My guess? Standardized tests revealed that the black children were performing below the whites, hence the tutoring exclusion.

My school did something similar; tutoring only available for students who qualified for free or reduced lunch.

In my opinion, tutoring should be open to ALL

And when an entire subgroup falls behind, then there needs to be a hard look at the reasons for that problem.

This is a clear cut case of racial discrimination.

The principle should be fired.

It has been tried.

There is a racial gap in standardized testing.

However, that does not mean that there are no white children that are falling behind.

There are white children that could benefit from extra tutoring as well.

You can't exude them because of their skin color.

Care to explain to me how (according to the link and to the OP) a program can be designed specifically for people of color? Seriously? I'm pretty speechless. Imagine there is an educational program "designed for whites, but can accommodate others as needed". How'd that sound?

Take a minute and think about this.

What would happen if the same principal offered a special tutoring program for whites only or said it was developed for whites?

What would the reaction be from non whites?

I'm gonna get flamed for saying this butI stongly believe that the problem is mostly genetic. It seems as though just about every Country has this gap. Unfortunately it's not PC to even hint about that probability.
Note i say mostly.

The toutoring will probably help them fill out welfare forms. Thats a required class here in the 8th grade

Exactly. If I could give you more stars I would have. Things are such a convoluted, red-tape mess these days that I think it is extremely difficult to even look for the real problems, let alone find them and address them.

that seems incorrect, primarily because the mostly part is about the difference in quality of life standards. i'll explain:

quality of life standards for caucasians have been kept artificially high, in order to socially engineer and stunt the population growth. it's a form of eugenics. this same thing is happening in europe. and it worked. by making quality of life issues enforceable by criminal charges, caucasians, who don't want to lose their children or be put in jail for neglect or abuse, have slowed their population growth to below the culture sustainable level. in effect, in less than a generation, our culture will be gone, both here in america and in europe.

meanwhile, minority populations, because they are minorities, have not been held to the same rigorous standards, and this holds true here and in europe as well. without the same rigorous standards, the quality of life declines in their population resulting in declines in other areas, such as education.

here is an example of what i'm talking about. this same thing is happening to immigrating hispanic minorities as well, btw. so the only conclusion is that the people who sold us the bill of goods that we should 1) slow our birth rates and 2) agree with higher quality of life laws, making it criminal to have more children than you can provide for according to those standards, whilst simultaneously not enforcing it on minority populations has done the following (this is not my attempt to being anti muslim, it's evidence that the issue is not because black people are not equally capable of being intelligent, but rather, a much more complex issue related to what appears to be peaceful genocide

the reason caucasians are being left out of the conversation is because in less than a generation, our culture will be gone and our laws. since minorities are being taught to hate us,
our race will likely be gone next.

i don't think black people are any less capable of being intelligent. they are just not held to the same standards, and that is because the eugenicists want them to survive and white folks to disappear. it's pretty easy to see it once you start looking at how culture and society works.

I totally agree with you whole heartedly. But IMO genetics is a factor, not the only factor. We are learning more and more on how genes mould us or affect us in every facet of life.

No...there are certain biological differences in humans based on location of ancestry. At the core, we are all one race.

The way you stop racism is by not participating in it.

Perhaps my comment was misunderstood. What this man is participating in, is racism, as he's dividing children based on the color of their skin, and not their educational efficiency.

If you cannot see that the program is racist, then you need to re-evaluate your critical thinking skills. Nowhere did I state that whites can't be, or aren't discriminated against for skin color, of course they are, much like anybody else in today's day and age.

It's ridiculous and the only way to get rid of it, is by denying that there is any actual reason to divide each other in this way.

We had a lot to say about it. But the funds paying for the tutoring came from the government, and we were told only to serve that sub-group or lose the funding.

These were tutors from a company. So, we teachers volunteered to stay an extra hour after school to tutor anyone else who wanted/needed it. We still do.
