Hi all,

since I've experimented with supplementing with both borax and boron I thought I would offer my two bits here.

I started taking it thinking I could decalcify my pineal with it and perhaps kill some candida. I had read some journal article abstracts that said it reduced magnesium excretion and also improved fertility.
Over the course of months I took boron supplements and didn't notice much difference. I also used borax.

All in all I don't think it resulted in my pineal being decalcified (and I did have xray's of my sinus' to prove it was calcified after all of this).

I think like any micronutrient it is essential for some functions in the body, but taking large lumps of it isn't going to cure you of anything.

If you really want to decalcify your pineal gland you might want to look at buying a uvb light so that you can generate vitd and a host of other body chemistry reactions that depend on uv light. As a previous poster indicated, fluoride goes where the calcium is (due to the formation of calcium fluoro apatite) so getting your body the radiation it actually needs goes a long way. Vitd supplements can only do so much, especially if you're really deficient.

and I should also mention, I did a hair tissue mineral analysis about a year after supplementing with boron/borax and my hair still showed extremely elevated levels of boron.

I mix borax, flour, sugar and a couple drips of water in to a very thick paste, roll then in to balls about the size of marbles and place them in the bowls of rentals that are knee deep in cockroaches.

They're all dead in a matter of days....

If you're so worried about fluoride then drink distilled water. Eating what has been used as bug killer for years, while decrying GMO foods that make their own bug killers makes absolutely no sense IMO.

Lipton, salt kills slugs, breathing air like a human being kills fish, chocolate kills dogs and soap kills all kinds of germs. We are not roaches.

Hi herefortheride, I just sniffed my tub of lab-grade borax, and my admittedly somewhat jaded olfactory organ detected no smell whatsoever. I also possess about 3kg of '20 mule team Borax WITH LANOLIN' industrial hand cleaner, for use by oily handed mechanics, I presume the sheep-wool oil replenishes the skin oil that the borax removes. Knowing where I found this, I would estimate that it is probably 20-30 years old, and it smells vaguely of wet sheep. I have used this 'with lanolin' borax exclusively for bathing ever since I found it, I dip 3 wet fingers in up to the first joint and apply this to my wet hair. This produces a lather on my head, with which I wash the rest of me. Then rinse. My hair seems more profuse and lustrous since I started doing this, and seems to stay clean longer than it used to. Have you ever read the ingredients on a bottle of shampoo or shower gel? Some of those made-up names conceal seriously nasty chemicals that I truly don't think you need to be absorbing through your skin.

Hi whitewave, I originally came upon borax as a means of de-calcifying my pineal gland, I wasn't dreaming, and the instruction I found was that a higher dose than the nutritional RDA was useful. Obviously, without a before and after biopsy my perceived results are officially unproven, I just report my experience. I believe this is how us human beings have found out about allsorts of useful stuff, peer to peer communication.
"ug, bro, dat rock good stuff chew" ETC.
I make 5 litres at a time, and do not refrigerate, correct me if I'm wrong, anybody, but Idont think much can live in the solution.

Hi jacygirl, your avatar sees wonder and marvels at it. Thank you for adding to this thread. Borax is half as toxic as table salt, which we (or at least some of us) sprinkle liberally on our food every day. I have been reading MSM health advice for 30 years or so, one week butter will kill you with cholesterol, next week it's the best thing since sliced bread. The borax solution is quite alkaline, and I don't think much harmful could live in it. I don't refrigerate mine, although we don't have much heating around the place. If it makes one feel safer, keep it in the fridge. It will do no harm.

Hi whitewave, borax is a simple inorganic substance, (Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate) and contains no saponins. And yes, it is just an adjunct in soaps. Our grannies used it to dissolve organic stains (blood, fat, grass, etc) on laundry. It is a simple mineral, dug out of the ground where it occurs, and is +99% pure as they dig it up, in Turkey and mid USA somewhere (that's where the 20 mule team thing comes from).

Hi saneguy, I'm scanning 'thrift shops'? charity shops in UK for an ultrasound jewelry cleaner, you can make 'liposomal' vitamin C in one. It pleases me that you can reverse vanity into health benifits.
Did you see this?

Hi ancientpast, do you have these uvb bulbs for sale perhaps? I think that everything we need exists in nature. Consumer electrical goods are quite good for some things, if I want a cup of coffee, the electric kettle means I don't have to light a fire.
Mr Natural says "at the centre of the earth is a big ball of fire. All the rest is bull#". Just sayin'.

