Joe Rogan picks astrophysicist Neil degrasse Tyson's brain for over 2 1/2 hours yesterday on his podcast the Joe Rogan Experience. Joe kicks off the interview by bringing up a favorite conspiracy topic and asks Neil if we really went to the Moon. Joe admits he once believed we didn't go to the Moon, although he does now, and begins delving into the conspiracy theories getting Neil's take on them, who in turn debunks them. The conspiracy session only lasts for about 30 minutes until Mr. Tyson takes Joe's listeners on a guided tour through space, blowing minds and educating all at once.

If you really believe the Moon landing was a hoax then by all means press Play right now and listen to what Mr. Tyson has to say about it. The man definitely is not your average Joe Q. Public.

Haha.. He's been getting very popular.. I didn't realize when I saw him on fear factor that he was an MMA fighter, nor that he had a black belt.. Then I didn't know he was a comedian... Then I found out he was kind of intelligent.. Then I found his podcast...

He gets really good guests, and they actually get to talk for long periods of time.. Tommy Chong, Dennis Mckenna, Amber Lyon (CNN cover ups)

I've probably learned more about health and life and a good way to be from that podcast than maybe ATS even..

I searched and found this topic.. Im about 1.5 hours in... Thought I would make a thread.. Beat me too it haha..

Heres a few of the podcast's guests.. Orange are some of the ones I think are important. 245-274.. Most of the episodes are good and leave you feeling smarter at the end.

episode guide

244. Immortal Technique (rapper, activist)
245. Robb Wolf (nutrition expert)
246. Maynard J Keenan (singer, A Perfect Circle, Tool)
247. Tito Ortiz (former UFC light heavyweight champion)

248. Tom Rhodes (comedian)
249. Bert Kresicher (comedian)
250. Joey Diaz (comedian)
251. Bryan Callen (comedian, actor, MadTV)
252. Jamie Kilstein (comedian)
253. Andrew Dice Clay, Max Silverstein and Eleanor J. Kerrigan (comedians)
254. Everlast (rapper, House of Pain, La Coka Nostra)
255. Duncan Trussell (comedian)
256. David Seaman (U.S. Congressional candidate, Florida’s 20th district)
257. Immortal Technique (rapper), Swave Sevah (rapper), DJ GI Joe (DJ)

258. Bryan Callen (comedian, actor, MadTV)
259. Mike Birbiglia (comedian)
260. Greg Fitzsimmons (comedian)
261. Ari Shaffir (comedian)
262. Freeway Rick Ross (the original Rick Ross)
263. Kat Von D (tattoo artist, model) and Eddie Bravo (Mixed Martial Artist, former UFC commentator)

264. Tom Segura (comedian)
265. Sam Tripoli (Sam Tripoli’s Naughty Show Podcast, Deathsquad) and Shane Smith (founder of VICE magazine)
266. Rich Roll (vegan, triathlete)
267. Mac Danzig (lightweight UFC fighter)
268. Joey Diaz (comedian)
269. Tait Fletcher (former light heavyweight MMA fighter, Deathsquad)
270. Kevin Pereira (former co-host of G4′s Attack of the Show!)
271. Brian Rose and Nic Gabriel (hosts of London Real podcast)
272. Duncan Trussell (comedian), Joey Diaz (comedian), Ian Edwards (comedian)
273. Amber Lyon (former CNN reporter, whistle-blower against corruption)
274. Alex Grey (psychedelic artist)

The Neil Degrasse Tyson one is really good.. I love the way Rogan knows how to get to the heart of the matter.. He really gets people to talk about things in such an understandable way.. Tyson talking about pencil lead and carbon had me go "woah." in my head, because I could see it happening... Carbon interesting? guess so.

Here's a short GOOD video giving any newbies a taste of what the podcast turns into quite often..

The deGrasse podcast just went into PlanetX/Nemesis... This is surely an ATS podcast. Went through all the fake moonlanding stuff including the kubrick part.. Chemtrails.. Super Volcanoes.. Asteroids.. Comets.. Mass extinctions...

a little bit past 1:36:00

Neil Tyson: "We've got black holes that are flaying stars layer by layer.. Do you realize that if you fall into a black hole, you will see the entire future of the universe unfold in front of you in a matter of moments you will emerge into another space-time created by the singularity of the black hole you just fell into?"

Joe Rogan: "You just broke the internet."

Just finished the whole podcast.. That was epic..
Neil Tyson is actually a pretty funny guy.. hearing what he said at the end surprised me, about his openness..

My girl didn't see it so now I have an excuse to hook up the HDMI, go TV style and watch again with her.. hehe..

Oh and Brian only interjected one or maybe two intelligent responses which I guess was a wise choice having such a high profile guest..

And a NEW Cosmos Coming out on Fox..

What makes Joe Rogan's opinion anything more then any other average person. A TV job some how adds some magic knowledge of reality.

Dont think anyone has said Rogans opinion is worth more.
It's the guests that drop the knowledge and the JRE provides a suitably lengthy platform for people with views outside of the MSM to have a platform.

The whole attraction of the JRE is that its normal conversation interaction...not the kind of make believe, be on your best behavior like your granny is arround, TV nonsense we see when producers and executives get involved.

You can see through peoples fake TV personality.. The camera is basically just looking at them.. There's no interruptions.. It's just 2.5 hours of talk, and it could go anywhere..

People can't bull for that long, and Joe asks Good questions that don't give sound byte answers because he keeps driving in a nice respectful way when he senses a lie, or a weak concept, or something wrong..

I mean he had Tyson admitting that some of the moon video was possibly faked, hahaha... While at the same time making so much sense about how it wasn't faked.. I loved that part. It's what I think too that some of the video and a few pictures were edited, or filmed on earth, but not to fake a moon landing, just add to it..

It's not about Joe Rogan. It's about the great knowledge gained, and this feeling like you just want to be more responsible, more grown up..

Not to downplay Rogan because he is intelligent. Not always right haha, but thoughtful..

Here: From the "JRE #273" podcast 3 minutes long.

Anyone else notice DeGrasse expertly dodging/redirecting some of Rogans questions? Ive watched 38 minutes so far, and Ive noticed it either twice or thrice now. Seems Rogan catches one of the redirects or so, but strays off into other questions without pressing for a direct answer.

I find his dodging suspicious.

And in the minds of all the most intelligent people in the world. But hey, you know better than all the super geniuses!

ETA: Anyone who has not watched a UFC fight card needs to, Joe Rogan does the announcing and he is quite amazing at it.

Neil is among the ranks of Morgan Freeman of men I could listen to endlessly and not tire of. That man is the truth! Great interview I just let 2 and a half hours disapear in a lesson about the cosmos. S & F for the find and share.
