I was in for eight years and I had a secret clearance.

I don't think its a routine thing..I agree...

If anything like that happened...happens its probably DOD not regular military.

And I never said sorcerous....other types of pure tech and drugs could be used to befuddle minds.

I only know of one somewhat mystical organization in the government and its more religious than sorcerous.

May I presume that you don't get night terrors?

Do You get night terrors?

I have SP at times. As a kid I had SP worse, and sleepwalked a lot, as did my two closest brothers.

I don't have night terrors though.

I'm also curious why you have significant episodes of alien motif sp?

Were you fixated on alien motif mythology when young?

Not really...I was into horror movies, but this wasn't abducty. More like...school being held in the yard with other kids from up and down the road.

Or have you ever had a seemingly real experience you've not shared with is?

Pretty much every SP experience I have is seemingly real. But obviously isn't...a lot of mine are dead people getting into bed with me, for example.

Thank you.

I'm fairly convinced that 100% of the people
Who have 'high strangeness encounters'
Also have or have had night terrors or
Possibly a few other interesting and
Identifiable characteristics.

No night terrors for me. SP has become very rare for me too. I have had one episode in the last year. It was happening once every couple of months until a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure none of it ever happened in 'the real world'. But it was very odd, and I have intense memories of it. However, as a yoot I started to question it and discovered that while my brothers often had sp-ish vaguely similar dreams the same nights, they differed very widely from what I remembered. Both could not have been true.

As I got older, I started finding discrepancies while still dreaming (there's not a window in that wall...) and it became easier to pick them apart in real time. But it doesn't make having some dead person get into bed with you any less unpleasant.

That said, there are a few of them that were very creative and would make a decent horror movie scene even now, which looking back on I don't know how a 6 year old came up with. Hell, even as an adult, there have been a couple that were fairly colorful.

I think the most startling moment was when I first saw Communion and they showed Strieber's 'blue doctors', I came out of my seat with a "THAT'S IT!...almost". They're within maybe 10% of what I've been seeing since the mid 60s. The faces aren't quite right. But I couldn't draw you a better picture.

Understood. I'm generally a skeptic when it comes to any type of alien abduction. However, at least in my mind taking advantage of a being's natural biology seems very logical. Thanks for the reply.

...and - in the mind - is where many dreamscape images take place...it should then be logical to assume that 'a beings' natural' imagination is also being hi-jacked.

...abduction, then, could be implanted using neural processes, and the reason be masked by the implanted imagery...

I saw a "grey alien" in 1981, like 7 years before communion was published.

At that time I didn't believe in classical UFOs and aliens 'visiting Earth' and I still don't 35 years later.

(granted I "believe in" "other things" based upon observation and evidence-like things).

What's fascinating is where these images are coming from....

In your case and mine..

I didn't see those until my post-Army period when I had lots and lots of sleep disturbances, but they were generally the worst SP sequences EVAR. They're what inspired me to start looking for discrepancies and use them to break or redirect the dream.

Generally my 'alien' SPs were blue doctors or something remarkably similar to Galadriel from the recent LOTR movies. Beautiful, slightly...off, melodic but colorless voice with slightly odd inflections like she was speaking English as a second language. Somewhat distant, and maybe unsympathetic. Wasn't sure I did or didn't like them. The blue guys you couldn't help but like. Voices like the supertoy bear from AI.

Have you ever seen the strange faced humanoids with Asian eyes?

There have been many 'MIB' sightings of such.

In the years previous to the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind my SP episodes involved the classic movie monsters, Wolfman, Frankenstein and Dracula and sometimes the Gargantuas movies and weird stuff from Vincent Price films that my uncles shouldn't have let me watch at that age.

After the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind it was all aliens.

Then, I checked out the Strieber book from the post library and after I ETS'd things got all totally Greco-Roman for years until my thirties when I started to get the upper-hand on it.

One of the first things that I wanted to do once I got home and was availed of more than the Stars and Stripes and the little post library could offer was to get some perspective on the SP thing. The Strieber Communion book had sort of nudged me in the direction of thinking that others must have an explanation for the experience that didn't involve aliens.

Ah geez, I'm going all ,,,Purple Mountains Majesty on you guys (that's a joke from The Birdcage). Do you ever ramble on like this and realize it's un-postable and then dump it and bail? I'll post it anyway.

Anyway, I didn't have great access to books and information then either, really, there was no internets. But I discovered that folks that did certain types of yoga seemed to be inducing an SP type experience in themselves, and then there were the epileptics of every stripe and severity. Those are the guys that I could really identify with.

Derp.

There are definitely yoga techniques that can prime one to be prone to such experiences.

What interests me is when one seems to experience something not from societal input at all...

'Machine elves' anyone?

'Peyote dogs'?

I've never experienced either.

Good choice of words, prime; yeah, it's the kundalini-centred stuff, with kriyas that lever antinomial and forbidden plumbing.

I've never experienced either.

Me neither. But I have experienced, as part of the aura preceding a few SP episodes, something repetitive, rhythmic and maybe machine like, like clockwork voices.

Like what?

That would be different for each person and hard to absolutely verify.

For example 'machine elves' -- if one has never
Read the good doctors books Or talked to someone about the topic. Or done Peyote.

Or me and that giant in my face BTUFO.....

I don't believe in aliens, or 'UFO's' but there it was...

And it felt like a 'Happy night terror' if that
Even makes sense.

Yes, it does for sure.

I had an experience once at 09:30ish one morning that had me pulled over to the side of the road that might have been like that.

Oh, yeah. Religiously at certain periods in my life. I've got all sorts of anecdotal tales of yogic woe and silliness.

I suspected that we are like brothers for some time....we've had epic sibling fights at times.

The question always is though...lol..
Pure labile plasticity and autonomous nervous system redirection?

But I've seen and touched and dealt with freaky stuff.....

Could all be delusion of Course.

But we might be brains in vats...

'Reality' and 'truth' may as well be curse words!

Yeah. We are remarkably alike. It really settles my soul to know that I'm not alone. The whole gang that we run with, is like that for me.

It's awfully strange to be injected in to this place, isn't it? And not know how you know that you've been injected hence.
