He didn't even get that right (neither did you). Listen again. He told Morgan to wear the colours of the Jolly Roger, the flag of pirates of the high seas. Perhaps a slip on Jones' part, but whether unintentional or not, more apt a suggestion than the flag of the Union, and probably the only decent thing he said in the entire interview.

Alex wins for the theatrics and the large canvas of related topics that connect with the gun issue

Piers attempted to be the deep, thoughtful thinker...but his cherry picked numbers which were supposed to silence the critics who support gun availibility were just too much of a trap to the keen viewer

There was no winner to the true fence-sitter

Whoa... epic fail.

The kicker for me is Alex ranting about how the problem isn't guns, but violent people, then proceeds to suggest that next time, instead of a debate, they should physically fight it out in a ring. Seriously!?!?!

Another perfect example of the messenger killing the message.

It seems to happen every time, he actually gets a pulpit with the potential of reaching millions of new viewers, and loses it, looks like a total bufoon, and discredits the potential intelligent discussion I believe is required about many of the topics Alex is known to go on about.

Oh well, I'm sure no one is surprised.

How the hell do you guys not see Alex is a bully? He's projecting his own evil onto the government. This idiot actually took a swipe for Pierce's cards. He claimed the guy was using "little factoids" and then proceeded to give facts...

That's not a leader. That's a narcissist.

Jones and people like him are the reason the rest of the world think the United States is pretty much one big lunatic asylum. I'm a Brit, and I get the whole gun control issue. Couldn't give a monkey's if next door wanted an arsenal personally, but Jones can't help but come across like a raving madman, and raving madmen shouldn't have guns. Now I'm not agreeing with Dershowitz, that Jones would be an "exibit" for gun control, but that's how they guy comes across. He's a walking cliché, always shooting one's self in the foot.

Jones wasn't there to debate! The 2nd amendment is not up for debate. I thought he was amazing and I was never even a fan of his. He came out no holds barred doing to Pierce exactly what Pierce does to other guests. So what if he was very high strung, that's what I loved about it. He showed his true feelings and wouldn't let that POS morgan get to say anything more then repeating the same stupid point over and over. Alex won by a landslide in my opinion. Pierce and the other guy tried there best to make him seem like a nut on the next segment.

After that I went and signed the petition to deport the wanker.

Funny how no matter what keywords I searched for in google, I could not get a link to the petition to show up in the results!

Yeah, Alex is the man when it come to "little factoids" himself.

His fans don't seem to understand the meaning of decorum when it comes to debate, and as I've said many time in the past it always makes me question his true motivations, regardless, this is an example of doing more harm than good for his cause.

People, when a person enters an arena such as this broadcast, reaching millions, it becomes a matter of purporting your cause in a serious and deliberate manner, if not the majority of viewers won't take what Jones has to say seriously. AJ's whole message is supposedly about "waking people up" to the realities of what is going on.......last night he failed himself, he failed his fans, he failed his cause.

In a meeting of the minds such as this, there are no winners.

Morgan completely owned Jones by allowing him to be the crazy nut job he is.

I swear, that debate is like every gun debate here on ATS. One person using facts about gun violence and how where guns are banned there is less gun deaths and the other person just talking complete crazy and saying that "factoids" don't matter while making up complete garbage.

I can't see how anyone can watch Alex Jones and think "Yeah, I'm on his side". Any honest "conspiracy theorist" should be ashmaed of Alex Jones, he is the reason everyone thinks you are nut jobs.

Here's the segment on Morgan's show after AJ had left:

Alex played right into Morgans hands.

Love the man or hate him, there's something you've got to realize... If it weren't for the actions and words of radicals, moderates would never sway. It takes people like Alex Jones or Rush Limbaugh to get folks like John Q. Public to actually get off their arses and do something tangible, even if only to open a dialogue.
I despise talking head shows, Americans spend something like 9 billion hours a week watching that tube, imagine if that time was spent raising kids properly or buying gun safes instead...

I will have to go back and listen to it again then (it was late at the time)....if so ("jolly roger") then it might have been a freudian slip. Are you talking about Obama's colors worn by him and his family at his acceptance speech for his first election?

Neither won anything, since they are both shills for opposite sides of the coin.

When are you going to realize these fellows are OUTLIERS and DO NOT represent the median or "Middle" averages of society.

It's amazing what the extreme fringes of society want to push as false ideologies and spark as much cognitive dissonance as possible to cause conflicts.

They are both wrong, even if they expouse a limited number of facts shrouded in propaganda.

Just like the gun debate, it's not the guns that is the problem it is the people.

Hey we've got alot of people dying of road rage so let's make ALL VEHICLES illegal; that will cut-down on the death rate.

NO. Let's address the real problem and go deeper to a personal level and fix he cognitive dissonance which frustrates those tho won't think with reason and logic but out of emotion and act-out and then commit violent crimes whether it is one using a gun or other inanimate object to harm. Guns like cars don't kill people, PEOPLE kill PEOPLE.

If we cannot even address this truth, spurious laws will be legislated by assuming and interpreting statistics which are not practical and often based-in invalid argument.

I think this shows that Alex has some brain damage from I suspect some steroid abuse early in his life. I hope someone who knows him will read this and suggest to him that he start taking some supplements that will help him. I would suggest the following.

Source Naturals brand GABA Calm
Any good brand of 5-HTP tryptophan
Any good brand of PS phosphatidylserine

It will not cure the damage to his brain but it will help him suppress the symptoms. He can convey the same message far better if his excitotoxins are under control when he speaks. I felt sorry for him.

It all seems scripted like an old black and white Saturday morning wrestling rerun....and that includes AJs role (I could see him with one of those mexican wrestling full face masks, lucha libre style). Did you notice how Dershowitz said conversationally "I'd be afraid that he would reach for a semi-automatic?" People dont talk that way....they say "gun" (or handgun or firearms or weapon)....AD, you mean you would be afraid if he reached for a "semi-auto" weapon but not say his .357 Colt Python revolver? S-C-R-I-P-T-E-D.

I agree, his excited state and attitude while sitting very very close to Morgan, without any reaction, tipped me off that this was very STAGED.

If someone acted like that in my personal space, they'd be admonished very quickly and if that didn't work to soften their tone, they would receive the same treatment in response.

If that didn't work they'd be escorted out of the studio.

Did anyone notice the impromptu "cut" after the interview got very heated at one point? How contrived did this seem? It seemed very contrived to me and I saw straight through the smoke and mirrors, because that's all it is, smoke and mirrors to rile-up the people who do not realize the tricks media and the handlers use to inflame public opinion.

C'mon, can you not do any better than this, whomever you are? Every trick you use, is seen for what it is.

Just because you sit in the nice cozy box at the top of the stadium sipping champagne and think you are a "Watcher," don't ever forget there are those who are WATCHING you all from outside of the stadium and who see EVERYTHING.
