Glad you're feeling better. That question of whether we 'should' need a supplement for C, let alone high dosage, is a good one. It's a very long article, but it is explained for the layman here:
hypernutrient.blogspot.com...

Thanks, that was quite informative article.

Personally, I'm against taking OTC vitamin C pills and reluctant to take liposomal vitamin C (as it's supposedly made with powder). I'm more inclined to take what mother nature gives us, naturally, so I've recently started to eat parsley (Full of vitamin C) and drinking infusions of this incredible plant and my health is MUCH more better than before...

Very Good blog! So well layed out and covers the entire story of Lipo C. Obviously taken from various sources and forums... the same ones I read and puts all the info together.

Thanks for sharing the link!

Bookmarking to show my grandma tomorrow.

She has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

If the doctors say you are going to die, then what is the harm in trying anything? This question is for the naysayers.

I'm taking Niacinamide 1500mg, L-lysine 1000mg, and viva labs circumin. I'd like to add liposomal vitamin C but I'm wondering if it's ok to take along with these? I can take the vitamin C separately from the others if needed, is there anything I should be worried about other than that?

While Vitamin C has been shown to kill pancreatic cancer it must be done under close doctor supervision. Vitamin C can work too well. Meaning that it can kill the cancer cells too fast... faster than the body can absorb the dead cells which can be toxic to the body. Starting out with smaller doses and building up to larger doses over time. Find a naturalpathic doctor in your area. Treating cancer with Vitamin C is not FDA approved so expect resistance... but you can prevail.

There shouldn't be any problem adding Vitamin C to your regimen. Head over to the Vitamin C foundation forum for more info. There are discussion there of people using the same ones you are.

Does it do any good for anyone with enlarged prostrate or even prostrate cancer ?
My brother is going in for a biopsy next week and doesn't really want to as he's heard bad things.

It is interesting in our study, therefore, that prostate cancer patients showed the most benefit (in terms of reduced PSA and CRP levels) from IVC therapy.

Medical Study

that combinations of C and E vitamins modulate the antioxidant network and blocks survivin gene expression in androgen-responsive and non-responsive human prostate cancer cell (HPCC) lines.

I do agree with the original poster.

Out of all the species that have inhabited our beautiful planet, I think only 4 or 5 species do not produce their own vitamin C. This unfortunately includes us, other primates, bats, guinea pigs, and may be a few others. Since we are supposed to be very similar to all other primates, it is easy to make comparisons with them.

Please review the following paper:

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

beyond-belief.org.uk...

A primate weighing around my weight (170 lb) eats 6-8g of vitamin C a day, and this is just on a normal day. I think it is safe to assume that, like other animals, when stressed, they would eat more than what they eat on a normal day.

When recommending higher doses they found that it caused diarrhea.

But the true healing affects don’t kick in until doses are at 500 – 1500 mgs a day.

And you can’t get that high amount through over the counter supplements, diet, pills or powders.

Thank you for putting this information out, Julie. As a fellow high-dose ascorbate expert/advocate, the more of us out there the better.

I just have one correction to make as to the above statement you made. It is incorrect. I agree that diet can never provide high enough amounts of vitamin C to provide a therapeutic level in the body; however, divided doses (pill or powder) of 1-2 grams/hour actually raise the blood levels to well beyond your stated 1500 mg.

Dr. Robert Cathcart proved this using his method of titrating to bowel tolerance levels
orthomolecular.org/library/jom/1981/pdf/1981-v10n02-p125.pdf

While I too make my own liposomal vitamin C (as well as magnesium and glutathione), this is best for intracellular intake, while either IV vitC or powder/pill is best for the bloodstream, since the liposomes tend to keep the ascorbate encapsulated until penetrating cell walls.

For this reason, I tend to recommend the use of both forms simultaneously for the most thorough therapeutic effect.

One of my all-time favorite presenters on the subject of high-dose vitC therapy is Thomas E. Levy MD, JD. Here is an excellent video presentation by Dr. Levy:

There is a a group that has started and IndieGoGo Campaign to raise funds to launch a in depth documentary on the benefits of HIGH DOSE Vitamin C called:

Vitamin C: The Unsung Molecule" to be distributed FREE on Youtube.

Vitamin C: The Unsung Molecule is a movie that explores Vitamin C in an in-depth manner and provides an audio-visual reference to a worldwide audience that helps people understand the healing properties of Vitamin C in treating major diseases. The movie will be distributed free on YouTube in 2016, and the creators are raising production funds through an IndieGoGo campaign.

On February 9, 2014, the BBC published an article about a team of American scientists who had obtained startling results in the treatment of cancer using massive injections of Vitamin C. Japanese researchers found similar results. Early research seems to indicate that Vitamin C or ascorbic acid lies at the center of the biochemical processes necessary for life. Taken in high doses, Vitamin C may be able to kill viruses and prove more powerful than antibiotics.

...The movie will be filmed between September 2015 and April 2106 and will be released later in 2016. Copies will also be sent to television channels around the world. All funds over the amount required for production will be donated to research.

I will be SO EXCITED to see this come out!!

All is still well - no sicknesses now for.... I'm losing track... is it three years now going on four. No flues, bronchitis, pneumonias since starting Liposomal Vitamin C.

I made a summary image for Cathcart's primary bowel tolerance article some time ago you might like.

I suspect the older this thread gets the bigger the likelyhood that links in the original post will no longer work.

Here is another link to his original paper.

Thanks.

Naw the link that didn't work was to an image here in this forum that I uploaded a long time ago. The popup layer panel doesn't let me paste anything in it.

The link I posted is to a tiny blog I have where I made the image as a summary of the paper's abstract, figures and primary info.

Got locked out of my account so had to make a new one.

Been on the Liposomal Vitamin C for 11 years now and haven't really been sick. I've had maybe 2 colds in the last decade and that's all.

This stuff has been life changing.

For those of us who may be new to this form of "C" and may not want to read over a dozen pages, what is the normal dose of liposomal C per day?

Thanks.
