I think we're Alone Now

There doesn't seem to be anyone around....

For those of you who are not as hip and down with da Homies as the rest of us older dudes when it comes to pop classic, these were the immortal words from 80's pop sensation Tiffany...before she was abducted..Not by Aliens, but probably just some guy with a Van..

Seriously though, having looked for evidence of UFO's for some considerable time, and i'm not just talking about me, i'm talking millions of people from around the globe....what do we really have as evidence????

That's it...Words...testimony from the lips of Human beings, pilots, ship captains police officers, military pesonnel and the general public...all very capable of being fooled, all very capable of lying, all very capable of being coerced into saying whatever their masters tell them...are more importantly, all very capable of being pig headed and scared to look stupid be retracting a statement made in error.

Not one picture of any quality has to my mind ever been published..... all can be faked very easily.

Not one Video of any decent quality has ever been published. considering the technology we have nowadays...... all can be faked very easily.

So i can honestly say, my opinion is...i think we are alone now, and always have been and probably always will be...
So like 80's pop Goddess Tiffany....I've had my 15 minutes of fame, i've reached for the stars and failed miserably...so my interest in Ufology is finished...

I think I am slowly starting to believe as You are ! I came to this site a while back because I was so interested in the UFO topic and hoped to find more info , but all I have come to realize is that all we have are crappy fuzzy lights and hoaxsters like Hoagland !!

It would be unwise to think we are alone when the universe is so vast. Maybe everything that you have seen and experienced is all just an illusion of what really is happening. What the Eyes see, the Mind believes in most cases.

I believe alot of "UFO" crafts are in fact military, like the Avrocar. So my interest has not diminished yet.

I agree. I think there's something out there... it's only mathematical probabilities.

Maybe we are all Aliens and have yet to realize our true colors. The signs are there and some people choose not to awknowledge it

If you would have done that much research, you would understand that the best cases are never made public and most of the time there is nothing other than written documentation of the incedent for evidence to support.

Heres a member from these very boards, a fave of mine called IsaacKoi - ATS has the honor of him been a member. This man has done research to extents you could not imagine.

Just throwing this out there. What if there are Aliens amongst us, they are going to be way more technologically advanced. What happens if they are Mans Protetor or Guardians of the Cosmos

I understand where your coming from for sure, but seeing is not always believing friend.

There has to be some measure of faith in the matter, as with any other aspect of life. Just because YOU feel like you are getting fed up with waiting for hard evidence, doesn't mean that anything outside this blue marble doesn't exist. Perhaps you should take a hard 5 and stay away from Ufology and paranormal for a while and focus on getting back down to earth.

It's not a mystery to me. I have seen a few things in the sky that are NOT correlateable to known aircraft. But as far as these being E.T.? I really can't say. But I am of the opinion that very advanced civilizations wouldn't come from planets, since we know now ourselves that in the scale of the Universe, and Cosmic time, planets don't really last that long, especially as in the case of our little blue marble, life is very brief. But if these advanced civilization had migrated to living amongst the stars, and only stopping of at planets now and then, like we'd stop at a super market, then that might explain the peaks and troughs of UFO sightings, or why they would be able to just disappear. We have stealth, I can only imagine what they have. Additionally, we here on Earth seem to have the ablity to look very far into the Cosmos, or near Earth orbit. How good are we really at tracking objects that have the ability to FREELY navigate the Solar System without needing to use all that Newtonian Trajectory stuff! It's as good a guess as any I suppose !

You aren't paying attention.

Do some real soul work and look up. But you have to do the work, that is why everyone is here after all.

80´s-90´s...made me think I´ve got the power.....now, I am just not walking on sunshine anymore.....

ok, not that we have that out of the way, I dont think we are "alone", so much as starting to realize that "aliens" were /are just part of an older civilization that may have endured else where while we inherited the earth. Our own defense forces may have SOME high technology we confuse as alien tech. Hell it may be. But the word "alien" should /must change. I think what we consider to be aliens is just another form of US....

And folks my fathers age will remember it was a 1967 hit by Tommy James and the Shondells.

