Testimony is Evidence .

Thousands upon thousands worldwide and they are the ones with a problem .

What about the people with terminal cases of Denial ?

I'd call that a problem in the extreme ... You cant deal with reality ... OK

Just please stay away from dangerous objects for all our sakes .

Centcom much ..?

People claim Elvis is alive and that they've seen him. People believe a Jewish peasant with new age Assean beliefs was God and that he talks to them. People believe some batshìt crazy things. Truth, it does not make it. Testimony is to be considered....but is not the same as proof/evidence. Especially in the absence of actual evidence.

It would be a case of denial if there was actual proof of alien visitations. If there was proof...I'd be the first to applaud with excitement at the great scientific discovery.

He's a very factual person, and you have to admit he's got a pretty big point... There is no proof beyond anecdotes (and the veracity of the majority of them is sorely lacking) and for him anecdotes are simply not enough, he's not flat out saying its all a load of bunk.

Thing is, is if I was high tech alien race coming to make contact id prefer meeting someone that at least questioned me, rather than someone that would throw themselves at me and drag on my coat tails. Unless I specifically wanted to take advantage of someone like that in which case id hope there wasn't anyone like Unidentified_Objective around.

Yeah he's like salt on a wound quite often, but sometimes a little pain is a good thing.

I overheard two coworkers talking and one was relating about how he lost a few hours and had no idea what he did or where he went while in his car. I was intrigued and wanted to hear more since I had had an experience like that.
It turned out the two chuckleheads were talking about doing mushrooms and then joked that I must have been smoking somehting good, too.
I'd rather be called crazy than to have somebody assume that I was on drugs or on a mind altering substance.
But yes, I have a missing time experience. My twin brother and I missed a day of school and had no memory of what we did or where we went. We thought we had been in school although we had no real memory of specific events like classes or conversations. Our dad said he dropped us off as usual and said we didn't stay home or go anywhere with the family. You'd think the school would have called and asked where we were, which they did another time ( we cut a morning class to avoid a missed assignment and came up with a story of forgetting something and walking home for it). I wish I would have asked the school if they had called the house to ask where we were. So I have a feeling now that maybe the whole family was influenced or " taken".
My impression then was that we went to school and they grabbed us and hypnotized us and maybe had the entire school hypnotized somehow.I also felt a little uneasy about dangers to my parents and them being harmed.
I have no memories of aliens or spaceships. But I have a deep distrust of the government and think maybe they had something to do with it. Around then my friends and I noticed a car keeping tabs on us when we hung out together. It would show up down the street and wait for us to get out and then drive off. It followed a friend home, too. The MIB movie with the memory erasing light pen was unsettling and I hate that movie because of it. Maybe aliens are involved. I had a dream not long ago where government agents were holding us at our house and outside I saw Grays walking towards the house. I screamed in my dream " Oh No the Grays are back for us." and seemed to remember meeting them a long time ago. Then I woke up. I looke dup artist representations of them and one set looke dlike the ones in my dream. Not the small bulbous head ones but more man sized with almond eyes and a large but more flat head.
Now we're reading about mind control and sleeper agents and I wonder if some of these mass shootings aren't being set up and certain people aren't being groomed and controlled into doing them.

Ive never been abducted but i have met some unknown beings before.
I dont know how to describe their appearance as they where interdimentional at the time and where somewhat see through. They where very nice, sincere, and excited to see me.
They tried to help me somehow but i do not remember all that clearly.
All i really recall is their excitement and them speaking telepathically.

But I think we only get to remember what we're allowed.

This is what bugs me the most. Even though enough information was given to verify that it wasn't just imagination at play and although it checked out, the numerous questions remain. I tend to be very analytical on just about everything, I am a skeptic at heart, I always look for details to either corroborate or toss aside, I would say that I am a down to earth type of person. But the questions remain and the answers are few.

I also found that looking too deeply for answers just muddies the water. It is very easy to get confused by what is real and what is not, what stories are true and what stories are fabricated or exaggerated. I don't take anything at face value so right now, I'm just like a sitting duck. I simply wait.

Ever seen the Species movies series? If you have you know that they explain that the alien parasite uses the human host to find a mate that is beneficiary to it.

