Yes..because unlike the right, the left are totally pro business/capitalism.

You hippy socialists republicans don't understand why we need wall street.

-earth goes backwards, day is night, cats and dogs living together-

No, I'm just debunking your stereotype. I did see some Suits in that pic anyways. My Dad was CEO of his business and he could never be bothered with a suit. Nothing but corduroy pants and no-iron shirts for him.
For that matter, how come Obama and Pelosi supported the Occupy movement while having the highest Goldman-sachs count in his admin?
Further debunking of stereotypes should be that it has been the big bankers and industrialists who financially supported both Hitler and the Bolsheviks.
So maybe that's why the Suits don't show up to pro Second Amendment rallies. They definitely show up at Bilderberg meetings though.

Like all "grassroots conservative movements", there is a high percentage chance they will in fact be loaded up in a corporate sponsored bus and shipped from town to town...you know...grassroots.

Follow the money

RIght, it's nothing that ACORN and MoveOn.org amd America Votes would do....

Maybe ACORN prefers the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test van used by Ken Kesey

So you think one person being clever out of 100 million invalidates my statement?

THAT has to be one of the more ignorant statements I've seen on this site.

Clever? Do you know the difference between being "clever" and having genuinely high IQ? A street thief can be clever.
I've completely debunked your stupid mass stereotype. It is really tiring to see people such as yourself constantly drumming up images of "Deliverance" to describe gun owners and Republicans in general.

I would actually say the fact you cite 1 example out of 100 million and call that a "complete debunking" kinda reinforces my point

You do of course mean other than Switzerland where it's a LAW that people own guns in many places, and has one of the lowest violent crime rates ON THE PLANET right?
\
Funny how y'all never mention switzerland..... probably because it invalidates your arguments completely.

You are only required to keep guns if you are in the army and only under special circumstances are you allowed to keep ammunition for the guns. Gun control in Switzerland is stricter than in the majority of states in the US.

Absolutely great post.

How anybody can look at those pictures and see anything that makes them proud or happy Is just beyond me and any right-thinking, normal people.
It just looks like a bunch of sad, out-dated, selfish people with guns strapped to themselves who would rather everyone had guns and people got shot on a regular basis and mass shootings and tragedies occured, than do the right thing and join the rest of the civilised world.

Those pictures sadden me, I expect that in some lawless wartorn country, I expect to see that in the kind of places that they stone people and so on... Not America.

Those people are just clueless.

People who feel pride looking at those pictures have some real issues.

Absolutely Great Post!!

How anybody can look at these pictures and see inanimate tools that terrify them or make them piss their pants is just beyond me and any right-thinking, normal people.

It looks like a bunch of independent, down-to-earth, wise people with guns strapped to themselves being prepared for a situation that requires the tool needed, if such a situation arises, with the peace of mind of being prepared on a regular basis for the cold realities of life, and doing the right thing by spreading awareness that a tool should not cause people to cower in fear in a civilized society.

Pardon my sarcasm but your post seems to ooze contempt for these folk. The way you rationalize everyone there and everyone like them as not being rational nor normal. It is sentimental nonsense such as this that creates an atmosphere of unjustified horror at the presence of a tool.

These people are just like everyone else in the USA. One area where they differ from others is the fact that they know the laws of their state and their capitol. Another way they differ is in their resolve, refusing to be intimidated by the empty suits of the lawmakers that are the very servants of the people in that photograph. If only 90% + of the population had the knowledge, resolve, and fortitude of these folk the government would be tame and controlled; knowing its rightful place as servants and representatives of the people.

Those responsible gun owners have to carry the weight of inner city gangstas on their shoulders. They outnumber you!
They're the ones people worry about, not Mr. Ms Smith.

I couldn't agree more. I could go into a long spiel about the topic but I won't. I'll just say that the whole situation is complicated to say the least. So many folk each with a different view on what is the right way. I wish I had the solution. I don't.

Its fine for people to have different views it's when they try to force them on others that is the problem. Trying to force people who have not harmed anyone to not have guns for protection in case someone including rogue government tries to harm them or violate their rights is a violation of rights in and of itself.

No Harm no crime is the basis of all true law. Its no one elses business what others do if they are not harming anyone or violating rights.

Just look very clearly at what is exactly going on. Criminals and nut cases whacked out and raging on pharma dope that actually owns anything and everything it wants to own, go get guns and kill people.

Right behind that here comes the pro gun control crowd squawk'n talk'in their bit all sanctimonious. Ripping and stomping on the rights of peaceful law abiding Americans. All this BS about only needing a shot gun, but is really just more of the obvious slow erosion process Americans have always seen.

