I have been watching the live feed from ISS for the past hour or so and not a lot was happening when there were a lot of red lights streaking and also white lights going all over the place.
Tried to take screenshots but am on my iPad and none came out as they were erratic in their show at times.
Must have been a meteor shower ahead of the big one to come?

Residents of the town of Emanzhilinsk, some 50 kilometers from Chelyabinsk, said they saw a flying object that suddenly burst into flames, broke apart and fell to earth, and that a black cloud had been seen hanging above the town. Witnesses in Chelyabinsk said the city’s air smells like gunpowder.

rt.com...
That doesn't sound like a meteor. It sounds like a plane exploding.

cmon, how can an asteriod, closer than some commercial sattelites...not get attracted by earths gravity?

should be an interesting day today

peace

No, DA-14 did not enter our atmosphere, and yes if it did it would explode a lot like this one.

It is not how ever closer than our satellites this is a misconception.

It is attracted by Earth's gravity, how ever it's forward momentum and mass keep it going instead of it being sucked into earth. If it was just floating there, yes earth would probably draw it in, but I believe DA-14 is traveling some 17kilometers a second, or something ridiculous like that. Not going to happen.

Don't see that every day

rt.com...

I think it would have been a little more likely. If they would have claimed Putin shot it down with a slingshot ,while he was riding a Tiger without a shirt, and wrestling a Bear.

A slingshot, the putin I know would just shoot it a menacing glare and it would explode into a puddle of shameful urine.

That makes sense, thanks for your input. I wish this practice was done all over the world, imagine the great sky anomaly videos we would procure.