This means valuable dna that is not riddled with possible deficiencies. I would say this is a clue to how Aliens decide who they abduct. And if this is true find the people with the best genes to pass on.

Ordinarily one might expect this but if you examine those credible claims of abduction you find the people are not exceptional in any way and they are not prime physical or mental specimens. I think malleability of mental state might be a factor. Who they feel they CAN manipulate without trouble.

I tend to take checklists with a grain of salt, but I did answer yes to all 49 of these.

I have been having abduction experiences since I was a toddler, the most recent being an experience of losing an hour last year. I went outside with my dog to take it to the toilet, it was 3:47am, and it was raining. While I was in my backyard out of nowhere a sound that can only be compared to a blowtorch, roared above my head. I hit the ground as you would if you'd heard a gun shot. This was the first time in my life I have ever hit the ground for any noise. I jumped up, and couldn't find any source of the noise, let alone a source that was directly above my head. When I went inside, the clock read 4:47am. I know for a fact that I did not stand in the rain for an hour so my dog could have a wee. I currently live in a medium sized rural town, and I am on the outskirts, on a hill that over looks pasture land and faces towards the East coast. A few weeks before I had gone outside at a similar time of night, and saw an explosion of light in the sky, basically a stationary white ball of light that appeared to explode, and then blinked out, it then became a black object (darker than the sky) that shot straight up in the sky at high speed and disappeared. There was no apparent trajectory to its route, it went straight up. As recently as a month ago I awoke to find a puncture wound on my upper right arm, that took about ten days to fade, it was hard and raised and the hole was quite large. Normally when I find marks on my body, they are finger print bruises around my wrists.

Most of my experiences are either of seeing ufos, or being 'put back'. My most interesting experience of being put back was when I lived in The Dandenongs, in Victoria a few years ago. The region was an abduction hot spot, and most locals had a story, either their own or a friend's or relative's. I didn't know this until after my experience. I lived in a tri-level house that backed onto bushland. My bedroom was alone on the third level, and there was no street view from this part of the property, nor access for car lights. I woke up in the early hours, I don't know the time, but I would guess around 3ish. I woke up to find myself floating over the back garden, the wall between my bedroom and the rest of the house was not present and I was surrounded by green light. First I was hovering over the ferns, then I came closer into the house and was over the patio, and then I was placed back on my bed but could still see through the wall, and through my bed to downstairs. Once everything became solid I lept out of my bed. My room should have been pitch black as I am photosensitive so I have heavy curtains which makes it very dark at night. But I could see everything in my room, as it was illuminated with green light without a source. There was a loud sound above my head that sounded similar to helicopter blades, but louder. The reason I describe it like blades is because it was a rotating sound. I ran out of my room and down my stairs to the floor below. I stood at the bottom not knowing where to go or what to do, as I looked up the stairs at my bedroom doorway, I could see my room was still glowing green. I could still hear the motorised rotational sound above my head, and I stood there as it got quieter, the light dimmed, and I heard it 'fly' away. I say fly away because I could hear it travel away, just as you would a car driving off down the road, but faster and above me.

These are only a few amongst many experiences I've had my entire life. There have been so many that I no longer sleep at night, I find I don't get 'harassed' if I remain conscious during the night hours... well unless you count going in the backyard, that didn't seem to work.

That's an absolutely fascinating story, SonoftheSun!!!

I applaud you for posting it!
I have told some of my paranormal stories on my thread (in my signature), so I know how it feels to reach down and pull out the courage to post such things for strangers to read about very personal events that happened to us.
Even though your thread was in 2010, I gave you a S&F just for having the courage to share it!

That's hardly a fair reaction because what Unidentified said is true. What we have is anecdotal evidence, witness testimony that people are being physically abducted by an alien race.

For those that say witness testimony is good enough in a court of law to convict somebody of murder it should be understood that witness testimony is one piece of the case along with forensic, corroborating, circumstantial evidence plus motive, oppurtunity etc, etc.A case based solely on a witness statement wouldnt go to court as it isn't safe enough by itself to prosecute let alone convict someone in a court of law precisely because it is well understood how unreliable memory and perception of an event can be,even when someone is being 100% honest and relating what they truly believe they saw.It will always be subjective and by definition isn't objective.

