In this clever video, the editor calls up a Reagan speech, and then contrasts his points with actual events that take place later in the Obama era. Point after point is dead on. With over 3 million views, I was amazed not to find it immediately in ATS search. I thought if it wasn't on ATS, it probably didn't matter? It's probably around here somewhere.

Despite his short comings Reagan may have been the last president who actually believed in America and the principles she was founded on.

He does not support worker ownership. Chrysler workers have been lobbying Obama since 2009 to allow a worker buyout of the company.

I think if we were to view this video, not under the context of liberal or conservative, but under the context that this is explaining the modern leaders as a whole, then I think you'll hold greater value to you.

Propaganda is rampant on BOTH sides. This video is an attempt to continue to brainwash people to be suspicious and hate the president. The GOP, big corporations, the wealthy and the NRA (among others) want him OUT and will do whatever it takes to that end.

People, whether you fall for propaganda or not is entirely up to YOU. Whether you spread it or not is up to you. Use what's left of your rational mind.

Speaking of Reagan... Is it just me or is his "legacy" the biggest propaganda con-job we've seen in ages? The GOP has built him up to Mt. Rushmore stature as one of the great American leaders. My memory of when he was in office is quite different. Contrary to what the media says, here's what I remember about his administration:

He was ridiculed by nearly everybody as a buffoon and completely addle-brained. He had no idea what was going on in his administration and that led to multiple scandals when people under him ran wild and broke the law over and over again. He crippled our economy in an arms race with the Soviets. We lasted longer, barely. His wife was a ditz who listened to psychics more than advisors... That whole 8 years was a hot mess and yet now it's seen as some golden age of American society. The 80s sucked... why have we forgotten that?

If only we would have been warned about Reagan.......

Too bad these hack/chop videos that people put out are not beholden to things like facts and truth. These videos are made just to get the emotional all riled up against a cause.

Reagan took our gun rights away in california. He banned open carrie of a loaded firearm.

No doubt. Furthermore, Obama's presidency has so many parallels to Reagan's that, at times, the two administrations are indistinguishable. Heck, Obama is closer to being Reagan than anyone on the right.

We all pretend to know and accept that there are people who are paid to protect the status quoe and to stiffle dissent.

People paid to post in online forums just like this.
But for some reason, when it becomes painfully obvious that they are posting in a certain thread
and you call attention to it then, It becomes laughable and the subject of ridicule.

If any claim in the video is false then I challenge any of these people bring it forward to discuss.

It's not that there is anything "false" in the video, it's how and why the video was made.

Look at it this way:

Reagan, an icon to the Neo-conservative right, has his speeches edited and is then put into a video that makes irrelevant correlations to current events under an Obama presidency...whom the Right love to hate.

So you have Reagan (love) vs. Obama (hate).

This is made for the Right, to keep perpetuating the Left vs. Right and people are eating it up.

This IS propaganda! There is no context or substance to anything in the video.....it's just there to make the Right feel all warm and fuzzy.
