish leader compared modern Zionism to fascism, in the way it treats Muslims.

I do however, agree with Erdogan, after all Zionism is Racism.

And if Palestine were to become a state, do you think it would be racist too?

I think Palestine existed before Israel. Zionism is agreed to be anti-Semitism but I disagree.

That's a HUUGE IF. Palestine will never be a state in my lifetime mate. This is a reasonable assumption imo

Say it did exist though (Palestine) racism would be present of course. Racism is not indigenous to this part of the world, its a global problem. Sad but true

A two state solution? Even more unlikely

When looking at how the events of 9/11 have been misrepresented in the media and politics, the Zionist agenda is a strong suspect as to what really happened. Considering the international repercussions of this event, 'a crime against humanity' does become quite fitting.

No, it wouldn't be.
Where's your logic ? I just don't get it.

And yes, Zionism is Racism.

United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3379, adopted on November 10, 1975 by a vote of 72 to 35 (with 32 abstentions), "determine[d] that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination"; resolution 3379 was revoked in 1991 by UN General Assembly Resolution 4686.

Perhaps, but the now accepted point of view is that anti-Zionist is anti-Semitic just as anti-fascist you wouldn't go outside saying it too loudly because you may be considered as a Jew hater by some maybe, in some cases be arrested? Its happened in Australia before.

United Nations General Assembly Resolution 46/86 adopted on December 16, 1991, revoked Resolution 3379, which had called Zionism a form of racism. The revocation passed by a vote of 111 to 25, with 13 abstentions.

Look Palestine was there before Israel this is fact. Christians and Muslims have been in this area for centuries and you don't think there was racism? Of course there was. It was probably safer without Israel in control of the area though, Palestinians are being wiped out, this is racism and genocide, never mind what the Terminology is.

I would agree yes. The US would've persuaded those countries to have voted in favor of the resolution. Who knows perhaps occasional bribes and questionable back dealings are done without our knowledge to convince countries who are in the vote. Depending on the National Interest of Israel demands
