Chinese Hackers Seen as Increasingly Professional

Beijing hotly denies accusations of official involvement in massive cyberattacks against foreign targets, insinuating such activity is the work of rogues. But at least one element cited by Internet experts points to professional cyberspies: China's hackers take the weekend off.

Oh really, I wonder who has been doing this?

I think it is serious when the Chinese government hacks into American companies and government.. Of course nothing is going to be done about it... When you give into a communist dictatorship like China by giving them secrets on purpose which this administration might have been doing or allowing. Obama himself bows down to the Chinese Ho Chie Man dictator, it makes you wonder what else he sold other then his soul..

Now if the Chinese Government did this themselves then this is an act of war...

Then they need to be held accountable for doing it..

Either way if Obama does nothing he is complicit in these hacking attacks either by not doing anything about it or actually is allowing it, you be the judge..

Washington confirms Chinese hack attack on White House computer

Read more: www.foxnews.com...

It has been confirmed by the white house.. They need to levy a good tax on them, tell them to screw off!!

Obama is not mentioned in the article... This should be in the "Highly Speculative" forum.

I see China trying to get as much info as they can before they crash our systems and economy. They know the dollar is dead.

In that case, there is NO indication whatsoever in your source that implicates Obama (or even mentions him) in ANY way. This is pure speculation. Yes, "highly speculative", since you seem to have made up a story and posted a completely irrelevant article.

It's just confusing.

Good catch! A side note for perspective here.... The New York Times and the Chinese Communist Party have been having ...issues..in the recent year or so about the Chinese Prime Minister engaging in personal corruption to the tune of billions of dollars. China is similar to Texas in that way I guess...they never do anything small. Anyway, I've been reading headlines since the summer, relating to the tit for tat back and forth between Chinese Government sources and the New York Times little crusade to uncover staggering levels of corruption.

(Considering the Chinese system executes people for gross corruption? I can see their defensive position well enough too...expensive choices over there)

Whether the People's Republic of China officially sanctioned THIS round or whether they just unofficially encouraged it by the lack of any enforcement to hacking foreign targets...does it matter? The "Great Firewall of China" means they HAVE the level of control there to make those two things overlap to such a degree that the distinction loses a great deal of meaning, IMO.

The US. Gov. Needs to grow a pair and do something about this..

Whether wage a hacking war on them too SEE how they like it..

Something sitting by idle is just not allowed..

So complicit either way

This is nothing new.
Governments spying on each other is the "ordre du jour".

And this puts me in mind of how Israel was caught spying on American government officials through the Israeli phone company.

rense.com...

And we do the same things back to other countries. Hell we have manipulated governments all over the world.

This is just a tit for tat situation.

And quite frankly the ecological damage we are causing China by them producing cheap goods for us is far more damaging than some hacking.

Well, lets think about this.

When you go into a federal office building, what brand of computers do they have? I'd wager a guess that they are Dell computers. Dell has huge government contracts.

Where are Dell computers made? China.

How hard would it be to hard-code a backdoor on a chip? It could be disguised as some kind of legitimate part of the computer, but it's backdoor obscured.

In Star Trek they would "piggyback" hidden signals encoded into regular traffic. The same thing could happen here.

We don't even manufacture our own circuit boards for the computers than run our most sensitive military assets.

It makes you think when this is continued to allow to happen.. People might not understand how serious staying by idle would be.

Obama this, Obama that. It gets SO tiring.

Back in the 90's I was doing alot of client work in DC. On one triop down I happened to sit with a gentleman from the FBI. I still have his business card. His specialty was corporate espionage and he told me quiate a bit about what was going on behind the scenes as far as foreign countries stealing business secrets and intellectual poperty from U.S. businesses. The two biggest culprits back then? China and France. So this is not new. It's been a long-ranging problem.

Is this how crazy news gets traction?
Soon it'll be fact that Obama is also a Hacker for the Chinese.
So to recap.

Obama is a
Kenyan,
fascist,
socialist,
Muslim,
Black Panther .

Hell bent on killing white Christians with their own confiscated guns.

A master plan of destroying the USA in 8 years, but cunningly seems to wait
for his secret cabal. Because 5 years into his reign, nothing has happened.
Oh but it will.. You just wait.

Might I suggest this thread be placed in the
Every President bows if customary forum?
Or maybe the "it's not as bad as kissing an Oil Sultan on the mouth forum."

That is incorrect.

My stance is that it happens.
And that we do the same back to other countries.

Does anyone deserve it? No.

However from the way the OP is being put. It's like China is this big horrible country hacking us. Poor USA. Woe is us. Look at the horrible Chinese and how our President is actively aiding them in these hack attacks.

And my response is that China isn't the only country actively doing sneaky things. And if China is an evil bad guy for hacking us. Then what about Israel? They actively hacked us as well. Shouldn't we be complaining about them as well?

And what about all the hacking we've done to Iran? That stuxnet virus for example.
What does that say about us?

I certainly would worry if I was a fighter pilot and had to engage China.

Have you ever watched the new Battlestar Galactica? With one computerized backdoor command, the enemy completley shut down all the good guy's defenses.

I'd hate to be at altitude in my fighter and suddlenly everything in my cockpit turns off.

I mean, it may be assembled in the USA, but where are all the chips, circuit boards and microprocessors being manufactured?

China.

And yes, I know we have super smart people look over everything we get from China...but still.

I too have been watching this unfold , and pondered just who is be hind it , China ?? I have my own thought there, and maybe will tell it or not , but for now here is a Frontline link telling the untold story: just how secure are we, is China behind it. www.pbs.org... that leads me to some questions ,
Who or What Country /Nation would gain from, linking the Hack attacks to China?
Could it be from with in the US?
Could it be all scare TACTICS?

All this trading with China began with Bush Sr

Its all a show like 99% of it.

Grab yourself a bag of popcorn and enjoy...they only win when they get a reaction out of ya.

Yawning a lot is your best defense.....really makes them madder than hell.

I have said not one thing about nuking China...

A strong sanction of tariffs against their goods will serve them right..
