Anyone use electronic cigarettes?

I am not looking to quit and I know it is bad for me. Just looking for any ATS members out there who have switched from regular cigarettes to "e-cigs".

Brand I'm looking at is Blu but I feel like they have a their own work force out there giving them great reviews, literally every site I try to find reviews of them on has pretty much a 99.99% positive rating. Has anyone tried these what do you think? I'll be picking up a disposable one next pay check before I decide to make the jump.

I have tried one brand called Square88 but seems cheap and I myself have not really taken a liking to it.

Any suggestion would be welcome, for some background I am a pack a day smoker who prefers Marlboro 100's.

I use Blu. They are pretty good. They have great flavor and a nice vapor experience. The only problem I have with them is sometimes they burn your throat when the cartridge gets low. But cigarettes do the same thing so.........

That is encouraging to hear, may I ask how heavy a smoker you were? Also the site says the cartridges last for pretty much a full pack, would you call that accurate? Lol and another, how do you know when you are good? I'm scared I'll just puff on it all day long.

Volcano Lava Tube.. Best I have tried! I have tried several brands over the last couple of years and there are still a lot I want to try, that have great reviews within the vape community. So far my favorite is the lavatube though with a bottle of Choconilla Haze! Also a made by Volcano..

My husband has a blu in his pocket right now!

I don't smoke cigs but I even took a puff off the blu and enjoyed,but that's just because I don't smoke I guess. Haha

The blu has helped him stop smoking real cigarettes, so that's a plus.

I just wonder how long he will be on the e-cig?

I never cared for them outside of the flavored oils (toffee,cherry, etc), but after reading THIS STORY, I threw mine away for good.

I realize this was a freak accident, but still....

Yeah I'm just a bit scared to make the jump and honestly I am a big fan of the flavor of Marlboros, my addiction is pretty much hand to mouth and flavor. I'm looking for something close to my usual. Also looking to pay a little bit less a month but at $80 for a starter kit I really wanna see what real people similar to me say about making the switch.

Seems even here on ATS though people are saying good things maybe all those reviews were true.

I did make the switch and have never smoked a normal cig since ....
loved the electric cigs ... went from about 25 cigs a day to zero instantly ...
got into the elec one in a big way ... got all the different flavours etc .... love the coconut ...
a much cleaner nicer delivery method for nicotine ..... zero tar .. its the tar that kills ya

The large ones do last all day and I actually smoke less when I use them.

Wow, indeed scary. I don't think I'll let it affect my decision, real cigarettes can be just as dangerous. I'll admit I frequently burn holes in my blankets......

Ooops.

Very great responses guys, think I'll look into some more info. Didn't think it was this common and glad I had some fellow ATSers input.

I can suggest Greensmoke and V2 ecigs. They are around the same price range as blu, but have far better ratings that I have found. I have tried the rechargeable blu cigs and they leak and are not quite up to par...however the disposable ones are pretty good.

Was it the original Blu or the new "premium" models? I'm leaning heavily towards them because they seem simple easy and great quality 80% of the other sites seem shady to me.

From my understanding.. The cause of the battery exploding was the guy didn't know what he was doing while modding.. Unvented battery, I believe.

Either way...Anything with a battery ( ie. laptop) could be just as dangerous, if the battery was not vented.
