Everyone has a different belief structure.

If you choose to pray to a god be prepared to stand in a cue, and wait (i think that's a general acceptance when others 'prayers are answered)
If you know your soul be prepared for a revelation that will genuinely blow your mind and realize your soul.

Secular laws, though often themselves highly repressive are actually less repressive than the old, religion-inspired laws... Laws which progress removed.

I'm opposed to state tyranny as much as the next libertarian but would choose state-tyranny over religious tyranny any-day, having studied history from many ANGLES.. Progression beats regression (especially to a rose-tinted time that NEVER existed).

What I'm saying is that God is coming to claim this earth in the manner in which he intended. That means that many and most are going to die in the process. This time it's his way or the highway. Your responsibility, if you are cyphering correctly, would be to accept his chosen son Jesus of Nazareth and be forgiven so that you do not parrish in the coming onslaught. The kingdom of God is coming and everyone who isn't in sink with that is going to be cast into the place of darkness.

THE PRAYER THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.
The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea. Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.
With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and whole-heartedly become our desire so that we again can be called: "one nation under God."

That might make a hateful person such as yourself feel smug, but absolutely nothing that you've written there is the teaching of the Catholic Church and it all would be viewed as repugnant by most Catholics (including myself.)

Hate and lies are not the most effective ways to get one's point across.

I look suspiciously on those politicians who walked out of the room. I think it is ridiculous, even if they are not religious. Politicians are supposed to be able to listen to all viewpoints, and listen to things they disagree with. That is part of their job description. If they are too childish to listen to this, they shouldn't be politicians. And secondly, I would trust a religious much faster than I would a non-religious person. Of course there are always exceptions, but as a rule I think this is a good assessment. Of course I understand that there are many counter-examples, but I do not want to argue over that point, as it is not that important to this discussion.

Everything that the man said is true. I have found myself disagreeing with a couple of items, but overall he made a great point. Not just about bad politicians, but about bad people in general. People with the wrong viewpoints. People who put profit over others, etc. And I like the fact that the man got many more congrats than complaints. To those who did complain, YOU are part of the problem. YOU are the ones who complain and whine and scream and are the minority. Why does the minority always seem to come out on top in so many things? Because they scream and yell and complain the loudest and the most often.

When a society exalts pleasures of the flesh, the innocent and oppressed are the victims. As society slips into hedonism and the highest thought is satisfying the flesh, it disintegrates. Why? As sex is exalted, the fruit of such unions are destroyed as inconvenient. When sex is viewed as the means to procreation, the life that is created is exalted. Who has come along and flipped this in society? When riches and greed become the determining factor of success, the poor and destitute are looked on as lazy and unworthy. When looks and beauty are exalted, the infirm, the disabled and the elderly are pushed to the sidelines. When our highest priorities become all about us - basically exalting man as divine in our minds - that society adopts the attitude of "to hell with my neighbour, I love myself". A civilisation that is brought to this way of thinking is frankly, entirely in opposition to their Creator and His declared words. The oppressed and the victims are no longer cared for, but actively persecuted. Babies, the most innocent of all, are murdered by a population who actually convince themselves that it isn't murder. Euthanasia gets on the table under the guise of "compassion", but it's only for those who are the most vulnerable in society. Porn is consumed by those who think nothing of the children and women caught up in the degradation and criminality of it. If you haven't noticed throughout this, it's not the rich, the greedy, the beautiful, the worldly intellectual nor the hedonistic youth who become oppressed and the victims - its all the rest of us. Using institutionalised pedophilia in the Catholic Church as justification for the rejection of your Creator, yet overlooking the institutionalised pedophilia within Buddhism, whilst embracing their lies of reincarnation, is hypocrisy. I think that it is the hypocrisy demonstrated within this prayer that most are positively responding to and for that I am thankful today. I agree with just about everything you've said here.

The last part was directed at someone specific I'm sure, but I'm throwing this out there anyways:

When corruption (such as institutionalized pedophilia, among other things) occurs in an organization, it is not the rejection of our creator that is taking place in my heart - it is the rejection of that corrupt organization for not coming clean about it and allowing it to continue!

It should not be construed as a renouncement of faith or anything like that. It simply means that it is intolerable and we must part ways. If that means I end up going it alone, book in hand, so be it.
