OK, I see, here is the deal - it's not Google (as some surmised a few minutes ago here) - I Checked their Bot, it comes by my site every 3 days or so.
So, it has to be an individual from Bakersfield, CA - like said - now, do any of you smart people know of ANY software that can alert someone (or the gov't) that you just Updated your website?
Like I said - I am not promoting my site here - I can do that just fine. I am asking a SERIOUS Question that most of You May Be Concerned About - and I am hoping some members here can answer: I am genuinely concerned - EACH time I make ANY Update to my site I IMMEDIATELY see a visitor from there on THAT page ONLY. Not Google, like I said - they even sometimes check the weather or something there too. I see REAL TIME Visitors here. Every Day for 4 mos. they appear, EXACTLY when I'm Updating. So, any Tech-Savy Member pls tell me, Is It Possible to track a Website's Updates Real-Time?

Is there any way you could post the ip address of the person tracking you so a tech savy person here could take a look at it?

www.ip-tracker.org...

Or here...whois.net...

Add your own and do a who is...

Sounds like it is who ever hosts your site lol...

That is why it updates when you do, or possibly a mirrored site? Is your web site your own (Do you host it?) I am betting you have a service like most people. If you hosted it and I mean no offense you would most likely know where your traffic is from with a sniffer.

If you just type in that IP it takes you to the site it's registered to. The whole (www.whatever.com) think is DNS. Domain Name Server that points an address like (www.whatever.com) to the number (IP Address) like you listed. If you type ping www.(whatever.com) in a command prompt, you will get a return address of that site. They may have multiple IP's and you will only see the one associated with port 80 on that side.

If you already know all this, then disregard. Not trying to squash your possible conspiracy, just offering what tiny bit of knowledge I have.

Is there any ill affects you notice?

A search site updating the cache of your site is a good thing I would think. But then I am more of an infrastructure guy than a web guy.
