Assault weapon....a weapon you can use to assault somewhere...to me a AR15 comes into this category..

Ar 15's can be modded to Auto fire, but that's not the problem really...it's how fast your finger can pull that trigger...
what really is the difference between auto and semi auto,,a couple of seconds...Pffft

if Private Pyle here was wearing a Shamagh he would have emptied the place and you would not have felt so comfortable around him, without the headscarf some people didn't see a threat...really...was McVey wearing a Shamagh, do most gun nut jobs in the USA wear Shamaghs...No....you dont know what anyone is prepared to do so why take the risk...

He should have been tackled to the ground and held until the Police arrived.....then had his gun licence revoked...because he's an Idiot...

This may be the stupidest thing I've ever seen posted on ATS.

why???

Do everyone a favor. Research the assertions you made in your own post. The one I referenced as being retarded (which it was). Then get back to us with what you found out.

No, because you sound like you would give up your Kids before your Guns...Not interested....

Everyone not following ATS's T&Cs should really consider cooling down...

I forsee a Mod or two, cruising by, imminently, if the mud slinging continues...

Now, please elaborate on the "head shape" comment and tell me how accurate that "science" is...

please, say more ... it only emphasizes the obvious

he is an American with guts ... you wouldn't even be an American so what does it matter what you'd do ?

no, not daft ... that'd be deft, especially when speaking with those of limited ability and vocabulary

no, i wouldn't make such a suggestion as i believe ppl of your caliber should simply cower ... it's what they do best.

This is why you and your kind, like the guy in the picture, are absolutely insane.

"an american with guts"

That makes him right?

He puts on his gun and goes to the mall because 'he has guts". never mind how anyone else feels about it, because he is a freedom loving american and to hell with what anyone else thinks.

Sad...

A world where everyone thinks they need to be armed to defend themselves against everyone else is an ugly world...

don't follow ya here ... what does being an American have to do with being absolutely insane ?

don't you realize, we Americans could say the same about Canadians but of course, we insane folk hold and demonstrate higher standards

no, that doesn't make him right, his proper actions are exercising his right ... get it ?

no, he called ahead and prepared.
how anyone else 'feels' isn't his responsibility.
ensuring his own safety and those in his company, is.

no one says you can't think it or talk about it but don't expect any reasonable American to agree with it, k ?

hmmm, i'm a firm believer that an armed society is a polite society ... how's yours ??

(if you're commentary here is any indication, i'll pass, thanks)

Aren't you a smart one. I wouldn't give up either. I'm afforded the right to firearms to help protect my family. The fact my posts are removed for calling stupid people stupid, yet assertions like this are a-okay....don't get it...

lol. u read good.

I said "This is why you and your kind, like the guy in the picture, are absolutely insane. "

Where, exactly , does that imply that Americans are insane??

If your going to speak the language, you might as well at least TRY and understand it?

no, that doesn't make him right, his proper actions are exercising his right ... get it ?

ummm.... no.

no, he called ahead and prepared.
how anyone else 'feels' isn't his responsibility.

ahahahahahaha. Right on, nobody elses opinion matters, he called ahead and PREPARED, now bringing a weapon into JC penny just makes sense! I'm sure he felt his life was in danger..... right?

hmmm, i'm a firm believer that an armed society is a polite society ... how's yours ??

Yep, we've all heard the buzzword of the week, thanks for regurgitating the media message.... still doesn't make any sense.

Ya know, its not always about you, or the anti-american BS you so admire. Bringing a weapon to JC penny may seem cool, and sure you can come up with a bunch of really poor arguments like "he's got guts" or "hes protecting himself from the women around him that are 1/4th of his size buying miniskirts".... but in the end he is an instigator, doing what he's doing for his own self-obsorbed paranoid reasons.

All of this applies to you, too.

Because what your doing is opportunistic pandering to an ignorant segment of the population that will take to heart whatever BS they happen to read on the internet or see on Fox News.

So, say what you want, but if you actually truly believe that every person who goes to the mall would be responsible to arm themselves with a deadly weapon, then you are truly a lost cause. I find it hard to believe that any rational thinking person would believe that, so I'm forced to the conclusion that you truly are pandering.

Because what your suggesting is "right"... is wrong. period.

"we" dont live in anything.... YOU live in it. If you think you live in that world, then.... case and point. I'm sure this speaks to how the rest of you "passionate gun owners" feel.

Not that most of you probably have guns, or are old enough to buy guns. So afraid of the government, your fellow humans, and anyone else ATS and Fox teach you to fear... that you think everyone should be armed.

Right on, logic..... rather then disarmament, why dont we just arm everyone? then we'll all be safe!

depends on the mall

We had a shooting at the Eaton's Centre in toronto a few months back...

We dont avoid the mall. We don't all bring guns to the mall.

Security forces up their strength, the people stay diligent, law enforcement cracks down... and we all hope for the best.

Less guns, not more.

The world is not always a safe place... but we're all working on it. The last thing humanity needs is an entire race of people to be armed to the teeth for fear of their neighbours and government. That is no way to live...

I dont know how this is so hard to understand.

It IS an ugly world...always has been and still is today. I don't fear anything except loss of freedom and justice that disarmament brings with it. I realize that self defence is the resposibility of no one but yourself. I live in the real world that is and has always been. I'm not sure what world you think you are living in...the one where governments never abuse their people no doubt.

Your logic is twisted.

I live in the real world. A world where people are generally good, the government's intentions are as true as we can reasonably expect them to be, and where my freedoms are guaranteed whether or not im clutching an assault rifle between my fingers.

THAT is the real world. Not the world you live in, where the government is always on the verge of throwing you in an internment camp, and where your neighbours are always about to kick in your door and wave a gun in your face.

Your fear is the only reason you can think of to hold on to your weapon... and it is irrational fear born out of paranoia.

If you can't see that, then I feel sorry for you.

hmmmm, thanks
... it's depressing to see you struggle.

so, let's try this again ... you said "you and your kind, like the guy in the picture" ... and i said ... are all Americans, so how are we 'absolutely insane' ??
now please, substantiate your claim, don't deflect.

If your going to speak the language, you might as well at least TRY and understand it?
that's good advice, you should take it

well then, perhaps you should try harder.

there is 'right and wrong' which are subjective and then there are 'rights', which he is exercising.
whether anyone finds his exercise 'right or wrong' is irrelevant.
it is his right and a specifically protected one at that.

no, it was a planned political statement ... what about that don't you understand ?

it wasn't intended to 'make sense', it's a fact.
aside from Utah, see Vermont, Kennesaw GA or TX for examples.

not this again ???
... well, ok, let's play ...

Ya know, its not always about you, or the anti-american BS you so admonish.

Bringing a weapon to JC penny may seem cool, and sure you can come up with a bunch of really poor arguments like "he's got guts" or "hes protecting himself from the women around him that are 1/4th of his size buying miniskirts".... but in the end, he is a proud, American patriot, doing what he's doing for his own personal reasons which are ultimately, none of your business.
thanks for playing
