Visiting NYC in a few weeks!!

1st time in the apple, cant freaking wait!

Looking for advice on good clothes shops (mens), not just the big touristy ones but smaller independant designer types. Also what districts are there some nice bars clubs? Looking for trendy or as you guys call them 'hipster' bars.

I'll be doing most of my travelling south of central park ( I know there will be more to see but im only there a week), also is it worth taking a trip to New JErsey while im there?
