He's an American, I'm an American. I'm not a citizen of the world and all that other new age, one world bullcrap.
The Constitution is the supreme law. It's the government. It doesn't make any difference how old it is.
The truth does not change no matter how many years go by.
If you're an American you either believe in freedom or you're a traitor. If you wish to silence people, you are an enemy of freedom.
Freedom is letting others be free to believe, say and live how they want so long as they don't harm others or the property of another. You can't let people have the freedom of speech so long as it doesn't bother you.
If you try to stop others from being free, you stop yourself and everyone else. The way you talk is really stupid.edit on 1-1-2013 by soaringhawk because: (no reason given)
What if i want to be free to send my children to a school that isn't surrounded by millions of people that could be suffering from mental health, yet still have multiple avenues of acquiring dangerous assault rifles and pistols.
Arm everyone and give them prozac? Is that your solution?
Oh and saying that what i have to say is really stupid, just shows how much you believe in your constitutional rights.
Anything in this thread is moot anyhow since the OP has failed to show how the FBI were planning to assassinate OWS protestors. All that is written is that they were worried that a lone gunman may hide them self in the mass crowd and become a security threat to not only the general public but OWS protestors.
The OP tells me to read for myself and i did, do that is how i see it. extra DIV

It's curious no one has mentioned this yet. But the document made references to having spied on internet discussions. Isn't that pretty much hard documented proof that there are in fact government trolls / shills lurking about online communities? When I read something like this, it doesn't seem so hard to believe that government trolls could be lurking around ATS as well.

Yeah, this does not clearly say the government was planning assassinations. Without knowing what the redacted part says, it could be anyone. Frankly, the way it reads to me, it more seems like the FBI was made aware of possibly some anti-OWS group or maybe hitmen working for Wall Street interests that were prepping to carry out assassinations. Several paragraphs immediately after are fully redacted, which could be detailing how this intel was - or was not - handled.edit on 2013/1/1 by evilod because: (no reason given)

Maybe use your amended rights at take up arms.
Nope. Too scared.
Instead of using arms to protect your rights you shoot them off in the air or threaten to shoot Mexicans with them. And then you are surprised when they end up in the hands of evil who use them to rob people and slaughter dozens at a time indiscriminately.

Did you just really write that?...
BTW, you might be referring the SHARIA LAW, show me where in the U.S. Constitution it gives the right to men to have power over women... Not to mention other practices which are seen as normal under Sharia Law and in ALL Muslim nations...
You have to be out of your mind to make such a statement...

You keep on showing nothing but ignorance through and through...
First of all, the mayority of the CRIMINALS get their weapons in the BLACK MARKET...
Gangs have FULLY AUTOMATED WEAPONS, which MOST Americans do not have and are for the most part illegal...
You go ahead and go to every weapon store and ask to see a FULLY automated rifle... And don't use the definition "assault rifle"... Assault rifles shoot one bullet for every trigger pull just like pistols/hanguns...
Leave it to your leftwing government under Obama to GIVE American assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels so that they can then claim to brainwashed Americans like yourself that "it is because of the second amendment right that CRIMINALS like the Mexican drug cartels have American weapons...
Inform yourself at least some before you make such ignorant comments please...

So quick question... OBama himself and SEVERAL U.S. politicians, mostly the left/democrats were rallying with the protestors and siding with them to the point that even democrat politicians were going on marches with the OWS protesters...
The FBI wouldn't move a finger when the sitting U.S. President, and administration is in fact SIDING with the OWS movement... So what exactly does that tell you about all this?...
i see a CLEAR false flag on this...edit on 1-1-2013 by ElectricUniverse because: (no reason given)

Most cowboys from when that was written probably threw their hats in the air before anyone could read the rest, and the rest is history.
Thomas Woodrow Wilson (December 28, 1856 – February 3, 1924) was the 28th President of the United States, from 1913 to 1921. A leader of the Progressive Movement, he served as President of Princeton University from 1902 to 1910, and then as the Governor of New Jersey from 1911 to 1913. Running against Republican incumbent William Howard Taft, Socialist Party of America candidate Eugene V. Debs, and former President Progressive ("Bull Moose") Party candidate Theodore Roosevelt, Wilson was elected President as a Democrat in 1912.
In his first term as President Wilson persuaded a Democratic Congress to pass major progressive reforms. Historian John M. Cooper argues that, in his first term, Wilson successfully pushed a legislative agenda that few presidents have equaled, and remained unmatched up until the New Deal.[1] This agenda included the Federal Reserve Act, Federal Trade Commission Act, the Clayton Antitrust Act, the Federal Farm Loan Act and an income tax. Child labor was curtailed by the Keating–Owen Act of 1916, but the U.S. Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional in 1918.

