the Simpsons are known for hidden subliminal messages. just watch tv for one day, music videos and all and see the symbolism and messages everywhere. once you get the knowledge your eyes open up like damn this stuff really could be true.

I think you watch too many cartoons. All media we see on mainstream TV, is a mirror of what is trending at the moment. If everyone had been talking about making a better dog biscuit...if everyone was tweeting dog biscuit recipes, and posting about dog biscuits on FB...the Simpsons writers would be whipping up an episode on...dog biscuits.

When was the last time you spent a whole day outside, just looking at real life around you...just curious...

why are you on this site if you cannot keep a open mind? you know the reason things might keep happening is because people like you refuse to wake up and see the big cock banging you. You want to quickly reject some one and bash them like they just bringing a bunch of nonsense but you are joined to a conspiracy site.... ahhh blows my mind.

Maybe the creators follow Max Keiser and his prediction of the collapse by tax day

You keep saying "they"...as though its a real family. No, its a real group of writers and animators, actors and producers.

The Simpson "cartoon" family meant nothing by it...neither did the writers. As a matter of fact...youre expected to take it as being the ridiculous way society is absolutely convinced 2012 doomsday "end-of'everything-America-too"... as though its still coming.

It was a tongue-in-cheek remark as though to say...."wasnt that stupid of us to believe that?!".

I spend many days outside in the real world. Do you know what I see?

I see global financial trouble. I wake up and see problems such as a fiscal cliff.

I read the paper and see they pass bills without reading them.

I see that the entire world's economy is crumbling at our feet, and I see the masses are struggling to make ends meet, but are completely ignorant that society is crumbling.

I spend lots of time in the real world. I do not see a fancy roses and unicorn future.

The debt ceiling needs to be raised, yet, they magically come up with 200 billion in extra-ordinary measures. Where was that the last time they reached the debt ceiling and the government was going to shut down... Anyone remember that?

What will happen when they have to raise the ceiling? Which is scheduled right around the time the simpsons have pinpointed.

I am awake to the real world indeed.

Are you?

Yeah 9/11....but where does it show in the magazine depicted it would happen in 2001?

The point is that if true economic collapse is on 04/01...what is the year? Could be 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, etc....

No one can predict this, or can they?

Here is some interesting news relating to what the latest episode of the simpsons talks about.

I saw this episode last night. While it was primarily focused on satirizing "preppers" and "doomsdayers", it was also not too subtly slamming conservatives. I'm sure in a future episode they will balance this out with some stinging satire against liberals ( they almost always balance it out), but it will never be as bad then when they go after the "right", and this is the case with so much on television these days, there is such a blatant agenda. Whats disappointing for me is that im a life-long fan of The Simpsons, I literally grew up watching the show. On top of the quality plateauing since 2000 and then steadily declining since 2003-'04, they are now a Democratic/Liberal mouthpiece, right up there with Saturday Night Live, when they used to be pretty neutral when it came to politics.

the thing that made me say "wait just a minute" in the episode was when they were in their bunker or whatever it was and the guy had the modified scope for making killing people easier. it, of course, had a set of angry eyebrows drawn on the scope to make everyone look angry when you were aiming down the sights. well, he went through the whole group looking at them through it, and when he got to maggie, he stopped and very ominously said "bang". at the least, it was very tacky of the writers to make such jokes after a bunch of kids got killed in a school shooting. at the most, and its a stretch, they are trying to hint us in that it was a staged event.

I saw that too, but I believe I know what the writers were going for. Maggie has a somewhat of a reputation (from a fan's perspective anyway) as being "The most dangerous Simpson". She shot Mr. Burns, she protected Homer from the Mafia and Yakuza by firing warning shots from her room (unbeknownst to the family), she became a "master fencer" when doing a mock battle with Lisa, she shot at Homer with a nail gun and she has shown to take great joy in weapons and violence in general. Those are just a few examples. I think what this scene was doing was kinda "breaking the 4th wall". In this bunker full of adults with guns and, I guess, various mental/stability problems, the one baby, with her history of violent tendencies and weapon usage would actually be the most dangerous. Superintendent Chalmers, briefly embodying the lifetime fan/viewer and/or the writers of the show, by looking thorough his "modified" scope and cycling through his targets, knows this about Maggie and deems her most dangerous, thus mock shooting her. Of course, not too long after this, he gets into an argument with Lindsey Nagel and ends up mock shooting everyone, if I remember correctly.

TL;DR- nothing sinister behind the mock shooting of Maggie, just a good laugh for those in the know.

Just remember there's the obvious reason why something is done and then when it come's down to it there's the real reason why something is done. What was said in that room when they wrote that into the episode we'll never know.

Oh wow. This thread just reinforces the message that episode was making. But, of course, people don't see that because they were too busy or "smart" looking of clues and signs...ooh signs.

If I said to you guys in '97 that the twin towers are going to be a target some time in the near future because I saw it on the Simpsons you'd say I was nuts...but look what happened.

And if it didn't happen, someone would jump up and claim that because they predicted it, they prevented it.

They specified america's collapse. Which means only one thing. Financial collapse. It's been brewing for a very long time. It has to happen sooner or later. It is very possible it could be mere weeks away, especially with the debt ceiling coming up.

Yes the Tables will be turned,
as He carries The Book in one hand and The Sword in the other.
No Room shall remain Unentered and no Corner left Unswept.
So it is Written, So Shall it be Done.

Out of boredom; I took this posters random capitals...ythtbtsnrucuswssd made logical separators: y tht btsn rucus ws sd and googled it. One result came back an archived news paper; newspaper.twinfallspubliclibrary.org/files/Times.../1999_11_24.pdf On the very front page it says Simpson and Married with Children in two separate articles that have nothing to do with the shows. Going through and reading just the headlines there are some odd coincidences, with this article and current events chatter.

Such as twins shooting, Twin falls keep perfect record in tact...more weird coincidental connections too. Just something weird I'd throw out there; collective conscience and all that. Any delusional types might want to take some meds; if they dive into this one...I will not be responsible for chained thoughts; this may bring that only you understand. Pointing this out for FUN only...yes; I entertain myself in weird ways.

P.S. if you click that link instead of quick view; the news paper with download in .pdf form so be forewarned.
