Even if it went into two rocks the chances of them behaving having exactly the same level of burn up and trajectory in the way the picture shows are very UNLIKELY.
Look at the picture, look at how the two streams are IDENTICAL. Have you ever thrown two rocks that behaved identically?
Looks suspicious, answers on a postcard or keep your blindfold on.

you broke the embed
Thought I'd post it for you seeing as the thread is going no where now with silly arguments about god knows what.
The good stuff is being ignored in favour of the dark side.. :/
Good video, new to the thread. Sure gives the impact more grunt than some other videos.
It's not the impact that create the boom, it's the sonic boom in air when the object break the speed of sound, as it breaks up, all the pieces creates small sonic booms.

Has anyone found an explanation of the 10+ post explosions or popping sounds , there is the obvious impact but then what sounds like popcorn and its highly unlikely that they are echos as they aren't consistent. this is the first video that I have heard so many of the pops.

Here's some interesting comments from Michio Kaku on the matter:
m.cbsnews.com...
(CBS News) It's possible the giant meteor that slammed into Russia Friday morning has something to do with the asteroid -- known as 2012 DA14 -- that's expected to soon fly by Earth, according one expert.
All that said, it’s quite possible that today will be a bad day for asteroid 2012 DA14. The Earth’s gravity could force it to split in two or shed debris, most of which would follow the same path, missing us by 17,000 miles. “It’s outside the Roche limit where objects are pulled apart, but not much.”

Here's another good video of the "asteroid".
What's weird is that last night I saw two meteorites fall in a pasture only a few hundred feet away from me within a 30 minute period. I wonder if they were tiny fragments from wherever this one came from.
That video's time stamp is for dec 31 2012....