These days I think I can say there is more credible evidence of ghosts and demons than of alien UFOs. That's not to say the phenomenon isn't real, I believe it very well could be, I just haven't seen proof. Just stories, from the internet, tv, and people I know.

I do believe there are other life forms out there in the vastness of the known Universe, are they more adavanced than us...possibly...even 100,000 years would be a massive leep in evolutionary terms if they were on a same evolutionary plane as we are, i just believe they are waaaay to far away to ever have reached this planet...

My Dream is One day we will be able to reach out to the distant stars, but i would also bet my last dollar on us destroying this planet and making it uninhabitable for thousands of years for most life before we ever get the chance to realise this dream.

I have spent too much time on this subject..10/15 years plus...Videos, pics, literature, witness testimony etc....10/15 years wasted as far as i'm concerned....i'm no further forward in my search for the Truth than i was all those years ago, so for this reason...I'm out.


It's been a journey, i will say that.
At times i got quite excited only for someone to come up with a obvious reason for the Pic, Video or whatever....once you realise that you have been duped again your heart just sinks a little, so it's over for me...it's been a hoot but if i had spent the time playing the guitar....well who knows.

Ps, I have seen two things in my life with my own ayes that at the time i though...Maybe, just maybe....now i think...rather bright Satellite and helium Balloon....

I agree - to a point.

I actually think there may be life out there. We are gaining a greater insight into the possibilities of a multiverse (as opposed to a universe) so the chances of us being the only advanced or sentient beings is incredibly small.

However, as it will be an awfully long time (if ever) before we have the technology to explore such vast distances, we may as well be alone. Even if we spot the metaphorical alien waving his hand at us, we won't be able to wave back!

If you look at the whole universe like a tree and Earth is a leaf. Just because us Humans cant jump from leaf to leaf(meaning one planet to another) does not mean that other inhabitants of the universe cant.

I don't think we are "alone" in the universe per se. What I mean is, I think there are other civilizations out ther, somewhere, in the vastness of space.

HOWEVER, I think for all intents and purposes, we may consider ourselves to be alone -- just like a man alone on a tiny deserted island could consider himself to be alone. There are many more people out beyond the shores of his island, but his island is so small and insignificant, those other people many never happen across that island, even in their sailing ships.

Our pace in the galaxy and universe may be the same thing. The universe -- and even the galaxy -- are so large and Earth is so tiny...

We possibly have never been visited because the Earth could easily be overlooked in the vastness of space. Aliens may have no idea we even exist. We are basically just a spec of dust at the scale of the galaxy -- and we are even smaller at the scale of the known universe; at the scale of the known universe, Earth is so small that it could be considered virtually non-existent.

You may argue that they could know about us through our radio transmissions, but even our radio transmissions have gone basically nowhere in the past 100 years we have been broadcasting Look at the image below. That tiny blue dot in the Galaxy is not even our Sun and solar system. Rather, that tiny blue dot in the image below is the extent of our radio transmissions over the past 100 years (a 200 light year diameter bubble). Our solar system is even smaller than that blue dot:

I agree in that we have absolutely nothing by way of credible evidence, and by evidence I mean solid evidence not just testimony on paper, by mouth or a blurry photo or video.

I also believe that the cosmos is vast enough that the potential for intelligent life somewhere out there is too high to ignore.. I am fairly confident that somewhere there is another race of intelligent people, possibly many races on many planets.. but what does that mean? We have to remember the vastness of the cosmos.. there are probably more dead planets out there than those that host life than we can imagine.. so with that being said.. it's not that likely that they would find us in all the noise.. and even if they did, we can't just assume they would have the technology to travel such distance.

Am I saying we haven't been visited? no .. I'm just saying

b) There is absolutely no credible evidence, which supports a

Yeah I would love to believe it .. many would, but the glaring problem there is that wanting to believe something and convincing yourself helps you to take what you see out of actual context.. many believers in the phenomena simply believe it and will take any report or grainy photo and simply use it to support their pre-concieved conclusions without evaluating it objectively.
