IMHO - the meat of the story is the throwaway line in the last paragraph :

Pending an investigation, 10 officers have been placed on paid administrative leave.

following the link it gets rather bizzare , with the allegation tthat :

five Forest Grove police officers, four sheriff’s deputies and one Hillsboro police officer, not Cannon, are believed to have discharged their weapons.

cannon is charged with attempted murder - but didnt actually discharge his own weapon ???

any one else confused ?? i think i need to read a multi page report with chronology and balistics reports to get my head around this

there are no reports of injuries to the wife or any third party - so i want an explaination of who the victim of the murder attempt was
