I gave up McD's 25 yrs ago and decided to have a burger a year ago because I needed a quick meal. Results? Vomiting within 30 minutes.

Holy Drama Queen...and Super Size Me already covered that.

But still Jude, you did your part, as this is a great example of those that will compromise their positions for instant gratification...in other words - a perfect example of the fast food nation.

Thanks OP for bringing this to light.

I believe I'll let you have that title as you really needed to respond to a truthful statement with your own drama.

ATS members can't even share their own experiences without ridicule anymore due to replies like this one.

I have a 2 for 1 big mac deal that I got in the mail. You're welcome to it.

Do they still advertise as 100% Beef?
If so then they can be sued.

I have no issues with people eating horse, dog or what have you but if it states Beef then it should be Beef!

Not really, 100% beef is used in the process. They start with 100% beef then they add a bunch of stuff. If people could sue over that then it would have happened long ago, the bun and lettuce are not beef either.

You know what I like about these countries?

They care enough about their citizens to want to protect their health by banning harmful chemical junk.

What do we get from our USDA??
"Oh it's safe, have no worries."

We travel a lot and will stop at a fast food to use the rest room or get a soda and there is one place that really bothers us......

And that is Wendy's.

Usually when you go in a place you can smell food cooking but not at Wendy's. Since they renovated their restaurants they stink like a dirty locker room or unclean mop water. But it's at most of them so I'm wondering why no food smell?

My husband and I wonder what is in the food and why it has no yummy, stomach tantalizing smell.
Definitely does not help one's appetite, that's for sure....

i have a very acute sense of smell.. and what i smell at and around these fast food places is none other than raw sewerage. it makes me feel to puke when i pass by kfc, mcd etc. they all carry the same distinct sewerage smell. i cant even date a girl that eats the stuff as id consider her disgusting. what happened to a good home cooked meal anyway. i dont know bout any of u but home cooked meals are the absolute best!

Russia is really strict with their food regulations unlike the U.S. The USDA is corrupt, bought off nowadays it would seem by these big companies to sit back and pay no mind.

I was reading a thread today where people in the uk were praising horse meat.
I don't want to try it but another side of me says it's just food.
I can't really get anywhere on a cow so i think i will ride my horse.

So is the FDA and the EPA....

"Sure, keep on spraying corexit in the Gulf of Mexico to clean up the oil even tho it's proven to be harmful. Now we have deformed sea life and people with respiratory problems. Oh well, that's our caring loving government for ya..." [cough ** cough]

Hell, all the alphabet groups are corrupt and dangerous IMO.

I just seen a report coming out of Ireland that said they have found traces of horse meat in what is supposed to be beef patties
Out of the 27 that they tested, 10 of them came back positive. I know that it isn't McRibs etc but it just goes to show that we don't know squat about what is going into our food.

well heres the deal, the price for organic meats and vegies is ludicrous and if horse meat organic style is cheap then i'll eat it, same goes for goat and camel, gator, croc etc.
its time people start looking for alternate sources of food that arnt contaminated with chemicals.

I wouldn't bother mate, it's bloody 'orrible.

Old knackered horses end up in dog food for a reason...it's spew worthy.

On holiday in Egypt once, we ordered fillet steak at a restaurant...it was donkey. (we say a donkey's head on a butchers hook hanging around the back of the place).

To be honest, i spent most of that holiday sitting on the toilet...ah memories.

The thing about McD's, at least in the UK (it's cheaper in the US) is it is actually bloody expensive for a family to eat there.

For the price you pay for a meal for four, you could literally feed your family healthy, tasty, wholesome and nutricious food for at least 2 days, often 3 days...i know, i'm the cook in my house, and i do the food shopping (my Mrs would burn a salad)

I suppose people just can't be bothered to cook for themselves anymore, so they eat crap from these junk food shops instead.

The meat glue thing is real BTW...i bought a few steaks from a well known supermarket here (begins and ends in an A) and it was NOT a real steak, the meat grain was going in all different unnatural directions and could be pulled apart at the join.

Won't be buying our steaks there anymore.
