I guess we all need to make homemade EMP generators then...

Please explain "them". Conspiracy theorists who are often very wrong always come out with this "them" reference. Who is them? There is no "them" you can clearly define in an argument. Go ahead and try.

Challenge accepted.

How about Them, or Them, or Them, or Them?

What of Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them?

Surely you've heard of Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or all of These?

Perhaps you know of Them, or Them, or Them, or Them, or Them?

And let's not forget about Them, and Them, and Them, and Them, and Them.

Every entity, family, and corporation I just listed is an enemy of freedom, they all put money ahead of people, and that makes them "Them." They, combined, all put together, and many more are Them. Some of Them, we've never heard of. Some I have heard of, but they don't even have a Wikipedia page, they're so secretive. How long was it between Them starting the Tuskeegee syphillis "experiments" and us finding out about it? How long did the MJ-12 commission exist before we caught wind of it? How long did they experiment on pregnant women and children with radiation before we heard of it?

"There is no them" is the kind of attitude that's damning US. Know your enemy.

Hay lets throw the bible into this discussion too! In Revelations one of the seals unleashed a swarm of locust that killed people. Mabey this is what he saw and the only way he could describe it was locust because he didnt know the word or technology for tiny drone thing.

Best post ever..

I will second that.

Our federal government is a monster that is out of the citizens control, too.

How many times were Ct's told that they were crazy when they said that the Gulf of Tonkin incident was a false flag? Who ended up being correct in that case?

I am not a 'thumper', but that thought flashed into mind when I read it too.

I am a thumper, so I've been thinking it for years now. I just can't work the "power to torment people for five months" part into it. But I'm sure it'll become self-evident eventually...

I am in agreement.
I put the thumper in ' -' because I didn't mean it to be taken derogatorily. I am religious, but have had trouble taking everything in the Bible literally. These minidrones with poison certainly fit the bill for the locust, stings and torment.

I was intrigued by your headline and have been entertained by your posts before but this one is full of anger and crap so I had to comment.

There is more to life than bitching on ATS.

Those 2 things dont go together ?

Why so negative? Calling inventors cockroaches? How is a college genius who invents miniature technologies, even if it is for war, a cockroach?

They are cockroaches because there contributing at making these things that will end up in bad hands like most of the technology ends up with.

You cannot call for these technologies to be illegal bc you are scared they will kill you with them. That is absurd.

If we can't make technologies illegal because on the ground that we are scared it will be used against us.Then on what ground '' can '' we make those things illegal ? because i think the most of the people here on ATS will agree that those kind of technology will eventually be used against us or atleast be used against our privacy rights(believe me they will be used in the USA).

lol, like they wouldn't harden them against EMP too?

But good comment.

The device would have to be physically grounded to withstand an EMP blast.
Don't see it happening.

It was the first thing that came to mind when I read the op. every time I've ever come across the description of the locusts, it always seemed like something that just made no sense at all.... Until now.

As far as the tormenting part.... Imagine them being armed with non lethal weapons and being used against the public to enforce certain, distasteful laws that we might otherwise rebel against.

Imagine swarms of these things being used to attack and disperse a crowd, or mob of protesters, or even rebels once the SHTF!

That's the first thing I though of too. Kinda looks like a locust.

The problem with MAVs is the same as with the larger drones: they allow the US to carry strikes to places we're not at war with (like Pakistan, Yemen or even well-known protesters homes).
When we removed the human element from the battlefield we instantly made the whole world in to a battlefield. Once the shedding of our own blood was the greatest deterrent from war requiring public support to begin one. Now the only thing we stand to lose is a few dollars worth of electronic parts.
What is to stop them from employing these everywhere and against anyone they so choose?
- Nothing, absolutely nothing.
That should scare all of us.

Individual States, and Congress ought to make these things illegal before they even hit the market place for any law enforcement agency

Some states are already working on it

A drone is a drone is a drone.

When is too much power over the people TOO MUCH? NEVER, according to the money grubbing cockroaches who invent these things.

I wouldn't attack the developers. There is nothing wrong technology development or making a profit. It's the people who want to use the technology for the wrong reasons that should be targeted. Take away the market and the supplier will work on something else.

Pretty much. If the USAF is publically admitting it, the USN has had them for a while.

There might be some public value out of these though...you could use them to keep an eye on your baby. I'm sure retailers could use them to combat shoplifting.

This developement would provide a more "sporting" nuance to skeet & trap shooting...if you miss your target will kill you. Maybe the vice president of this lunatic assylm was right? Reach for your 12 gauge.

And what about when this technology gets into the hands of our enemies?

You need to be more concerned about this technology getting into the hands of our Government. Remember those Drones?

Reminds me of the scientists and inventors working for the Nazi's.

I`m pretty sure that they already have these things so it`s just a matter of time before our enemies also get these things.I wonder if china has hacked our computers and stolen the technology for this yet?

When these things become more widespread no one will be safe our political leaders and corporate leaders will have to live in secure underground bunker cities to avoid being assassinated by an enemy micro drone.

Making them illegal in the U.S. would only give our enemies the upper hand because when our enemies start making their own micro drones you can be sure that they will use them.

That`s easy, disease, the micro bots could be used to inject people with a new nasty deadly disease that takes 5-6 months to kill them. The perfect assassination tool, it would look like they died from natural (disease) causes.

I think Sci-Fi/Fiction is responsible for a lot of these ideas. It's just that now we are just getting technologically advanced enough to bring them into reality. I was thinking about one of my favorite killing machines, simple and efficient, the Autonomous Mobile Swords from the movie screamers.

The one we overlook because it's supposed to be outlawed are biological. I read a story once where they invented a virus to sterilize the soil, killing all the nematodes so the soil becomes useless for growing things.

I don't see putting the genie back in the bottle anytime soon.
