Mysterious photographs of Elvis were found at an auction house in Dover, Fla., and are believed to be from his time filming a movie in the area in 1962.

Would you care to elaborate on why these are so mysterious?
You do realise there are thousands of photographs of him out there!

Cool find, but why are they called mysterious?

Elvis was a star at the time, and anyone would have taken the opportunity for a photo with him.

So OP... What's so mysterious about the picture?

I think he looks older in the picture than when he died back in 1977... That's what i find strange about it.

The OP is following ATS guide lines about using the same heading as the link. "Mystery Elvis...."

Well I think that's interesting. Elvis is huge in Memphis, TN. People literally come from all around the world just to see where he used to live... Graceland!

Haven't been... There's also a graceland two out in Arkansas I do believe. It's this old guy that has a completely blue house and it's just everything Elvis. He's a die hard fan. Well it's actually in Holly Springs, MS. And it's called graceland too. Sometimes the house is pink sometimes it's blue.

Anyway..nice find on the pictures. I guess what's mysterious is no one knows who took the pictures.

You do realize you are 'yelling' at an anonymous person online because they failed to explain every little aspect of a random, seemingly unimportant picture of Elvis....yeah?

Is it really THAT important?

Did this one post really sum up the entire 'dumbing down' or ATS for you?

I know another member said that this is part of the “dumbing down of ATS”, I personally would have to agree although I don’t think I would use those words rather I would say that this thread and threads like this are part of the “lowering of ATS standards”.

I know the OP is still new here so may not be familiar with the usual expectations but a thread with a picture and one line doesn’t really cut it, there is nothing here for us to discuss. There is no conspiracy, if for instance the OP was to have posted a picture of Elivis on his mobile phone to Lady Gaga then we might have a “Elvis isn’t dead” or “Elvis is a time traveller” thread to debate. While both may be totally ludicrous it is better than posting a picture.

I am not saying that we should be discouraging new members form posting, far from it , I am encouraging them to post, but I would also discourage them from posting threads like this.

No you didn’t you posted a link, a photo and then copied the caption of that photo into the OP, that’s not the same as you adding your own facts to the opening post as you have implied with this thread. There is a world of difference between omitting what you don’t know and just not posting anything atoll, I am not saying post a load of rubbish just to post something, I am saying if this is just a picture of Evils then it does not belong on ATs.

I think the very fact that your reply to me has more to it than your OP says it all.it’s a shame you didn’t put this much effort into the OP.

Your OP really just consists of a photo and a sentence copied form the source, nothing more essentially all you have is a photo of Elvis .

What is the significance of this photo other than the fact that it is a new photo of Elvis?

Is there something that we can read into this or have you just posted it for no other reason other that it’s a new photo of Elvis.
