For those who haven’t had the opportunity to read, let me share some of the words written on the Gospel of St. Matthew's:

The Gospel according to
St. Matthew 24

The Destruction of the Temple and Signs before the End
Mk. 13.1-23 · Lk. 21.5-24

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Mt. 10.22

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mt. 10.22

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, Dan. 9.27 ; 11.31 ; 12.11 stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand,)

16 then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

17 let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Lk. 17.31

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 for then shall be great tribulation, Dan. 12.1 · Rev. 7.14 such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Lk. 17.23, 24

28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Lk. 17.37

The Coming of the Son of Man
Mk. 13.24-31 · Lk. 21.25-33

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, Is. 13.10 · Ezek. 32.7 · Joel 2.31 · Rev. 6.12, 13 and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven Dan. 7.13 · Rev. 1.7 with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 so likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Carry on (..)

No Man Knoweth the Day and Hour
Mk. 13.32-37 · Lk. 17.26-36 · 1.34-36

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, Gen. 6.5-8 so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; Gen. 7.6-24 so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Lk. 12.39, 40

The Unfaithful Servant
Lk. 12.41-48

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 and shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The underline about the false prophets is mine. I think that part is happening nowadays, in a indirect way… Because, if you remember since the last years, we have been fully engaged with Mayans prophecy (didn’t happen, and it seems we still are appointed for doom in 21March2013), the comet ELENIN (you know all about), Nostradamus prophecies, and lately, this one from Malachy… and it will go on (comet ISON, etc)… The Gospel of St. Matthew’s is being fulfilled in much aspects that we all can easily related to recent news around the world…

I don’t know what and when is going to happen… I know that I want to be prepared (if we can call it that) for what’s coming… Indeed, we (must of us) need to change the way of being to others, clean our souls, respect the world around and give thanks for what was given to us… time to change and correct the evils things we have done to each other… (well, this last part is a little more personal, forgive me for that).

I have never been to a bingo hall. There is something about a room full of people, boring enough to enjoy such a thing, that makes me very sad. However, in response to the clear intent of your post, to suggest that I am the sort of slackjawed dull eyed halfwit that would suit that past time, all I can say is that you are welcome to your opinion.

A sign for the pope? St. Peter's Basilica lightning called message from God

I'm a Christian, but I'm not sure how a lightning strike can all the sudden be translated as a "positive" message from God. The person quoted could just as easily called it a "negative" message. It's all interpretation.

The more I read this sentence, the less I understand it.
When was the Roman Church persecuted in the first place, so how can anybody write about a "final persecution"? They used to be on the other side of the stick, as far as I know.
Any idea ?

What did you expect when they elected a former Nazi who is a dead ringer for Star Wars' Emperor Palpatine..as the Pope? Confetti from the heavens?

Seriously though, his age and health was a known issue back when they elected him, this was pretty much a foregone conclusion. I'm sure I even posted such back then. For their sake, they should make a better choice this time around...the Catholic Church has a MAJOR PR problem, and it will take someone with John Paul II's charm and charisma to pull them out of it...not another choice whose mere appearance frightens children...

you are correct. he is quite the ghoulish figure. I think if you want to equate it to something, i would have to say if Obama stepped down, or was impeached. Doesnt happen often, and is a big deal.

Its not so much the why, to me, as is the who's a comin' round the corner. Especially in light of the prophecy of Malachy. I tend to favour prophecies, because i fancy a good fright story. Alot of interesting and bone-chilling speculation to be had for the next month! Bring on the dooooooooom porn!!!

Could the apocalypse refer to the end of the Catholic church, and not planet Earth as a whole?

To me it makes more sense that the end times refer to the demise of the Catholic church. With all of the scandals in the last 10+ years they have laid the foundation to alienate their followers and make their religion synonymous with pedophiles and tantamount to scientology.

Why anyone believes in any organized religion is beyond me. Those who have 100% faith in an organized religion were probably plunked down in a pew as a 1 year old, and force fed a belief system by their parents, and their parents parents parents (to paraphrase Monty Python).

A person would worship bigfoot it they were brainwashed from an early age.

