Watch RT everywhere? No thank you. RT used to be about freedom and liberty. RT has turned into the voice of Russian royalty/Government.

To hell with RT.

It seems like crims wouldn't carry every day, just when they were out on a mission. The scanners could be easily thwarted by anyone crafty enough.

I believe imaging someone in IR and using the info for "probable cause" stop and frisk will stand as legal.

Forcing normal citizens thru scanners, even for using mass transit is madness.

If we let them treat us all like criminals, then we're truly living as if in a prison.

I believe the public should have access to all video data that they have paid for. Open video links in all public offices and court. You know, in *case* there is a law broken....the same premise used to install public street cameras. lol, tell me crimes aren't ever committed by public officials.

We do have problems in this country. You can sense the arrogance toward the public which these monsters wield....from top to bottom. I have some local govt issues, and I'm about to pull a Mach 5 on them in court. Wish me luck.

Where is some organization like the ACLU when you need them? They're either fighting the war against religion or they got their heads so far up Planned Parenthood's arse that they aren't even there to fight a real trampling of civil liberties like this one.

Really . . . The ACLU, unless you were being sarcastic, is a progressive organization that was started and inspired by the communist movement at the turn of the 20th. Here is a quote from Roger Baldwin, one of the founders:

I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself … I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.

He was inspired by Emma Goldman, who was deported to Soviet Union for communist activites in the US.

They helped Margaret Sanger start Planned Parenthood, as a eugenics organization. And, I believe in pro-choice, but that doesn't change the origins of that group.

I'm sure the ACLU is all the way on board with these tactics . . . they'll say it's bringing equality of safety to all Americans and then tell you how much they believe in the Constitution and what a great country this is.

they'll probably charge you with something suitably ridiculous, like "criminal mischief", or some such..

Its use would change the definition of concealed weapon to some degree.

When done in public, without consent, could it be construed as an unlawful search?

Don't forget that you're talking about NY City. As long as the perps grease the right palms, they can get away with anything. Even a coverup as big as 9/11.

'NY' in the title.....ever notice how New York is..... or seems to be about Draconian measures. On a host of topics. Liberal thinking at it's best. It seems that everyday New York is trying to enact some law in an attempt to ensure their Nanny state will be all powerful, and have some law backing their dictates.

Guns, soda size, etc, etc. It seems that Andrew Cuomo and California's Jerry 'Moonbeam' Brown are cut from the same Liberal cloth, as all the invasive laws seem to be coming from these two locations. Both represent America's Blight Capitols.

I can see a spike in cancer rates with all these scanners. These assault scanners should be banned

The movie Escape from New York comes to mind. We need Snake Plissken to kick some politican ass as well as Piers Morgan's

It's no looking good in America and my heart goes out to my ATS friends over the pond. Do you think that they will send people to FEMA re-education camps if they refuse being scanned in public?. Also I can see this spreading world-wide as what starts in one country starts in another just look at UK more cameras then any other country. Then your gov in US wanted cctv's. This could be the start of Hell on earth for the 99%. Love & Peace to you all xx

Actually, we *need* to wall off NYC, cut power/communications and declare a no-fly zone just like the movie. In defense of humanity if nothing else.

About the only thing the ACLU has done right in recent years is break the NDAA story.

If the fretful yan'kee is too paranoid to loosen their grip on their boomstick then the only recourse is to turn society into a police state.
