Any ideas of what this object could be?

From the MUFON CMS system: direct link to the original photo and direct link to the description of the sighting.

I did not notice the object until I had downloaded my pictures on to my Pc then realised that there was this object farther off then the wood pile in front of me the sky was burn orange and the object is bell shaped on top with a rim and then a lower section that tapered .Looks like some photos i have seen before on Ufo programs Not a bug as it is beyond the closest objects in my shot.

I checked for the EXIF data with EXIFTool and they seems legit.

My first guess is that it is probably a relatively small object as it appears as blurry as the foreground objects ("wood pile") and as the camera focused on the background objects (trees, pole...)

Thoughts?

Right.
Because any explanation besides alien invaders (such as Chinese lanterns) should be thoroughly mocked. Or like when people say it's a bug close to the camera (like DaTroof said), they will eventually be mocked.

This is the main reason that I don't often visit the UFO threads - it's perfectly fine (and even encouraged) to mock people who provide logical but mundane explanations of "UFO" pictures and videos, but mock the alien visitation religion and get your post deleted.

Some microlytes can take on that appearance at a distance and coming toward you, and the wings can look more rounded rather than the triangular shape that they really are.
On second thoughts scratch that, it is out of focus, could be a small bat though with wings at bottom flap and coming toward you.

It does, but is it consistent with the rest of the information we have?

If this photo was taken on January 15, at 05:27:24, it should be night, unless it was taken on the southern hemisphere, right?

I agree.

That's right, unfortunately, we both know how many people do not even know either how to correctly set the camera date/hour or aren't even aware of the date registration in the EXIF data.

Like you say, it appears to be fairly close to the camera. I am thinking it might be one of these guys

It sure looks remarkably regular for an insect in flight, doesn't it? Could be part of a tree falling off, I see some trees in the background that are rather tall. But then, it doesn't resemble any acorn or seed pod I know.

Overall the shape reminds me of the Crete UFO (the one with the goats in the picture). That sighting has a detailed analysis which could be applied in part to this sighting, since the UFO's silhouette is extremely similar to this one. The analysis concluded that the object in the Crete sighting was genuinely unidentified.

The visual similarity is in the bell shape, with the bulge on the bottom. The major difference is that the Crete sighting was of a reflective object in daylight, and this object is silhouetted in darkness. However both objects display remarkable radial symmetry and are angled towards the horizon, which is unusual.

Another similarity in the sightings is that both this and the Crete sighting were not spotted until reviewing photos later.

Here's the thread in question:

I think it is a bird flying towards or away from the camera. We are seeing the silhouette. The bird is in this stage of its flapping motion.

Well, we're sorry. That is a pic of an alien ufo from another galaxy - no, wait - from another dimension. It's just like the millions and millions of valid and substantiated ufo pics online. mmmkay?
