I wish I had such a warm and fuzzy picture of the NWO, but there's a much darker agenda at hand and I'm sorry some can't see the forest for the trees... yet.

I also think all this is just a way for Obama to stir everybody up so that gun sales increase and therefore increase the economy. People (doomsdayers) will start stocking up even more. Going to shoot our way out of the fiscal cliff and he'll be praised. So "Go buy 'em up"

You sir, have absolutely no understanding of the second amendment. I suggest you read it carefully. The second amendment was written to protect the citizens from the government. I also suggest you spend some time studying Thomas Jefferson and the other founding fathers and their opinions of an armed citizenry. We are not "Muricans with guns." We are Armericans who love our form of government as it was originally concieved, rather the the atrocity it has become.

The Amendment's text does justify a different limitation: the "right to keep and bear arms" protects only a right to possess and use firearms in connection with service in a state-organized militia. Had the Framers wished to expand the meaning of the phrase "bear arms" to encompass civilian possession and use, they could have done so by the addition of phrases such as "for the defense of themselves. So why didnt they? Maybe because they never intended it to mean that.

the 47 states have not even revolted in a way that matters. They must take it to the next step.

Your thread title is a little misleading. SOME PEOPLE in 47 states object to Obama's proposed gun control measures, not 47 whole states. In many of those states the objectors are in the extreme minority.

IMO most rational people recognize that some sane measures need to be taken.

Where I live in the US, guns are basically outlawed anyways. But, they are kind of common in my hood. There wil always be a black market.

When will everyone realize that guns are not right. Do you believe in Jesus or Buddha, etc? If so, would they carry guns or weapons?? Would they fight and KILL for protection?? NO. Honestly Nobody life is worth more than another person's life. We are all equal. No matter how bad or messed up, or criminal you are, we are all the same. No one deserves to die. Everyone needs help, and some need help more than others.

That person that tries to rob you. Perhaps they are poor and hungry and that's all they know (Go see the movie Les Miserables, and about forgiveness with the criminal Jean Valjean). Perhaps they need whatever they stole from you, more than what you do. Perhaps you give it to them, and ask if they need more.

Guns only begat more violence. All it takes is for someone with an anger problem to then feel that they can take another's life, and then they can do it easily.

We as americans are addicted to POWER. Having a gun provides a false sense of POWER. Which means those who own guns are WEAK. You can't solve your problems with words, or your hands, that you must take a weapon. WEAK. We as americans are FEARFUL. Why are you so scared of your fellow man, that you need to own a killing machine? Do you need to own NUKES as well? for proection? At what point, do you stop being SCARED, and face the truth of reality, and help your fellow human.

We all need help. We must all choose NOT to be SCARED. Be strong, without a weapon. Help those that transgress against you. Solve your problems with your fellow man. Stop trying to be BETTER than anyone else. We are all the same.

Just like Slavery was WRONG. Gun ownership is wrong as well. Yes in the 1600's and 1700's and 1800's, slavery was OK, and so was guns. Because we hadn't EVOLVED far enough consciously yet. Hopefully by now, in the year 2013, we will WAKE UP and expand our consciousness to know that slavery is bad, as well as having an easy killling machine such as a gun is wrong. Not one life should be taken no matter how bad they are. enlighten one another, and realize you are only as strong as your weakest link. Think about the homeless and the less fortunate than your self.

A good man with a fist may kill one or two before being tackled. A good man with a knife may cause a lot of blood but maybe only 2-3 people before he gets tackled. however a good man with a gun can kill 20 people in a less than a minute. Does that seem right to you? What are you scared of? FACE YOUR FEAR. head on.

When the POWER of LOVE, overcomes the love of power, the WORLD will know PEACE.

No. You have the right to bear arms. You have the right to own guns. You do not have the right to own any and all weapons. It's honestly bizarre to me that people think they can own whatever weapon they want. I know a guy here in TX who thinks he should be able to own a nuclear weapon. The pro gun lobby needs to wake up and understand how crazy some of their ideas sound.

My gun has no hatred for anyone, My gun is indiscriminate whether you be a 2 year old that picks it up or a grown ass man capable of logical thought, or someone who is psychologically unfit. Point being: Until a human being gets behind the sights it is just an instrument. It should be used for protection. Protection from a tyrannical GVMT, protection from the rapist lurking behind the bushes, protection from the man who just shot and robbed the store next to my house, protection from the man who tries and bring harm to my brothers. I am a very peaceful person but i also know that many others are not, and will arm myself to the teeth for the fight against anything that means to bring harm to me or anyone else i know. If i lay my rifle in the corner for 100,000 years it will rust to the ground, be consumed back to the earth each mineral in every orifice in every crack of the instrument will be consumed by the dirt and in that time frame it will never take a human life as long as a human doesn't pick it up. Humans are the problem not the guns.

Yes. Indeed, your forefathers also gave you the right to have bazookas and rocket launchers. In fact, in order to protect yourself against any tyrannical government, the 2nd amendment should also allow you to have EMPs; indeed, nuclear weapons themselves and any other advanced weaponry that exists today. Why stop there? You should also be allowed to purchase WMDs!

The fact of the matter is, your guns are petty and silly. If the government really wanted to become totalitarian and tyrannical, I'm sure they could use some sort of device to incapacitate the entire population, stop the water, stop the food and simply have the army stroll in without any resistance, with no citizen able to grab their gun because they're busy writhing on the floor from a government device that rendered them so.

Oh, 'Muricans and their guns. The only thing it protects you from is from another gun-wielding maniac and even that's not guaranteed.