Lippman, I mean Lipton, you sound like a really nice guy. Renting out cockroach-ridden apartments. We had one in England in the 1960's, Rachman, his name became synonymous with predatory jewish landlords.
Take your satanic attitude elsewhere, this thread is pro life.

haha, no I don't sell them. Regardless of what nature has to offer some people rely on technology and may benefit from it....many live in cities far away from nature.

Who is Mr. Natural and what does that have to do with anything

Freebornman, I just wanted to recap without confusion and or a wall of text how you make the stuff and how much should be taken. I don't want people to have bad symptoms and blame the borax before the amount. Just like some will take 10 advils at one time and then blame the advils. People do it with booze all the time

So basically ingesting an insecticide is good for you??? Pretty sure also my Grandmother told me not to eat the Laundry Detergent!

I fail to see the logic here.

Tell me in what foods it is found naturally and I will believe this, otherwise it seems like just another way to self-induce poisoning, just like they want...

Hydrogen peroxide is good for you too - your body produces it as an immune response in abundance to fight illness. You can ingest the food grade (35%) H202 when correctly diluted and as a part of a special plan - so I am told....

I've been taking 6-9mg for a few days and the effects have been positive. In addition to a milder versions of the positives described by freebornman, I'm also experiencing the alleviation of seemingly unrelated health concerns.

I was taking some magnesium and calcium and experiencing a lot of heart palpitations and twitching. My theory is that we need boron to put that into our bones (hence the alleviation of arthritis) and without it we get health concerns related to mag/cal accumulation in the wrong places.

In reply to the pessimists: most people today are pretty sick. Taking just boron will not change your life unless you've already fixed a lot of other issues people are afflicted with today, improved your diet and managed to reduce the stress on your body.

I personally follow Dr Wilson's advice. He's not always right but his advice has helped me so far. His website, drlwilson.com has considerable information. Take some of it with a pinch of salt.

Furthermore, it's important not to take this with a meal. Boron binds with vitamin b2 and finds its way out of your urine. www.ndhealthfacts.org... Original source www.ndhealthfacts.org... which I just bought

I used to take a Life Extension Super Multivitamin which included Boron with B2. I usually felt sleepy and lethargic afterwards. I suspect this was the reason why - b2 is key in the energy production process. Taking Boron with a meal is hence counterproductive. Best to take it on an empty stomach.

My own personal experience in taking Borax for 6 months now: (Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and in no way am saying you should try this. Research very carefully & decide for yourself like I did)

I take a daily excellent multi-vitamin with 0.7mg of Boron and a daily magnesium supplement with 1mg Boron. So my daily magnesium level is 400mg all together. I find this is enough Mag for me and I've stopped getting any new white hairs. 1.7mg of boron though is not enough for me. I take a tiny pinch of Borax with water in the morning and also at night. (Personally I think some people way overdose at the start. I would never drink this all day nor take a mass quantity of it.)

My improvements that I attribute to taking Borax internally in tiny doses:
- Eye floaties almost gone. Had them for years and were getting worse.
- Carpal tunnel-like pain is gone.
- Weak knees giving out randomly has stopped.
- Acid reflux hardly ever hits me any more (unless I absolutely stuff myself with unhealthy junk food which is rare)
- better sleep from the bedtime dose.
- wake up very energetic if I take a bedtime dose (drag the next morning if I forget)
- years of neck, spine and back pain from major car accidents....all gone. Back pain? Doesn't exist for me any more.
- Swollen joints in hand and ankles are greatly improved. Less desire for ankle & finger cracking.
- Numbness sometimes on the back of my head and prickles in extremities have not occurred at all on a few months.
- TMJ pain improving
- Dentist at my last x-Ray was impressed at my jaw bone density for a woman my age.
- increased strength & quicker exercise soreness recovery. Moved several large couches from my living room to the curb all by myself recently.
- Feel more alert.
- Migraines & headaches have decreased. My PMT is almost without symptoms or pain anymore.
- Gout-like pain in my foot is greatly reduced and not keeping me awake at night anymore.
- My blood sugar level feels more balanced. My cravings have decreased and I don't get the 2-3pm afternoon drop anymore.
- I used to need naps on the weekend but been finding the need to nap decreasing greatly.

I also find a tiny amount of borax water does wonders for my face and has eliminated years of acne & very oily skin. I think it also seems to slightly decrease wrinkles. I use it on my hair as a wash sometimes but find it makes my long hair very tangled afterward so I'm not sure yet on my opinion on it for a shampoo replacement.

Stronger borax water works wonders on the mold that tried to grow in my cellar after a recent flood. I used a lot but really shocking how in two days that nasty moldy smell totally left my cellar!
