War Thunder (free to play WW2 flight sim)

Never heard of this game until a buddy told me about it and It is great.
Forget world of warplanes (played the beta) this is much better and just so fun to play.

It is still in beta and soon they add ground war and sea battles.
It is like WOT but better.
Yesterday I was in my Russian Bi-plane and my engine and left rudder got shot down and had to try landing a broken plane...boy that was intense.
Anyhow try it out and I will meet you in the air.

Just to add more info.
You get nations trees which you level up and I for instance have gone with the Ruskies I have 6 planes in my bay 3 of them fighters and 3 attackers (they can carry 2 500lb bombs to bomb ground targets).
in arcade mode you fly all of them until they have been destroyed or the mission has ended.
You can upgrade your pilots and gunners skills as well as making your plane better with xp.
I hope more people get to play this game and support it because it is that good.
PS, the maps are huge I flew the opposite direction for 30 mins and got 50 miles away from the action

that looks pretty cool. i wish i had the hardware to play it, it reminds me of the red barron games from back in the day, i dont know if you remember,

but it was world war 1 bi-planes, there was even a tri-plan. it was sick

I have a 5 year old machine and it runs like a dream, I was reading the invented their own engine so try it out.

Oh and I just pumped a 11$ into the game and bought a Catalina (level 1 sea bomber)for 3$ and it is a must.

Thanks for the link. I have started downloading this game, says 10 hours, so while its downloading i have a few questions. Do i need a joystick? and if yes what would be the best joystick to buy. what is beta? i am 60 years old and do not have any friends who will play this game with me so if anyone wants to add me please send me your name so i can add you.

Oh and beta means it isn't the final product but it is one of the best betas I have played..

Looks really good do you know if this game is joy stick compatible ? I prefer to play flight games with a joy stick rather than keys.

yea..

I'm official addicted to this game.. i hate the matchmaking but, kinda understandable..

I play mostly on the US server
