Funny....Somehow I doubt Olympic Guns was doing any business with the State of New York prior to thier "moral" stand.

Anyone have evidence otherwise?

Here let me take a look...

Thier distribution network...Wow almost eevery state in the union, but no NY....Just Hilarious

My thoughts are that if all ammo, firearms and all assossicated will stop selling to the Gov.
We The People will see a major change in the way things are done.
Local LEO,S,FBI,CIA,DHS etc.
WE THE PEOPLE WILL GET OUR GOV. Back.
Just my thoughts.
Just my opinion.

I wonder what it would take for one of the ammo manufacturers (ie ATK) to say to DHS...."no more future orders until the market is stabilized. You have enough* on backorder with no pressing need for more and your excessive orders are interfering with the availability of supply for citizens."

*1.627 Billion rounds....and counting.

You know guns dont go away once you use them right???

they stick around I know a lot of New Yorkers with multiple guns, they will just have to get em a different way.... And then the criminals can take care of all the anti-gun crowd... while the pro gun crowd sits cozy and safe in their houses

thats the real world

So you want to kill all "anti-gun" people...nice.

This is why people think pro-gun people are nuts...because of people like you.

Also, that's not the real world, that is your paranoid delusions.

There you go putting words in people's mouths again - you definitely have a history of it.

All he did (and nicely done sir) is take your twisted logic to its conclusion. Those that aren't armed are prey. Thus the anti-gun crowd's days are numbered. Simplistic and unrealistic - most definitely. But funny nonetheless.

I don't know much About Olympic Arms, is that their name. but i bet a very large part of their business is the sale of cheaply made Ar style guns. I bet also they don't do much business with the government state or federal.I also suspect they will have a bump in sales. Such is corporate greed.

Now I just had a thought on this. since the absurdity of stockpiling automatic exotic weapons with tons of ammo, is becoming more and more apparent, what with that incident in California, perhaps the desire, to keep the fantasy of armed rebellion alive, fuels the demand for unfettered access to weapons. The accumulation of arms acts as a surrogate for actual rebellion. And in this may provide some purpose.

My guess is that Olympic Arms wants to protect your right to bear arms, because they sell arms. And they don't sell arms so that you can protect your right to bear arms. But good on them for a good old fashioned marketing effort.

Well that's good news for the gun owners of NY... I have an Olympic Arms AR-15 and it is a POS. You get what you pay for.

I love the idea, but that would be business suicide

I love it! Bushmaster would be the big one though, they account for over 60% of AR's bought by law enforcement!

You can say it to a state, you can not say it to the US Government. They will claim national security and take the business!

You're trying to be funny, but you're not very funny at all. What you just described is what I like about how this country is supposed to work. People are free to want whatever they like, if you can provide that thing you are free to try and provide it. If they like it well enough and buy it, you get rewarded by making a bunch of $ for your hard work and ingenuity. You don't think that's OK then I consider you part of the problem.

I have one of their 1911's and it is top notch. (Its my favorite gun) I was told they have a six month waiting period because each one is hand fitted. They are popular guns I remember seeing them used in the movie "wanted" and we all know how bad a$$ the guns where in that movie lol I personally applaud them for standing up for the constitution and our rights as Americans. Would it be better if they did nothing???

To All Anti-Gun Folks:

IF you don't want to buy a gun then don't buy a gun, but don't inflict your beliefs on others. With your logic I can dictate all kinds of things. I don't smoke so you can't smoke. I don't watch TV so ban TVs. I don't eat pickles so you can't either. I am a heterosexual so ban homosexuality. Those things aren't even constitutional rights. Anti-whatever people are sick in the head and that mentality and has no place in a free society. I hope the Government starts taking away things you care about so you can experience some of your own philosophy.

Bottom line...if you don't want something don't buy it but leave other people out of your belief system.

I agree with you but they aren't claiming to have or even want a hold over government. They are a private company who has decided not to do business with these particular entities. That is well within their rights as a private company correct?

Like others have stated I wish the big manufacturers would follow suit. Then maybe the gov would get the picture.

I've heard very few negative reviews of their rifles. Most people claim they run great. You must have got a lemon.

However, it doesnt take much to get them running good, even the crappy ones can be tuned by a gunsmith. Sometimes all it takes is replacing one or a few parts.

Olympic Arms could always offer NYS a compromise.

NYS goes back on it's unlawful arms legistlation, and Olympic Arms agrees to sell only weapons to Citizens, LEO's and other State departments that are coloured Bright fluroecent pink, with 'i cry like a little girl at Lassie movies' printed on them

The citizens can arms themselves against OOC gov, and loonies and NYS can arm it's LEO's with highly visible weapons..plus theres the benefit of the paintjob to turn crims off.

Ok...back to the drawing board!
