I'm sure i'm not the only person on this forum who is attempting to open more eyes to the true reality that is our planet, and not the MSM fed lies, on a regular basis i will post stuff on social networking website, to try and open just one pair of eye, which could in turn have a chain reaction type effect, but i cannot.

What i am asking, is that someone who is used to doing this, to give me/us all some pointers, how can we open those eyes who's owner refuses to open? I fear we are too late and will not be able to open the eyes of the 99%

I'd be interested to hear people different techniques in getting the attention and subsequent brain-funtion of the sheeple realizing their true reality.

...how can we open those eyes who's owner refuses to open?

Have you ever known anyone in your life who no matter what you told them they just wouldn't believe it - if the information came from you?

Doesn't' matter what - directions to a restaurant, the best a new type of headache medicine or car, the 'real truth' - whatever - they’re just not going to take your word for it?

But! If someone else tells them the same exact thing they’re all over it like white on rice?

That’s the way it is sometimes. It’s personal dynamics. You’re not failing to give the right info, the true info, you’ve got good intent and you’re persistent. But all that doesn’t matter if someone isn’t going to listen to you.

Sometimes all we can do is ‘plant the seed’ as they say - and then move on to someone else. You can’t spend all your energy on the ones who’ll not believe you no matter what - when there’s a whole bunch of people out there who are willing to be open and honest and listen.

Some people are terrified. The only ‘weapon’ they can wield with any grace at all is ignorance, so they chose to remain so.

Good Luck!

peace

If you are telling things people don't want to hear you have to do it subtly or they will ignore you or get angry at you. Small facts, a bit at a time, slipped into other discussions.

You also have to have some credibility with your audience to start with or your task is hopeless.

If you discredit the messenger you neutralise the message, no matter how important or true the message is. Its why ad hominem attacks are so prevalent. It works very well.

Thanks for the quick reply! Great point to bring up, those who wont listen untill someone else tells them too, sounds like half my friend list!

I must have posted over 30-40 links to genuine, factual information that could enlighten anyone, but they generally lack replies, really angers me as i'll see a link to a justin bieber website with 10s of replies in a minute... I really think we are too far gone

Another great point, do you find yourself in a similar position ? I've discovered recently that people literally refuse to believe what isn't in the MSM, its depressing but at the same time hilarious as they are fools lead by fools

The idea you give is quite good, but i generally avoid Christians in person, they refuse to believe anything not in their holy book, my time is wasted on them

That's not true. I'm christian and I'm here too. There are "who knows how many" christians ATS members.

Closed minds are closed minds, regardless their religion.

Actually, your opinion shows you need to expand your knowledge.

Like Michael Jackson, "start with the man in the mirror".

I wasn't meaning to coat all christians the same way, just in my experience i get absolutely no reaction when trying to enlighten a Christian,

I'm going to respond, because I'm quite partial to freaks
it's one of my things...I don't have to explain myself.

We all have stories to tell, and insights to share, that is why ATS exists, so some can vent and others can take advantage, still others learn and the rest veg = simbiotic sweet freaky thing let it rip!
don't forget the fifth, sixth, seveth, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc you continue as required, as you please....of course...there are no limits.

but really..... in all seriousness....

If it is absolutely fundamental to the importance of the continuence of this thing we call the all, then it will go where it needs to and not where it shouldn't.
Get it?
got it?
Good.

share....please...don't fluff around.
Be brave, I'm positive my friends on ats will look after your thoughts for you in a kindly manner expected of something so important.
eh?

Not preaching, just gentle and subtle reminders...

The way you deliver a message is important. You just said you wasted your time with christians. I wonder if you said that to anybody who refused to listen to you.

Light will reach those who are looking for it, not the ones you choose.

[]No one really listens to anyone else, and if you try it for a while you'll see why. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Second Neurotic's Notebook, 1966

After many years upon this earth, this above quote says it all for me. Unfortunately, we all must make our own path.

Most people don't care what's going on in the larger world; they don't care who's in charge; they certainly don't care about the day-to-day details of how their world is run.

They think they know how things work--because the mainstream media pre-digests it for them and tells them how to think. When they get upset the MSM distracts them with celebrity worship. If that doesn't work, the MSM has instructions to scare them back into their hiding places.

And above all, when things go really wrong, the MSM tells them who's to blame. But no need to worry: Their Masters are handling it. Nothing to see here; return to your homes; we'll keep you safe and secure; we're on it!

They already know what's going on. The problem is you--messing with their Normalcy Bias....

Hmmmmmm.....

I think it's too late for much of humanity, especially the Americans. Operation Fast and Furious happens, Benghazi, then Gun Control and no one even blinks or questions. I promise you, the media could come on TV and say that Elmo ( Sesame Street character ) was the shooter in the Sandy Hook shooting and that he used a potato gun, and somehow the masses would not question it. That's a much exaggerated example of how basically it doesn't matter what the masses here, they are not very questioning.

For me, the question is - At what point do people not believe the official story and become outraged? I made a thread here about how once the coming gun control is implemented ( wether that be a ban on automatic firearms ban completely on firearms - though now it is looking like only a ban on a loose, incorrect, definition on what is 'assault weapons' ) once that is made into law it should be such a grand and huge undeniable move by the government that a HUGE majority of people will make a step towards enlightenment on the true stance of the American government... NOW, I am not so sure about that. Now, I am begining to think that toothpaste could be banned, on some false trumped up statements by the media that toothpaste is harmful to health, and I am pretty certain the masses would in one day stop using toothpaste forever. Again, that's another fictional example to elaborate just how amazing what is going on should be to anyone watching!

So... As for 'what to do' .... The problem lay in the people, mostly the American people because America is the super power of the world and essentially to overthrow the corrupt America would be to destablize pretty much all of the corruption around the entire planet, though I don't mean to say that other countries contain their own centralized and organized corrupt/secret power structures - or that secret power structures within America do not have 'stations' in other countries that could continue the agenda. I just mean if there ever were a country to focus on, I would say the first and most key element would be America - to enlighten the people of America in such a way that those pulling the strings would no longer have a sheeple-work-force that would believe their lies or do their dirty work.

Because of that, I feel that changing power structures, changing corruption in government, none of that will work. That is like pulling a weed.. Another weed will pop up in it's place and you'll be pulling weeds forever. Instead we should focus on the people, which I can see with the original post in this thread you already agree and are focusing on "how can we get people to listen".. Which is why I wanted to respond because I feel like I am also thinking along very similiar lines... Just what in the hell to do at this point? And I do feel like it IS too late, actually..

Being right is not that the message is right. Good intentions makes sometimes the most boring films, too.
How to get the message through is a creative art-form, but there are also rougher means to it. Look how the mainstream media does it. They get to emotions first. Fear, hate, envy and greed are accompanied with pounding simplified reasoning, that will answer the void for explanation. This works best in a lessened-secure mindset, right at the start of a crisis.