Put down the bible, the koran, etc, and pick up a book on quantum mechanics, or at least the Tao of Physics.

I am firmly agnostic, I don't know what the heck is going outside of the physical plane we live on, but I don't force my beliefs on others. Organized religion = bad.

Ratzinger always struck me as less of a leader and more of a " fixer ". He, for many reason, obviously wasn't the Glorious Leader type like John Paul II was. He's a bean counter, behind the scenes, jobber type that was elected Pope for reasons that have more to do with internal, structural politics than the outward face of the church, I think. His role in the pedophile scandal is relevant, both to is election and his resignation. That is to say, I think he was the keeper of dirt on a lot of important and powerful folks. And not just those in the priesthood. It raised him up, and now is one of the big reasons for his leaving. I think the hope is to scapegoat him. He's ill, he's old. Soon he'll be dead and when it's offically determined that it was " all his fault " he'll already be gone. I don't at all doubt his health is failing. He does look like hell, ( Hi-yo!) but that alone wouldn't be enough to end his career.

Many folks in this thread keep remarking about the papacy and the Church as not being all that important and that there's nothing to see here but a sick old man retiring. This is naive at best, and foolishly, willfully ignorant at worst. The Catholic Church is a ruthlessly power hungry political machine that has more secrets than followers. Even at this point in time when it's relative power is diminished, the roles and rules are strict and no one gets to the top spot without being political and power hungry. The connections and threads of association go back for thousands of years and cannot be discounted in any major move The Church makes. The Elite have been entwined with the Vatican for generations, and this is to say nothing of the time in history where virtually all of the history was being recorded solely by monks, nuns, and priests. The traditional hold on power still has major reverberations.

It should be noted that Ratzinger once held the office of Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith , that is to say, Grand Inquisitor.

It should also be noted, by those who care, that both this and the last pope were 85 at the end of their papacy. 8+5 = 13

And one final thought. I am of the mind that TPTB are in the midst of a political/ritual version of the alchemical pathway to The Philosopher's Stone. The first step is Nigredo, blackening or darkness. The reelection of America's first black president, the theme of darkness at this year's Super Bowl, and, if true, the first black Pope could all be symbolic of this. I would love to hear of more items on this theme from around the world to test the theory. And please, don't jump on me about suggesting that black people are symbolic of evil. That's NOT at all what I am saying. I'm saying in sympathetic magic, the appearance of dark or black is of importance. I think TPTB are riffing on darkness in a literal and symbolic way, like power outages and the general abrupt ending of things, or destruction. The Dark Knight Rises was evocative of this theme. It could be looked at also as the " chaos" portion of " order from chaos" that the NWO likes so well.

The tragedy is there was sexual abuse, but to say that every single individual priest on the planet is a pedophile is quite the statement. Do you have documentation to back up your claim that every priest on the planet is a pedophile? I love the general assumptions.

Where there priests that committed the abuse? Absolutely. Is every priest on the planet a pedophile by the very nature of them simply being a priest? I think not.

Hi, I have to say that on that link you gave about the Malachi Prophecies, the one of St Catherine caught my eye, as the link suggests she may have been referring to the NWO, but I think even more specifically, it describes the unity of many religions even pagan ones under the banner of the UN World Council of Churches. This is part of the plan of the NWO to replace the world's religions with a sanitized watered down version devoid of the Spirit. Anyone seen the meditation room at the UN? It looks like modern cubist painting with ugly angular lines on the back wall and it is just not a place I would feel holy and reverent in. It feels like the ugly modernism of some modern churches.
Just my two cents.

I always thought it was ominous the Pope was a member of the Hitler Youth. Okay so his "excuse" was every young boy in Germany at the time was in the Hitler Youth. So pick somebody else... you know? The Hitler Youth wasn't just the German boy scouts, these guys were Hitler fanatics. Why not pick a pedophile and give him the job of Pope... perhaps that would be slightly less repulsive than a former Hitler Youth member.

So, lets see, former Hitler fan club member is made Pope, and is the first Pope to abduct in 600 years. A prophecy declares him as the last pope before the end of days. Great. Perfect. You can almost hear the wind of the Apocalypse.
