Maybe the PD just figured out he escaped.

Even if the cabin was empty ? Do you think they would come out and admit that ? For all we know Jim Phelps and the IMF crew smuggled him out of there as one of the wounded officers.

As a media professional, I don't think I've ever seen someone with less information or competency lead a press conference about a breaking news story than Cindy Bachman, the San Bernadino Sheriff's Office spokewoman.

Anyone skilled and experienced in crisis communications media relations knows that it is imperative to delay a media availability until there is factual, fluid information to communicate.

(WOW it seems like I missed a heck of a lot in the last 6 hours; boring work event UGH!)

Think of the enormous backlash of outrage from several directions if by chance Dorner was not the man who allegedly committed the alleged home invasion and automobile theft and it was another gentleman who coincidentally committed the alleged auto theft and LE based their response on the statement of two caucasian women who simply said a African American man robbed them and they thought it might be Dorner.... I'll go one step further, imagine the gentleman barricaded and who perished in the cabin was not African American but Hispanic or Caucasian with an olive complexion.

After I catch up on the enormous developments that I missed in the past 6 hours I am tremendously excited to compare the stories being stated by various officials this evening with the live posting of the minute by minute details that I was posting earlier based on the reports of the KCAL reporter who arrived in conjunction with LE and the shooting began...

If the body is charred, as it almost certainly was if they allowed the house to burn to the ground, it will take 2-3 days for a positive ID, via his Navy dental records.

Regardless of whether or not this was a covert op, this episode was heaven sent for the gun-grabbers.

I'd like to add this to the mix of this very fluid and interesting discussion:
It is quite convenient that two events occurred in the 48 hours leading up to the State of the Union:
(1) The ending of the Dorner thing minutes before the start of the SOTU

(2) The arrest in the murder of the Chicago high school student who performed with her school group at the Inauguration (her parents were in attendance at the SOTU and the First Lady attended the funeral on Sunday which was a week and a half after the murder). I mention this because if you've seen the 1994 film "The Paper" you will understand the merit of the arrest in this high profile case. (Not speculation, but something that I've learned from a very strong source here in Chicago which I promise to fully disclose by Thursday).

Btw the President is speaking here in Chicago on Friday and will focus on an issue related to both events I've mentioned...

as a recent discharge, no, it won't - but regardless, we won't be told the truth anyway ... what makes you think we would be ??

Please tell me someone recorded the LE radio communications that the officer stated blood spatter in the corner and dead body under two mattresses.

That radio traffic is crucial to review and understand.

I just spoke with Clyde Lewis' producer and gave him a head's up about the audio broadcast via Radio Reference on the San Bernadino County Sheriff System 7/8 scanner in which one officer tells another officer that there was "blood spatter in the corner" , "two mattresses" on the floor. The other officer then directed him to look under the door because he sees camouflage under it before finally the other officer says something to the effect of we're going to go ahead and burn it down.

Man I tried my ass off on two different scanners before my first post to this thread. One being a link back on page 12. I had to give up or this thread would at this moment be minus a lot of knowledge. Shut up Randy !