Admittedly there is an incredible amount of testimony but that isn't objective evidence of alien abduction which is the point he is making.Without and until solid evidence is available it is open to question what exactly is going on.

I'm not saying it isn't happening, something is clearly happening but whether that is genuine abduction,a psychological experience or something else it's yet to be determined fully.

I did the test and am 57% likely to have been abducted but am as near 100% certain as I possibly can be that I've never been abducted by aliens but I freely admit that I've had a number of paranormal experiences I cannot to this day explain or find a rational explanation for.And believe me I've tried and tried to !!!

To throw away our reason, rationality and dare I say it,the word that seems to be a target of scorn these days, scepticism robs us of one of our finest tools our ability to think, analyse, rationalise and find the truth.

Nobody is suggesting that people are liars, attention seekers, mad or stupid as that is clearly NOT the case but there are some differences of opinion, experience and belief between many who are abducted that the it seems the full truth of the matter is yet to be uncovered.

Some say it's alien, some demons, some it's an enlightening experience while others believe the intent is evil. Some believe there's a plan to hybridise, some that we're being helped to evolve, prepared for admittance to our gallactic future while others think were being subjigatea and enslaved so there is clearly a lot yet to be determined.

Are all abductions by a single alien civillisation for A particular purpose or by several factions with various different motives ???

To shoot down someone who approaches it with reason,a realistic perspective and healthy scepticism is,to my mind the wrong approach. It's how I look at the whole question with a healthy scepticism yet open minded too.

I think all the rational and psychological avenues should be explored first and if they are genuinely eliminated then there ip something truly happening which we need to uncover. What and especially why.I'm sure the majority of abductees do attempt to work out what exactly happening but implanted and false memory seems to be a consistant feature making the facts hard to pin down solidly.

Suggesting that an 'outside' objective outlook from a non abductee is motivated by fear of the old order changing,an inability to accept the new paradigm is nearly as narrow minded as stating abductees are just loonies and drama queens.

Speaking for myself I'm not going to just believe something as momentous as alien civilisations truly visit earth and have an as yet unkown agenda with humanity simply because people say so.No more than I would simply buy what the government tells me or what I hear on the news.I apply some critical thinking, make up my own mind based on as many sources, experience, gut feelings and so on.

I've no personal experience with abduction or know anybody who has so,tbh I don't know what to think.Somethings happening to make so many state they've been abducted but what, the jury's still out.

You are right thou,we're probably not ready as a species for contact. It is fear but fear of thinking for ourselves, fear of standing out from the crowd that inflicts so many. That's what makes people tribal, breeds racism, homophobia, makes people irrational and aggressive and all those other fine traits we humans display.

If I was E.T I'd be very cautious about direct dealings with man making sure the humans were controlled and isolated when I was around them

This ex Sargent Commander who worked with UFO studies for NATO probably won't convince you either, but here it is... REAL evidence, if you care to take a look.

The introduction is not in English, but Mr. Robert Dean does speak English when he comes on stage.

The Dandenongs are indeed a sightings and abduction hot-spot! One of my favourite cases Kelly Cahill comes immediately to mind as a very important account in Australian UFO folklore. Not just for the trace evidence but also for the fact that more than one car-load of people were abducted, all having no prior knowledge of each other until researchers put all the pieces together. Everybodies stories were consistent with each others.

I thought I'd point you in the direction of my multiple UFO sighting which I had with my girlfriend and other witnesses back in the early 90's. It has connections to the Dandenongs and was the same year of Kellys abduction experience.

Linky Here

Welcome to ATS too MissTaken. You should make yourself an introductory thread. I think you need about 20 posts before you can author a thread in the regular forums.

Yes! I was living on the same road that the Kelly Cahill incident occurred. I saw numerous ufos while there, my house was on a part of the road that was a hill, and one of the ufos I witnessed flying over (a low flying, silent ball of light) caused a truck to stall as it climbed up the hill in front of my house, and as soon as the ufo passed, the truck roared to life again. It didn't even sound like it was started with an ignition, it was just off and then it was on again at full revs with no lull. While the ufo passed over there was no sound from the truck, no struggling to get the engine to turn over, just dead silence.