And there are people out there right now that think disarming the public is a good idea because our government would never turn on us? This right here in black and white is proof that disarming the public is a bad idea. You are just scum that they scrape from their boot heel and have no regard for your existence. These documents show that the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are treating protests against the corporate and banking structure of America as potential criminal and terrorist activity. These documents also show these federal agencies functioning as a de facto intelligence arm of Wall Street and Corporate America
As early as August 19, 2011, the FBI in New York was meeting with the New York Stock Exchange to discuss the Occupy Wall Street protests that wouldn’t start for another month.
Documents released show coordination between the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and corporate America. They include a report by the Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC), described by the federal government as “a strategic partnership between the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the private sector,”........The DSAC report shows the nature of secret collaboration between American intelligence agencies and their corporate clients - the document contains a “handling notice” that the information is “meant for use primarily within the corporate security community.
The Federal Reserve in Richmond appears to have had personnel surveilling OWS planning. They were in contact with the FBI in Richmond to “pass on information regarding the movement known as occupy Wall Street.” There were repeated communications “to pass on updates of the events and decisions made during the small rallies and the following information received from the Capital Police Intelligence Unit through JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force).”

If the "left" is so responsible for the Global Banking Cartel, Federal Reserve etc, then why do I see on so many forums, those on the "right" defending it?
“The death of Lincoln was a disaster for Christendom. There was no man in the United States great enough to wear his boots and the bankers went anew to grab the riches. I fear that foreign bankers with their craftiness and tortuous tricks will entirely control the exuberant riches of America and use it to systematically corrupt civilization.” Otto von Bismark ((1815-1898), German Chancellor, after the Lincoln assassination)
“Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.” Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744-1812), founder of the House of Rothschild.
“I am afraid the ordinary citizen will not like to be told that the banks can and do create money. And they who control the credit of the nation direct the policy of Governments and hold in the hollow of their hand the destiny of the people.” Reginald McKenna, (as Chairman of the Midland Bank, addressing stockholders in 1924.)
The First Bank of the United States was a central bank, chartered for a term of twenty years, by the United States Congress on February 25, 1791. Establishment of the Bank was included in a three-part expansion of federal fiscal and monetary power (along with a federal mint and excise taxes) championed by Alexander Hamilton, first Secretary of the Treasury. Hamilton believed a central bank was necessary to stabilize and improve the nation's credit, and to improve handling of the financial business of the United States government under the newly enacted Constitution.
Officially proposed to the first session of the First Congress in 1790, Hamilton's Bank faced widespread resistance from opponents of increased federal power. Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson and James Madison led the opposition, which claimed that the bank was unconstitutional, and that it benefited merchants and investors at the expense of the majority of the population.

The happiest population
We are in 1750. The United States of America does not yet exist; it is the 13 Colonies of the American continent, forming “New England”, a possession of the motherland, England. Benjamin Franklin wrote about the population of that time: “Impossible to find a happier and more prosperous population on all the surface of the globe.” Going over to England to represent the interests of the Colonies, Franklin was asked how he accounted for the prosperous conditions prevailing in the Colonies, while poverty was rife in the motherland:
“That is simple,” Franklin replied. “In the Colonies we issue our own money. It is called Colonial Scrip. We issue it in proper proportion to make the products pass easily from the producers to the consumers. In this manner, creating ourselves our own paper money, we control its purchasing power, and we have no interest to pay to no one.”
The English bankers, being informed of that, had a law passed by the British Parliament prohibiting the Colonies from issuing their own money, and ordering them to use only the gold or silver debt-money that was provided in insufficient quantity by the English bankers. The circulating medium of exchange was thus reduced by half.
“In one year,” Franklin stated, “the conditions were so reversed that the era of prosperity ended, and a depression set in, to such an extent that the streets of the Colonies were filled with unemployed.”
Then the Revolutionary War was launched against England, and was followed by the Declaration of Independence in 1776. History textbooks erroneously teach that it was the tax on tea that triggered the American Revolution. But Franklin clearly stated:
“The Colonies would gladly have borne the little tax on tea and other matters, had it not been the poverty caused by the bad influence of the English bankers on the Parliament: which has caused in the Colonies hatred of England, and the Revolutionary War.”
The Founding Fathers of the United States, bearing all these facts in mind, and to protect themselves against the exploitation of the International Bankers, took good care to expressly declare, in the American Constitution, signed at Philadelphia, in 1787, Article 1, Section 8, paragraph 5:
“Congress shall have the power to coin money and to regulate the value thereof.”
The bank of the bankers
Alexander Hamilton
But the bankers did not give up. Their agent, Alexander Hamilton, was named Secretary of Treasury in George Washington's cabinet, and advocated the establishment of a federal bank to be owned by private interests, and the creation of debt-money with false arguments like: “A national debt, if it is not excessive, will be to us a national blessing... The wisdom of the Government will be shown in never trusting itself with the use of so seducing and dangerous an expedient as issuing its own money.” Hamilton also made them believe that only the debt-money issued by private banks would be accepted in dealing abroad.
