Oh, I feel so much better now - although it's been a terrible year, I was still blessed with a true miracle! So thank you so much for making this post... it made me realise not everyhing's been doom and gloom.

It may have been a rotten year but we define ourselves by how we pick ourselves up, not by what caused us to fall.

Glad your cat is better!

The best moment in my life this year was when the doctors told me that I did NOT have brain cancer!

The next best moment was when my father was able to LEAVE the hospital and not die before Christmas. He is home now with hospice.

The third best thing is that my kids are happy and that my husband still loves me no matter what!!!

PS A broad sword huh? My hubby wants one of those too....

Bless and keep you! I hope 2013 is even better!

(get your husband the broad sword, he'll love it!)

The youngest is 9. Old enough to learn good swordsmanship!

(don't tell the missus)

I hope you can find something good this past year.

Just a warning, babies can make opposite toddlers.

Not all the time and you may be a lucky one, but happy babies can make miserable toddlers, and vice versa. Keep an eye open. lol

And many congratulations for you! I LOVE BABIES!

As my mother always says, just remember, you gave birth to a teenager. lolol

Mine just turned 7. I miss 5. Can we go back to 5?

They turn into squirrel monkeys about that age. I thought to use duct tape and a wiffle ball bat on ours but the missus thought scouts and obscene amount of running and exercise would be better.

(I'm keeping the bat for when he turns 13

So far this year.. I have been assaulted twice (which did not go well for them), been made homeless, estranged from my family (long story), estranged from my girlfriend (another long story)..

But..

Found a great job.. Somewhere to live.. And am "talking" with my girl again ;-)..

So victory has been snatched from the jaws of defeat..

This soldier ends 2012 a happy man

Squirrel monkeys? LMFAO

That pretty much explains it. I am surprised he doesn't urinate on a banana and throw it.

After all it was a good year.
I finally sold my old house and bought a new one, slightly better, something I try to do for 3 years. On the down side I can't move in it until march, but it was worth the wait.
I started my own little business doing something I enormously enjoy; still in diapers,( the business) I only sell to artists fair, but I feel like I have a purpose. I also gained a lot of experience and skills as an artist.
I discovered Minecraft, god bless Notch

I joined facebook (damn!) for business purposes.
I resumed my spiritual practice, after a break of also 3-4 years.

But best of all, I survived the end of the world 2012!!!!!

It was a great year.
S&F and a Happy New Year to everyone!

2 years ago lost my house and family. Got caught between an insurance company and my mortgage carrier. This year moved out of the hotel(which didn't allow visitors) I was wallowing in and have my own place. Awesome and the kids are around too.

Honestly, so many good things have happened this year, I couldn't possibly pick. It used to be that I dwelled on negative stuff a lot, and now everything seems awesome.
The best things this year have been:

Finally after three years getting an official diagnosis for poly-cystic ovarian syndrome. This is good because it has set other things in motion to get it sorted out.

Losing weight/getting into shape. I am one of what seems to be very few people who made the resolution back in Jan 1st 2012 to lose weight, and I stuck with it.
The resolution this year is to give up soda and alcohol. It does nothing for my weight loss goals, and alcohol plays merry hell with my fibromyalgia. And of course, to continue with my weight loss.

Also: seeing my favourite band, Alexisonfire, for the first and last time.