Whilst living in that area I met a number of people who had been taken. One was walking home on the main road of Tecoma, another lived in a shared household where everyone in the house was taken one night, and I also met a family who was regularly taken, and they were having a really positive experience, their kids loved it. I spoke to the children who were roughly 5 and 12, and they had no fear at all.

I love that your experience was during daylight, I would have loved to have seen something like that! I've only had one daytime experience, and that was when I was 7 (1985). I was sitting with my friend in the front yard of her house in Chelmer in Brisbane. We looked up from the trampoline because a silent black 'plane' was hovering over us. It was very low in the sky, so low in fact that I went home and drew it in detail for my Dad. The only time I've seen something so low in the sky was when watching a low flying helicopter doing water dumps on a fire. Anyway, it was one of those classic black triangle ufos, with a red light in each corner. I was not a kid who grew up allowed to watch scifi, I had no reference point for what I saw except I was seeing a silent black triangle plane that hovered low in the sky. It arrived slowly, and it left slowly. This would have been mid afternoon in broad daylight. I didn't really know about UFOs back then, I went home and told my Dad about the black plane that hovered over me - I assumed it must have been something belonging to the airforce. I know some people call these sightings plasma, but this was as solid and real looking as any other plane in the sky.

Thanks for the welcome, I shall head on over to the intro section

While I have no memory of ever being taken or anything like that, I got 46.9% and probably could have answered more 'yes' if I wasn't trying to be conservative. I have seen a UFO in broad daylight, and as a child experienced some terrifying hauntings in the home I was raised. I never connected these things. Also, at about 5 years old I found myself sitting on the side porch steps looking down at a scooped out wound on my right thigh around a quarter inch in diameter and just as deep. There was no blood, just pink flesh. I never told anyone.

Also, I wake up to bloody pillowcases all the time.

Definitely a very active area... though I have not heard of much activity from there of late. Admittedly, I've been out of the local loop for a few years now. I let my membership of VUFORs lapse. I should take another look into the area again.

This was taken in Dandenong last year though a quick look at it would suggest an RC plane... though I could be wrong, they look exactly like that. Interesting though.

At that distance it's really anyone's guess. The ones I saw in that area were pretty big, but the movement on the one in the vid could go either way. Curiouser and curiouser!

I have always been more than a little reluctant to share anything of this nature with anyone.
There is really only one other person on this planet that I have ever opened up to about my experiences. They know only "half-truths". I applaud those who have come forth and faced the ridicule of those who have NOT experienced anything.

With that being said, I scored a 100% on Homers little test...
My earliest memories are from the very young age of 4. They came on a regular basis. I use to get the sensation that I could swim through the air. I would be taken to a very bright room and placed on a table. There was a few times that I seen my sister there. She would be laying on the table next to me. They weren't interested in her, but they were interested in my connection to her and with her. We aren't twins but were always close growing up. I am the youngest of 6 children. I would comfort her and tell her that it won't last long because she would always be crying and scared. I used to think (when I reached late teens/early 20's) that it was just a recurring nightmare.

Once I was on the table, looking up, I was blinded by the bright lights. And to this day, vacuum cleaners scare the crap out of me. Something would come down that looked like crystals with needles and pointy shaped things on the ends of them. And I would hear what I associated with a vacuum cleaner. Then pain, then I would wake up. I would awake in some of the darndest places. And I would be rocking...still rocking to this day.

My experiences have never stopped. They have followed me everywhere I have moved. And they have continued with my children. I have been pregnant 4 times and have only 2 children. The other two both suddenly became "non-viable" at 11 1/2 weeks. An empty womb on ultrasound. I am not crazy and they are not unstable. I am in my 40s now and my children are adults. We all continue to experience things.

Yep... I can only go on the gut feeling I got immediately.. which is the same for everyone. We may just find different conclusions. I try to eliminate the prosaic firstly and if the subject matter, a video in this case, survives those rigours, then I find it more and more compelling. As it stands, lights in the sky are hard to decipher at the best of times.