Not one criminal not one nut case is disarmed. You'd sacrifice the right of the law abiding adult american citizen, to own the fire arm of their choice. You want to tell him how to defend himself ? I don't care what weapon it is and I don't give a crap if it comes straight out of a video game to give the owner endless life and endless ammo. If a man can be made to carry it into battle. He has a right to own it for self and home defense. No 1 reason ? As history itself teaches us in the third grade that all governments sooner or later turn very nasty inwardly. This is the foundation that our great nation, America, was built upon.

So I'm willing to accept the unfortunate and untimely deaths that come along with my right to own any firearm or any automobile and so on and etc..

The gun-carrying people are obviously there to prove a point. Common sense tells us that they are not going to the meeting for a shootout. I bet that the most anxious people there are the people un-educated with firearms, and the leaders of the meeting. If these people were up on their statistics than they should be more afraid in the parking lot where you are surrounded by 2 ton killers:

254,000,000 Cars on the road in the U.S.
32,367 Auto Deaths (a new record low)

FBI estimates 200 million guns in the United States (likely much more)
12,174 firearm fatalities (not including suicides)

Statistically passenger vehicles are far more deadly than the machines 'designed to kill.'

We do not have a gun problem in the United States. What we have are pockets of gun violence where the gun controls we have are not enforced and a broken mental health system.

Addresing the pic on an earlier page, if the Arabic men in the pic were legal American citizens and uphold all of the Constitution as it is, then there would be no reason why they couldn't be at the meeting with their gun. The apprehension is that generally speaking, we have very different core beliefs, usually starting with the 1st Amendment.

The real fear for many gun-owners is that they will lose the right to defend the Constitution from the government. What chance do we have if the world's most powerful organization can no longer be controlled? You really trust and believe that their goal is to make a good (or better) life for you?

Just can't have an intelligent debate with people who refuse to accept the parameters of reality.

Can any of you stop telling me what I think. I am PRO-REGULATION... not "anti gun". Simple point, get it through your skulls.

And on the point of putting words in my mouth... who the hell brought up Marie Antoinette ??

Until you "pro-murder" people agree to talk with reason rather than emotion, I'm stepping out.

(like the old saying goes: "Don't argue with idiots, because they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience")

The NRA makes boat loads of cash. Maybe they (the NRA) should better promote the idea of cash for guns in troubled inner cities...

What do you think of that idea?

Sounds like nothing more than Obama's cash for junk cars program. And I like it ! Who TF wouldn't ? Now, apply your brain to the fact, that you came up with that one and you're not getting paid for it ? Which means you, couldn't possibly spend the amount of time thinking about this, as someone who is supposed to be brighter than all of us and have more time, plus high dollar pay ? Yet as you even have far less motivation, you came up with something that is in my opinion acceptable and even better. Couple with what Beezer has in his sig ? ( Pass a law that brings the death penalty for any crime using a gun ). That's all the gun control we would ever need.

You can also see the reason they don't want us thinking for ourselves staring right at you, in what I said

And Shaaaaaaaaazam ! You can also see perfectly the pro second amendment peeps are right ! The parasitic leeching dung maggots in Washington and the owners of America don't care about the best idea. They care about their ideas and even more than that ? Their more than obvious agenda.

BS disclaim.
Protesters took the streets today demanding more control on trucks, after yesterday's semi tractor trailer rig crash that demolished 29 cars and killed 56 people on the fogged in, parking lot packed I -10 freeway.

Kills all the same kind of people ! But you will never see that protest.

More innocent people will come to die without guns than with them in the long run. Most people who are victims of guns are not 'innocent' like you think. I can't seem to find a statistic on random innocent firearm deaths, but I would conservatively guess less than 10% of gun fatalities are random including the mass shooting situations. You do realize that there roughly the same number of guns as there are cars in this country? Yet we have FAR more innocent victims of autos than guns.

The real cowards are the people who are scared to death of a gun, or the people who want to take them away to ensure their power can't be challenged. The politicians here make decisions that effect the whole world. I'm not sure what country you live in, but I know your politicans don't carry the golobal influence as one can from the United States. Take away the 2nd amendment and you might start to see a spike in election fraud cases. Politicians amend term limits, etc and with the politicians position of financial control of the US military, the whole world could be theirs.... You should hope that the 2nd amendment holds strong as it affects even your own safety indirectly...

Pretty far off scenario, but it is not impossible. Who can know what kind of economic problems we might have in the next generation or two that could destabalize everything. If the governmnet were to collapse then it is up to the people to defend their family and the Constitution until a new government is set up.
